I am a passionate AFL fan and would love to share my opinions with the community. I try to not be bias about teams and try to have an open minded opinion. My most memorable match that I have ever watched is the 2006 AFL Grand Final and was a really influential moment in my life.

Thanks for the support swannies05 I suppose you are right that . The Cats were Collingwoods Achilles heel last year. A better example would have been Geelongs 08 season which they only lost to Collingwood ironically in the season proper before the Hawks got them in the grand final.
Can Sydney overcome Collingwood hoodoo?
My Previous comment was aimed at john not for you strummer jones. You do make a fair point though I should have probably used a different word than Impeccable.
Can Sydney overcome Collingwood hoodoo?
Well I can tell you that even the Geelong of 09 still lost to St Kilda by 6 points and got Belted by Brisbane the next week so before making assumptions of me being a noob beacuse my name states so maybe you should realise that this is an opinion website and I was openly writing an opinion piece. My article was also back up with facts and the facts point to that despite having an impeccable season you can still lose when it counts. Last years Grand Final speaks for itself.
Also if you dont like my name you dont have to read my article. Simple
Can Sydney overcome Collingwood hoodoo?
If only Brennans snap with about 3 mins to go hadnt missed maby we would have come away with a win. Speaking of people with pace were are missing Embley so much as much as we have a solid midfield we could use his pace and help support Kerr out on the wings. Plus he has a thumping boot which could provide us with some more goal kicking potential in the midfield with his goals on the run outside 50.
Tough loss a lesson for West Coast
On you stance about umpires I support what you are saying but for me im not undecided im sitting in the middle of the whole umpiring debate. Yes no player should criticise the umpires decisions on field. They have a tough enough job as it is.
There was an article written on here a couple of days ago by McRath which claims that we should be protecting umpires but not to the point that were blanketing ourselves from seeing that they may be continuously making bad decisions and that for our game is something that should be dealt with very harshly.
Yes umpires do from time to time make bad decisions and fair enough they should, there only human too. Though some would argue that they arn’t (Insert Comic Relief Here).
And fans will always cheer or boo the umpires depending on the decisions that they make that is a fact. But if their werent umpires their wouldnt be a game plain and simple.
Are Murphy, Laidler and Minson sorry?
Too right sporting apologies are most likely all the time issued by the person who committed wrong acts because the were forced to issue that apology by someone else aka a club or a sponsor. Just look at Tiger Woods he would have not issued an apology if he hadn’t got caught.
Are Murphy, Laidler and Minson sorry?
Ironicly one of Andy Roddicks most famous comments in tennis history is one in which he said
“Stay in school kids or you’ll end up being an umpire”
Why would you be an Umpire?
Hampsons most accurate game was against Richmond in round 1where he was the leading goal kicker that night with 3.1. Hampson is sitting on 14.2 for the season.
He has been averaging around 1 goal a game and if he were going to play in a Lynch like role and average 1 goal a game the blues are not gonna win many.
What the blues need is a forward line set up similar to St Kilda’s where they have 2 short crumbers aka (Millera and Saad also Steven Milne) and 2 talls Kozzi and Riewoldt. The Blues already have amazing crumbers in Betts and Garrlett but their missing the talls. Fevola was a huge loss for them and thats the sort of forward they need to push them from being a top 8 side into being a top 4 side. They did draft Sam Rowe as a Marque forward but unfortunately he has had a cancer scare. Hopefully he does return next year. But the are just missing that one key player that can provide a tall marking target up forward.
Why do Carlton have the Blues?
Truly Kreuzer is their best ruck this season not Warnock. Agreed im still saying that they have 3 ruckmen on the field but dont use all 3 of them in the ruck I suppose I should eat my words about Warnock because they have always really used him in the ruck. What Carlton need to do is have one of them playing a Quentin Lynch like role at West Coast were he isnt a true ruck but they use him when both Cox and Natanui are having a spell and have only 2 dominant ruckmen. Shaun Hampson sort of plays this role already but if they used one of them in more of that type of role they could have a clear marking target up forward. Also I base the fact they should use Warnock up forward more on that Shaun Hampsons goal kicking this season has been atrocious.
Why do Carlton have the Blues?
One thing that I have always felt the blues should do to boost their forward line is scrap having 3 ruckman. It certainly doesn’t help their cause have Hampson, Kreuzer and Warnock all on the ground at the same time. What the blues should do is scrap having Warnock in the ruck and train him to be a tall forward he has the hight and the strength if they trained him to play in the forward line and keep both Kreuzer and Hampson in the ruck and only use Warnock if either one gets injured or is on the bench for a spell. Also an interesting move last week from Ratten is to move Tuohy to play as a midfielder, i think it was a great call by Ratten and would like to see more of him their.
Why do Carlton have the Blues?
As much I would love to completely fully believe this article being a West Coast supporter I think Polkinghorne’s kick brought the Eagles back to reality this week.
Give the West Coast Eagles the flag now
OMG im so dumb not realising that it was the article below this one
Here come the Tigers, hear them Roar
I really would love for someone to post me a link in this thread about the corresponding article i really would like to read it and see what you are all on about

I recently wrote an article on this I believe that the tigers are here to stay this time
Here come the Tigers, hear them Roar
When I mean second chance I mean by Melbourne selecting him this week to continue his playing career. Many clubs could potentially could have suspended him from playing until his legal battles are resolved. I do apologise if I wasnt being so clear on that.
But I believe like you said that in the eyes of some members of the community he is already seen as a criminal and that the Melbourne football club are doing the best possible thing by Jurrah by giving him a second chance this week by selecting him in their 22.
Also the best possible thing for him is for him to focus on his football career. But I agree like you say if he is found guilty his playing career would be over for good.
Does Jurrah deserve a second chance?
Great Article I would just like to say that your points about Stanton are very valid I believe that he has truly gone under the radar this season apart from the Collingwood game where his ability had been blanketed quite effectively by the Pies defence he will be a true contender performing very very well this season.
Kennedy not the man for the Brownlow
If the Tigers take the advice of Damian Hardwick this week I believe tha they potential not just bounch back but also put themselves into finals contention.
Tigers almost ready to compete with the top eight
I Totally agree RIchmond will bonce back from last week and beat Port even though Port are playing well and its at AAMI
Tigers almost ready to compete with the top eight
I remember in 2009 when both Geelong and St Kilda were both undefeated till they met each other in round 14 2009 where the Saints got over the line by 6 points but this season is shaping out to be a real fair season with pretty much everyone except GWS, Gold Coast and Melbourne still in finals contention.
Sydney v West Coast rivalry 2.0
I think AFL just like any other sport should be opened to everybody no matter culture, race, religion etc. Isn’t the whole reason of sport to bring people together in a social non violent way so im for anything to help out any different culture to bring interest to our game.
AFL's storm in a prayer room
I think that Ratten will somehow have to turn this season around starting with Friday night and beat the pies if he has to by any means have a chance of keeping his job next season. Whether Malthouse gets the gig at carlton or not I dont know but potential clubs could be North Melbourne if they dont make the finals or Carlton.
Is Malthouse headed north to the Gold Coast?
