I actually think we a bit light on at 12. Serviceable options but not so good I’m not interested in other options.

AC isn’t actually that high on my list of league second rowers of like to see come over to play 12. A few ahead of him on current form

Don’t really agree with your summary or the conclusion you’ve drawn

I don’t see that as accurate myself

Reckon the bash and barge element be had in those clips would have been nurtured in NRL. Moeroa never got near origin or kangaroos so we could set higher expectations for Angus perhaps

Anyone got the story why tm only got a few runs? On what they were paying him surely excited to try and use him more

20 seconds of work for 2 minutes rest seems a good deal

Just because you have to pay attention doesn’t mean you can’t have a breather

I think you’d have to compare the level the league guy came from to decide if there a success.

A lot of rugby folk like to call any concert a failure of they don’t become wealthy greats but the reality is a lot of these guys are club level players who at least achieve comparable club level in rugby.. the yardstick is often a little off

I think though the role of a12 has changed a bit. There almost another loosie now. Sbw, kerevi didn’t have great passing.

Not for bad investments but could be worth a bit of a punt as he wouldn’t be too expensive

Yep. Have to use iketau for that

has history shown that tho? at worst itd be 50% successes wouldnt it?

so get him at 12

first 2 minutes of the highlights is him playing 12 essentially exactly the way he can/should at the wallabies, there much more of the current player on show than when he’s at 13.
the stepping/pace tries involved some pretty ordinary defence and so you wouldn’t want to be using him for that anyway. wont work against better defences, he wont have gotten faster. he will have gotten stronger and more physical though (to account for some similarly bad tackling on those)

For me think is be sticking him at 12 and be the wrecking ball unit other countries have there. Best position for league second rowers

And not being able to enffect the rules

'We have to keep the essence of what rugby is about': All Black legend's worrying words of warning

Rugby desperately needs something like the six again rule.

Perhaps warning first a offence (not foul play) then penalty so penalties every second offence.

Or perhaps shirt arm with no scrum for offence other than foul play.

At the moment the refs have to decide whether to let the game flow or enforce the rules. Need a way to get both

'We have to keep the essence of what rugby is about': All Black legend's worrying words of warning

They run heaps and players stop in the line but they almost never call it. I don’t think fans realise enough how much it’s relied on and don’t make much noise. Suspect that officials are happy enough as it would make it harder to score tries and already too much stoppages and complexity

Obstruction turning a 'simple' game into complicated mess of decoys and defenders milking penalties

Agree on the non subjective being the way to go. I would probably tolerate a small amount by not awarding the penalty if the interfered defender doesn’t make sufficient effort to make the tackle. So fine if they get knocked over but if they fall over after a tap and don’t at least try and get across you don’t get rewarded. The difference should be fairly obvious

Yep a classic try assist

'Hang on': Forgotten Wallaby tipped for big year as Wright reveals 'biggest work-on'

Does far more good than bad over a game. He’s still a rookie at test remember

Should make a lot of posters happy.

At least until they realise they’ll have to find something new to talk about after reds games

It is careless because there is a way for him to have avoided head contact with more care.

I don’t think it’s all the tacklers responsibility. In this case I don’t think there’s much more Walsh could have done to reduce his risk (ducking would increase the risk)

Game’s gone soft, huh? League's tough enough without dangerous incidents getting feather touch from judiciary

Not really across the cnk/ Garrick one so I think one side of my mouth might be getting a raw deal there. Not sure how the may one has crept in here, let done being the main point

Game’s gone soft, huh? League's tough enough without dangerous incidents getting feather touch from judiciary

I can definitely see where you’re coming from but if one of them is jumping, running into that zone makes it very dangerous so they should have to jump or exercise some care when going beneath someone who is

When they make the call that running blindly into the space beneath someone who will be jumping (9 out of 10 ) could reasonably expect what happened
