Isn’t that fundamentally what I’m saying ?

Brisbane are 12th or something and Penrith just got smashed but I still refuse to see any of these sides above get near them in September.

Five and a kick: Manly hates you, but should you love them? And are Ricky's Raiders fun now too?

7 days ago nearly all these sides you highlight were coming off really bad losses.. especially the Raider capitulation and the Manly embarrassment to the Dragons.

And Penrith were a mile in front.

Form is time sensitive more than ever this year.

Five and a kick: Manly hates you, but should you love them? And are Ricky's Raiders fun now too?

Gus was getting bashed up for signing so many depth players early on.
Now look.

I’m not ‘barbing’ him at all, I’m barbing you and 40/20.
The long necked one celebrated the greatest number appearances in the club’s history so it seemed odd that none of the fans here said a word.
The only reason, keeping it real, he remained family is because, well you know why, which split said family in two.
That said I love his game and hope he’s not lost to it on retiring.

Cherry on top: DCE takes down the Panthers with showing for the ages as Cleary bats back knock on chat

Just when you thought time heals all wounds, none of the known Manly fans on the site have said a word about Cherry’s milestone.

No way in the world, but the bunker were confident enough to take all chance off the Roosters in believing it was.

NRL Round 5 judiciary: Young and Radley learn ban fate, Bulldog charged for Suaalii slam, Storm forward warned

There’s a comparison video on X of the Luai hit on Bailey S. alongside Dom Y’s last night, and I can’t see an iota of difference.

Young send-off 'over the top', Radley sin-bin 'ridiculous' says Robbo as Roosters reduced to 11 on nightmare night

What chance does the punter in the stand have of understanding what a hip drop is when clearly the men governing the game don’t either.

Whatever Val got, Young should get..minimum.

It’s part of a fullbacks rite of passage to be knocked out .. paraphrasing Flanno there with slight liberties.

I thought that was a really well played victory from one side who dominated with a better brand of disciplined controlled wet weather football.

And then I looked at the stat sheet and found that the Dragons won 80% of it but still lost 10-30.

Knights not competing with the wind in the first 40′ and taking the tap in their own half for ruck penalties wasn’t surprising considering what we saw last week.

Enari Tuala been solid as a rock this year, no, more than that outside Ponga their best threequarter.
Good on him, and I’m sorry for thinking Tom Jenkins was better.

'He needs to learn it’s a tough game': Flanno fires up at Sloan as Hastings bounces back in Newcastle deluge

There was a 3 point guide released on video to hip drops wherein no. 2 was a rotation or swinging with full weight onto the runner.

Those of the last 2 weeks haven’t included those.

GA is stressing the force of the full weight on the lower legs as the focal indicator.. these days.. it seems.

The Cobbo one ?
Nutsville.

Jordan Riki seems to have upped his value to the side this year.
Playing really consistently hard and much more energetic around being ‘in’ the game.

You touch a player on the ground it’s complete.

18-16 at halftime with Reynolds.
14-18 second half without.. and 2 tries slaughtered.

Certainly a bit fishy, seemed shattered in the dressing room, even in the presser he looked on the verge of breaking down.

Doubt Brisbane will be losing any fans on that gutsy performance tonight.

Thought they were going to get beaten up badly losing their general manager at half time but by leaving 2 tries and hence victory out there, strongly points to them going better than Top 4 deep again this year with the quality of the players sitting in the stands.

Agree, but I’m talking about last week’s halfs both having an inability to kick the ball long similar to that reference made about Walker and his ’30 meter ‘clearance kicks’.. just reefing it hard and chasing to try and save the set… at least some of the time.

No surprise the coach mentioned kicking in explaining the Hastings recall.

Knights already at sixes and sevens again: What exactly was the rush to re-sign O’Brien long term?

It doesn’t help when the Knights are starting their sets inside their own 20 meter, as you should, and their opponents starting from their own 40.

Kicking is awful.

This is Reyno’s 11 th season in the NRL you’d think they’d all have a good idea of what the master is going to do.
Stopping it happening especially with the added protection kickers get, is a different kettle of fish.

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

Pack is up and down, it was good enough to beat the Storm’s starting 6, you could argue they only got close in junk time off the back of Harry carrying them.

Beaten in Golden Time by the Cows.

Frizelle is still a scary beast, the crack when he broke Metcalf’s leg last week and speed humping RTS were demonic.

Scoreboard influencers Marzhew ,Thompson and Gagai didn’t play last week, got beaten by a try
and a penalty goal.

To be frank they’ve always had a low top 8 expectation ceiling but once they get the ‘reps’ into Pryce (coaches are being justifiably patient here) and get him in next to Cogger, the points will come.

Tigers beat them low scoring last year.

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

It’s not that often that your replacement players are among best on field when given the chance but after A. Reynolds, Brisbanes best last week were Sailor, Jensen and Baker.

They’ll be up against virtually the same pack (plus Welch) that couldn’t get over the Knights and were beaten in nearly every stat on the sheet.

Taking things one game at a time, even with an imposing hoodoo at their back, the aforementioned Bronco/ Panther system seems a little too good for them tonight and later in the season once squad depth becomes really tested.

Seems like I’m almost begging to be upper cutted, so be it.
