Thanks Terry, I’m still not sure where I was going with it. Glad you at least liked it!

Week 20 NRL round review

I did give the sacked Coach theory some thought, but it’s the Sharks, if sacked Coaches were used as inspiration, they’d have won the last 6 Comps undefeated! So I ran with the Raiders

Week 20 NRL round review

Your warning was well timed Oikee, I think I speak for plenty of opposing Teams’ fans when I say ‘Uh oh, not again…’

Week 20 NRL round review

Mr McKay, it is 100% my fault that the challenge has degenerated to the point where you are the Tigers to my Rest of the NRL. I take full responsibility….it’s been fun though!

Hope you’re still enjoying the Podcast! Don’t play along and refrain from crushing my dream by telling me you gave up on it weeks ago haha….

Week 18 NRL round review

Cheers Mate, I really appreciate it. You might also enjoy my foray into the World of Podcasting, on the #1 Rugby League Podcast on the Planet, This Week in League. Check it out at www.thisweekinleague.com

Thanks again!

Week 17 NRL round review

Mr McKay!!! They were right….

But much like the Tigers,I have returned triumphantly to rapturous applause (please cue rapturous applause). In all honesty Mate, blogging has taken a bit of a back seat to Podcasting for now,but this is only until such time as I manage my time more efficiently, or grow another four hands, whichever occurs first.

Nice to see you missed me, Oh Wise Old Eagle

Week 17 NRL round review

Thanks Mr McKay, glad you like it. It seems to be taking off somewhat, people are volunteering to listen to my diatribe…Who’d have thunk it?

The NRL round review, Week 9

Yes, yes it has….but it was well worth it! Don’t try and pretend like you didn’t miss me!

The NRL round review, Week 9

Haha, Mate, you aren’t the first person to be mildly outraged by reading anything I dish up before getting a glimpse of what is a pretty obscure sense of humour. Glad it all makes sense now! For the record, your Chooks are looking very formidable, even the much maligned (by me included) Mr Anasta, who seems to be relishing playing in a quality Team once again. Politis and Smith rolling the dice and taking Carney on seems to be working out great…although despite being a Carney fan, there’s a part of me that is still a little uneasy, given his history.

Sportsfan's word on this weekend’s NRL

No doubt some would think so Big Al, and I respect the opinion of anyone who happens to read anything I write. Personally, I’d say making a tongue in cheek comment pales in comparison to trafficking drugs in any mental state, and only pales further in comparison to the damage done at the tail end of said traffic.Convicted drug traffickers are unlikely to get any sympathy from me. I totally respect the fact that it’s 100% your right to disagree with me. Cheers

Sportsfan's word on this weekend’s NRL

Mr McKay Sir….tell me you’ve listened….(don’t let me down…again)…

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

haha…Mr McKay, your desperation is as flattering as it is depressing!

Wests Tigers playing a dangerous game

Oooooh..now I get it,I’m meant to be outlandish, not dish out the factual and researched information featured above? Mr McKay, I never thought I’d say this, but for once, it is I that is concerned over your mental state! It feels nice to have the shoe on the other club-foot for once…doesn’t it?

Sorry to disappoint you Sir…I’ll be sure to get extra outlandish next week….and you might want to have a couple of dollars on yourself tipping a perfect round!

Sportsfan's word on this weekend’s NRL

Alan, I can relate to a Team melting in the heat after the Tigers/Roosters clash a few weeks ago….you must be stoked Todd Carney is coming on so strong, and so quickly!

Sportsfan's word on this weekend’s NRL

Thanks for reading Dan, it may be no surprise to anyone that I try never to let real facts get in the way of a good piss take! For the record, there are some other made up portions to the piece…

Sportsfan's word on this weekend’s NRL

As always Mr Nicolea, the problem is consistency with my Tigers….I’m planning on this week’s game agains the Cowboys to be another statement, much like their performance against an admittedly lacklustre Parramatta. My Boys are on the verge of clicking and doing something special, it’s making me equally anxious and excited!

Wests Tigers playing a dangerous game

Alan, after years of struggling for depth, the Tigers are close to bursting at the seams with quality, especially their backs. Fullback prospects Moltz,Tuqiri,Brown and young Mullaney in the 20’s (who is an awesome talent) aren’t all going to fit into the side, and you still have to fit Tuiaki in as well.Ryan also deserves his spot, especially after Friday night’s performance. Benji is a lock at 6, but for half, while Moltz is seemingly the best option right now, Lui and also Blake Lazarus will be starting halves somewhere in the NRL in the coming years…it may not be at the Tigers though. Not to mention Arana Taumata, who is also a freakish talent…where does he play from? A good problem to have, but at some point some of these players are going to potentially be rubbing the Tigers noses in their good form for other clubs unfortunately….

Bow to Benji's brilliance with the football

Alan….this piece is music to my black and orange ears! It seems Benji will always be tarred with the injury-prone brush, regardless of how long his injury free run may last. He gets the wraps for his flashy brilliance, but his toughness is under rated and rarely mentioned. 5 shoulder reconstructions would have sent almost any player to an early retirement, not to mention he played with needles for a rib issue last night. His performance was brilliant, but as a Team, the Tigers put in one of their most impressive performances in recent memory….making up for last week’s disappointment vs your Chooks.

I’m already itching for next week!

Bow to Benji's brilliance with the football

Mr McKay, hijack away! I am from Campbelltown, so I am not impartial to the odd hijacking, or carjacking as the case may be….

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

PuntPal, I too enjoy a punt as well as a good spirited Tipping Comp, no harm in either. Wouldn’t class myself as a loser, perhaps not surprisingly, for belonging to the odd Tipping Comp.I have also been known to collect a few dollars by punting on the Finnish Bandyliiga Floorball Championship,so I guess you’d have to say I’m no loser at the punt either…Oh, and I never tip against the Tigers, a team rarely seen as 10 point favourites…just sayin

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

Speaking of dominant Mr McKay, and not to use this great forum that is The Roar as a promotional tool (it is however,my only means of communication with your mysterious self)….I would be keen for your thoughts on my latest venture, a podcast, which you can find at www.thisweekinleague.com

Any feedback at all would be cool….Cheers!

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

Funny you should mention that Oik! The Great Oracle otherwise known as one B.McKay has taken up that very challenge vs the irrepressible Round Review….and so far, after two Rounds…The Round Review is quite dominant….Never let the ridiculous content overshadow the fact that this is all based on an exact science….*ahem*

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

Well well well….out from the woodwork he crawls…Mr McKay, I see our battle royale playing out much like this first couple of Rounds all season long….until, much like the Tigers, I come through with superior talent and class.

Good Day to you…My Nemesis….

Picking the winners in this weekend's NRL

I’ll take your smugness Mr McKay, and remind you it is a long long season…

If you feel comfortable putting anything on the Broncos….I don’t know what to say to you, other than you should perhaps seek urgent psychiatric attention. It may come as no surprise to hear that I can refer you to some good shrinks!

The weekend that will be in rugby league

0 for 2 so far Mr McKay…starting to think you might have a point…It’s a long season
