I’d have to disagree, our domestic league has so much to improve on. I haven’t been aware of when any of the finals or new season were starting in the last 2 years, there is no exposure and to be fair the A-league quality is very sub par.

In no way am I comparing the Mariners to Chelsea, but as an established league now for nearly 2 decades shouldn’t we look at more ways to make things more exciting? Relegation & Promotion?

I’d much rather watch City and PSG over Jets vs Wanderers, oil and billionaire money or not, the quality is 30 times better. The A-League crowds average in the last few years as been horrendous and it really shouldn’t be? Soccer is still the most played grass roots sport in the country.

Will Manchester City and PSG’s money eventually kill football?

His wages aren’t too bad, not even 5 million pounds a season. Surely after a successful season you’d consider keeping him especially if he performs well now. Maybe something Rafa doesn’t like off the field?

What would you nail it down to Tony?

The NRL's current injury toll is becoming intolerable

If he’s forced to tears he really cares about his footy. Poor bloke, he’ll come back stronger.

Does anyone actually know why they’re letting Reyno go? Been cloudy for so long and if it’s money well I think he’s proved that he is worth every cent.

On a side note, the Rabbitohs are so exciting to watch. Whenever the left edge gets the ball we’re in for some mesmerising Rugba Leeg.

Surely Mariners are a shout?

Thank you mate.

Melbourne Storm: A well-oiled machine

Thank you.

Melbourne Storm: A well-oiled machine

True, there is a highly skilled and tactical recruitment team behind the scenes, I just named Ponissi as the media’s frontman for the business.

Melbourne Storm: A well-oiled machine

My bad on the stats.

Melbourne Storm: A well-oiled machine

Hammers are a good shout, I rate Leeds this season. Spurs without Kane I’d be inclined to go as low as 10th simply because Son has no one to hit and the magnitude of losing a player of that quality will take a mental toll on the squad.

'Daylight above the rest': Is the Premier League already decided for this season?

Don’t love it as a Sharks fan

'A force to be reckoned with': How are Fitzy's Sharks shaping up for 2022?

Did Moylan take a cut? $300k seems small

'A force to be reckoned with': How are Fitzy's Sharks shaping up for 2022?

Can’t say I’m stoked with Moylan resigning as a Sharks fan myself.

Time will tell.

Thanks for your comment Brad, I think you took this piece a bit more personal than face value. Just an insight into the current position of Wests.
Cheers

Does the Tigers' rebuild start with the players or deep within the club?

Take a note from the Doggies recruitment I reckon!

Does the Tigers' rebuild start with the players or deep within the club?

I appreciate your insight and good points regardless!

Listening to 2 podcasts (Bloke in a Bar & DT Podcast) quoted them saying they had many experts considering them to sit around the 8. I trust sources like Denan Kemp who have an extensive knowledge of Rugby League and his job requires him to do thorough research. Isn’t there about 6 teams each year who ‘could’ make the eight?

Storm recruitment is excellent. Staff like Frank Pennisi are pivotal in big trades and have an extremely high Rugby League business IQ.

I think their is potential for Tigers to cement themselves as finals contenders but may take 2-3 years to do so. Build around Doueihi and Laurie.

Can’t justify dropping that much on Brooks

Agreed. However he is in that position of power where you can’t please everyone. It’s like the PM 😂 you can go and buy a sandwich and someone has a problem with it

The key reasons why league fans are switching the telly off in 2021

👍 good points

The key reasons why league fans are switching the telly off in 2021

The point is, a large sum of games this season has been lopsided. I’d love to watch my team play entertaining football and put 12 tries on another team, but at some point it does become less interesting to watch than games that have the potential of GP around the 70 minute mark.

Without any research I’m more so trying to get my point across, of course I’m still going to sit down with a beer on the weekend and watch Rugby League, but is there some points V’landys can take and approach for a difference in the off-season?
