Worlds Biggest,
I was surprised myself but those matches were apparently not sell outs. Maybe the stats are wrong. It’s surely not that big an issue.
Blue Tongue crowd a sign that NRL should expand
Question wasn’t directed at me, but I just think the game changed and he didn’t. Its the same way Warren Ryan’s coaching tactics dated after being very succesful in one era.
This also highlights Wayne Bennett’s class through his longevitity.
Stuart departs early as the Storm keeps raging
I agree Scott his record from 2005 offers little to be proud of.

All I’ll say it was more of a stroll to the nine tries rather than a romp.

Liz Dawson of the Adelaide Rams was the first female CEO in the football codes.
What sort of CEO as depends on the structure of your backroom staff.
Here is one from left field. Darren Smith? A former player who I’m pretty sure had done the necessary degrees.
Who should be the next Broncos CEO?
My understanding was that wasn’t the actual report but only News Ltd’s interpretation of it.
$3.17 million over is hardly a Storm in a teacup
Precisely True Tah, as I said they aren’t the AFP and we are also unware of how they were advised.

They could certainly show them how a shredder works.

Jay, Its certainly true they have let go of quality players but they still went out and recruited solid first graders, McDougall, Finch etc. rather than promote the young blokes early which is what most clubs ahve to do to stay under the cap. You’ll get no bigger fan of the Storm development than me, but they got greedy.
Where should Melbourne's Big Four play next season?
Rabbitz I think the problem was that they were over the cap not only because of the Big Four but everyone else they kept bringing in. They can keep the Big Four but you can’t then bring in players like Brett Finch, you can’t keep replacing like for like so Dallas Johnson goes and they bring in Todd Lowrie, you can’t have back up for Cameron Smith like Ryan Hinchcliffe. Melbourne’s undoing was that they couldn’t say no to stockpiling players while still paying the stars the big bucks. If you want 4 guns then you have to be prepared to balance that with 5 or 6 rookies.

Courier Mail seem to think it was north of $400K. Where is Antonio heading?
Where should Melbourne's Big Four play next season?
Gents,
Thanks for all your comments, just to clarify this article isn’t so much about whether or not they should leave Melbourne, but rather if they were to then which clubs would go after which players (in my humble).
For what it is worth i believe they will cut hard on the roster and keep the Big Four.
Where should Melbourne's Big Four play next season?
Corey, I believe its dead in the water as the Broncos withdrew their bid after theywere told its wasn’t enough.

“Probably” means he improves on Monday’s showing. What was that about class? Can’t guarantee anything because of the injury factor, but yes, you would expect him to be picked if his form returns to what it was.
I’m covering myself as people always talk about picking blokes on form, which is vital.
Brilliant Maroons sweep the series against hapless Blues
Gasnier is probably in calculations for next year for one of those centre spots.
Brilliant Maroons sweep the series against hapless Blues
I give each week a bonus point when the two are mention in one piece and then each in an individual section.
John Ibrahim looks to be making a late running…did you know he was seen a Roosters game looking relaxed and happy and enjoying a day out in the brillant sunshine?
Brilliant Maroons sweep the series against hapless Blues
As a complete aside, I did have a chuckle last night when I saw that Danny Green had been used as a motivational speaker for the Blues. Can you imagine what was said about that in Camp Mundine? I’m looking forward to Danny Wielder telling me this Sunday as he no doubt talks about how NSW’s greatest ever player was shunned and how it proves NSW needs a complete overhaul. In fact Julia Gillard should be brought in on this one.
Wielder’s column is always a hoot, but I reckon this weekend could be framed as the weekly love letter to Choc takes a whole new turn.

No they did keep seperate books and have admitted as much, but the Government have cleared them of any wrongdoing in that practice and have accepted the practice was not to mislead.

Jeff, in Perth its actually on an hour earlier on Fox. 8.30pm local.
NSW set for more Blues at hands of ruthless Maroons
Oh Jeff, won’t someone think of the “Hey Hey It’s Saturday (on a wednesday)” fans in Perth.
I must admit it does blow me a way that they’ll move heaven and earth to give the game great coverage in NSW and Queensland but need a gun put to their head for anywhere else.
As you would no doubt be aware the Friday night games are held back until Midnight and you have to sit through films which you dare not speak of (no, not those type).
However the same often occurs with the AFL in Sydney which makes me think that perhaps it is much cheaper for the stations to bury this stuff. I’ll admit its is one area I’m not that familiar with so if anyone knows anything I’ll all ears.

Barry,
I didn’t like the way the selectors came out after the last game and said “if someone can do a better job then I’ll step aside”. Both Mccarthy and Daley truied to make out they’d been doing us all a favour by staying on. Spare us the violins please!
NSW set for more Blues at hands of ruthless Maroons
That all sounds very solid Mushi. To be fair I’d want a lot more work done on my criteria before it was used, you’ve already improved it so i daresay we are getting there.

I tend to agree Link, the fact is that Brisbane got “lucky” in the fact that at the same time that they lost a player like Folau a player like Inglis came on the market. Had Folau not gone to AFL Brisbane would never have been in the race.
Will be interesting to see whether the Storm are forced to shed anyone else now the Big Four has been reduced to the Holy Trinity.
