Souths better NOT ONLY rely on Trell to win games and a premiership, as the fall from being joint 1st in R11 to finishing in 9th place in 2023 is not good enough, its not only Trell that should be the makeup of the Souths side or the key between losing and winning, as what they displayed in the last 13 rounds of 2023 was disgraceful and inexcusable, as even the Tigers displayed more of an effort and ticker than Souths. Listening to this interview its the same old Trell and all I can say is, less talk and more action, as that is what all the Souths fans are waiting for in 2024. Go You Bunnies in 2024 NO MATTER WHAT 👍

With my beloved Souths we’ve been both ways, example, 2021 and then a BIG ZERO but then again 1969 to win 1970, 1971, definitely 1969 was a wakeup call 😂

Fact or fable - do you really have to lose a grand final to win one?

You just make things up, as I never said “that I had given up on league and wasn’t going to watch it anymore” where did you get that from? It just proves that you make things up, you clown!

‘We took ‘trust the process’ to the absolute extreme’: How incredible Penrith comeback looked from on the field

Yes fully agree, losing Crighton is a big one don’t know about Leniu but the Panthers have the cattle so I’m sure that Ivan and the staff will get things patched up not like the Bunnies where nothing is going on and I’m very worried what will happen in 2024 as it’s a big test of them beating either the Panthers or Broncos if they don’t have a go and polish their act up and have a go for a complete season.

😂 oh here we go, what happened to the Chooks in week 2 2023??? Old NickP is going to fixed all that next year, as the Chooks have gone all out AGAIN to buy the 2024 premiership, like usual. Whatever the Chooks win they will still not come anywhere near the Bunnies, remember that you clown!

‘We took ‘trust the process’ to the absolute extreme’: How incredible Penrith comeback looked from on the field

Fully agree Panthers, the Broncs just thought that at 24-8 they were home and hosed and 2023 premiers, which you can’t do with the Panthers. That Reece Walsh might be getting plenty of wraps but by gee he’s a terrible defender, as he should look at himself seriously as his defence allowed 2 tries that a good FB would have stopped. The thing with the Panthers (and to a certain extent the Bunnies up to R11) the Bunnies never gave up and did the same to the Panthers with 5min to go in R8 20-18 win, the Panthers never give up and if you don’t have a commanding and unsalable lead, then they will come back to bite you. Just like in last nits GF.

Players like Cleary and Crichton To’o continually get them out of trouble every time, they have great attacking firepower, great kicking and goal kicking and great forwards, its just a well-oiled machine and no side can let off like the Broncs did when they were 24-8, as I know the feeling with the Bunnies in the 2021 GF loss of 14-12 which wasent the same but it was a loss. Lest see what happens in 2024 with the Panthers v Broncs as the Broncs are a great side and they will improve but the Panthers, it’s a question mark and is 2023 GF win their last hurrah?

All you Warriors fans don’t get too excited as last week you had everything in your favour, like venu mad screeming fans andyou played a shocked Knights side, now it will be the reverse with the Broncos at Suncorp, let’s see how you go and what the final score is?

Semi-final Talking Points: Anxiety high for prelims, Warriors surging, Storm need Hughes for Panthers mission

That will be Chook Nick”s next task in 2024 to buy out Klein. Its on the cards for next year, as once the Chooks start to do well that is what they do , 2019 GF is just a slight exsample of whats going to happen. 😂

Klein should be declined chance to referee Grand Final again after blatant clangers in Storm-Roosters cliffhanger

NM, I’ve been pointing these things out for nearly 10 years on this forum and they call me a winger, especially the Chooks fans and I go back to the 2019 GF when they got gifted that game 😂 all I will say is “I told you so” and all you Chook fans its about time, as it won’t stop with this game, there are plenty more games that will be worse.

You are right “Criag”, I’m NOT wrapping the Bunnies at all, I’m their biggest critic, and the way they finished and played from R12 is absolutely shameful and not what a professional side does, but lets put things into perspective here, as you must have a short (don’t know if you are a Chook supporter or just making out that you are not? :laughing, as that is what the Chooks supporters do when they don’t win, they hide in their coups!

Even in 2019 (when the Chooks won the GF) Souths beat them twice in the games during the season and they beat us in Week 1 and ver since 2019 we have beaten them 7 to 5 and thrashed them in 2020 60-8,and in 2021 54-12, which they have never ever done to Souths, and last year we knocked them out in Week 1 of the play offs, yes they knocked us out this year but we knew that Souths collapsed way before from R12 and wouldn’t make the 8. Next year is a new year and don’t write the Bunnies out, that is all I will say now 😂 .

Shots fired as Storm want the last laugh over old mate Brandon Smith after 'putrid' sledge

Come on HFC, Jack was being chocked all the way, I disagree as I haven’t seen that sort of a forearm in someone’s gob “Hundreds of tackles exactly like that happen every single game” that’s a bit of an exaggeration, if that happened then there would be chunks missing out of players arms like we cauliflower ears in the RARA game 😂 that sort of a tackle happens very rarely (I can’t remember the last one I’ve seen) as it was a fair dinkum choke and smother tackle, show me another tackle like that in that game?

The bottom line here is this that Gamble did that intentionally and went in hard and didn’t care if he committed a choking tackle or an offence, he was lucky and fooled everyone and really turned the game around, as Gamble surely knew that he had his forearm in Jack gob and he was pushing the envelope, how can you not feel that your forearm is not in someone’s mouth.

Wighton should have been hit for six over Knight bite - and given an extra match for arrogant sledge at heated hearing

Nothing new from the boofs of the judiciary, I called it before on another post, as the judiciary look at the charge and that generates their agenda at all costs, especially with the shock horror “BITE CHARGE” never mind what happened as they must punish the charge. I do agree with “Ferret” comment below “why on earth do we have lawyers at a sports tribunal” as having lawyers and their known reputations, doesn’t make these tribunals credible at all, as no wonder we get the decisions that we get and they are so controversial. Ok the dreaded BITE maybe Jack at worst should have gotten 1 week, but what about Gamble? Who imo should have been penalised for a head high, forceful pressure and twisting of the neck/head and intentional chocking, as Jack was pinned down, had the ball in one hand, was tackled around both legs with both legs pinned.

How can they ask Jack why didn’t he make an effort to prop himself up on his elbows or his free arm to get up and out of this situation, which is absolutely ludicrous and nonsensical, and proves what a JOKE these tribunals are like, as I’m sure that their main goal was to make Jack’s “BITE” accusation an example and they were never ever going to let this go without the punishable time, as it just proves that if they thought that it was a fair dinkum bite they would have given Jack a 6 week suspension. Never mind, 3 weeks isn’t that bad, but let’s see what these boofs at the judiciary will do when there is a fair dinkum bite?

Wighton should have been hit for six over Knight bite - and given an extra match for arrogant sledge at heated hearing

Yes, they have done well with having lots of the good old big AXX luck as Souths collapsed and capitulated 😡 as the Cows and the Eels also did the same to help the Chooks get into the 8, its got nothing to do with their skill, as even as late as R23 they never looked like making the 8. Your Chooks were at best on 11th spot and went down as bad as 14th spot with -100 points difference, anyway good luck as it won’t happen again in 2024 😂

Shots fired as Storm want the last laugh over old mate Brandon Smith after 'putrid' sledge

I’m with Cameron Munster’s comment on this, and I’ll also bite my tongue till Friday night when the Storm will thrash the Chooks, as Smith is a clown and fits right into that Chook culture. One word of advice for the Cheese ““Don’t have a go at others what you don’t want done unto you” which will happen on Friday night and you will be Swiss cheese. Even in boxing 3rd time down and you’re out, as the knockout punch and thrashing is on the cards. 😂 👍

Geoff leave Souths out of any equation or as a gauge of any sort after R11 in the 2023 season, the 2023 comp was always close for teams to make the 8th and 7th positions and the Raiders were always there abouts, until the sides like the Knights took the initiative like the Roosters did, and propelled themselves into the 8 when Souths started wetting their nappies and totally lost the plot, the Eels slump also had allot to do with the final 8 too. As Manly and the Fins and Titans were also in contention but didn’t make the cut. The Raiders imo did really well and also were unlucky to lose against the Knights, they did well overall and all you Raiders fans should be happy with what they achieved in 2023. Wish I could say that about Souths 😡

Sticky question: Has Ricky Stuart taken the Raiders as far as he can?

GB, the NRL judiciary and politics go hand in hand, so it doesn’t surprise me what excuses they use or will use, as they continually put their foot in their mouths and nothing will surprise me with what they will come up with here?

NRL Finals Talking Points: Hard to send a player off for biting, Knights on a roll but Panthers vs Broncos GF looks inevitable

Thats what I thought GB, as Gambles action was excessive and dangerous, twisting Jack neck backwards while his arm is dead set blocking his mouth and suffocating him and his legs are pinned by another Knights player, imo everyone reacts differently, but if you can’t breathe and pressure is applied to your neck and mouth and you can’t breathe what would you do as a defensive measure, I know what I would do and that is bite and try to get out of that situation, as Jack couldn’t move and he was in pain, you could see all that happening. But the boofs at the judiciary will have a completely different take on all this as we’ve already seen from the famous BUNKER in 2023.

ANALYSIS: Gamble blows up over Wighton biting allegation as Ponga propels Knights past Raiders in extra-time thriller

Spot on GB, especially with JWH who was put on report 3 times in a game. Gamble had no regard for Jacks head or mouth, he was going all out to twist Jack backwards while his legs were pinned down, what was Jack supposed to do with Gambles ram in his gob? But then again the judiciary will give Jack at least 2 weeks and could be longer, lets see what them clown do???

ANALYSIS: Gamble blows up over Wighton biting allegation as Ponga propels Knights past Raiders in extra-time thriller

Ok Nat let’s see when the Bronx play the Panthers in the GF, as its 100% that they will, can’t see the teams that are left getting to the GF. But if that happens it should be equal unless the #1 Panther Grant Atkins referees or is in the bunker 😂 ,

NRL Finals Talking Points: Hard to send a player off for biting, Knights on a roll but Panthers vs Broncos GF looks inevitable

Jack was being chocked and twisted in the same motion, and was put into a dangerous situation, everyone reacts differently and I think that Jack panicked and his defensive mechanisms kicks in, but of course the judiciary will go the soft way and ay that Jack did it intentionally and should have let Gamble chock him and they will suspend Jack, hope that doesn’t happen as that action by Gamble is very dangerous and could have caused a serious injury. Lets see what happens, as Jack won’t be starting R1 in 2024 for the Bunnies the way the judiciary decisions have been going.

NRL Finals Talking Points: Hard to send a player off for biting, Knights on a roll but Panthers vs Broncos GF looks inevitable

It doesn’t matter GB about teeth marks,,as Jack had a moth guard, but Gamble was forcing his arm into Jacks face and mouth while twisting him aroun, what was Jack to do when he is being chocked? Jack also said to bugerlugs Klein, the he was being chocked! You can see it clearly that Jack had his legs held and Gamble had his arm around his head/mouth and at the same time twisting his body around while chocking him, that should have been a penalty to the Raiders. Nothing new from Gamble, he use to do the same at the Bronx. Hope Jack doesn’t get suspended for that.

NRL Finals Talking Points: Hard to send a player off for biting, Knights on a roll but Panthers vs Broncos GF looks inevitable

Yes fully agree DP, you could see clearly that Gamble was forcing his arm into Jacks face and mouth and chocking him really hard, and Jack was trying to get Gamble to let go, how is Jack going to get out of that predicament, when his legs were held, and his mouth is being blocked? Klein wasn’t doing anything or even looking at what Gamble arm was doing, that could have ended pretty bad.

NRL Finals Talking Points: Hard to send a player off for biting, Knights on a roll but Panthers vs Broncos GF looks inevitable

GB its part of the course when the Panthers and Bronx do it and everything goes their way, they rely on it. They always have a go at us having a go at the refs and bunker, when the referees have a huge impact on the game, the Broncs had every decision go their way in that 1st half, which is huge in a game like that.
