“The Rabbitohs went within a whisker of stealing the premiership from Penrith, but Souths’ fans shouldn’t expect their side to get back there in 2022” that’s what everyone said his time in 2020, the Bunnies will be stronger better and will go all the way 👍

NRL season review and crystal ball Part 4: Manly, Souths, Panthers and Storm

Nathan Ryan, the Bunnies were a top side before Madge, Seibs and/or Bennett came along, we always had the talent, roster like we’ve always had throughout our history and even when our club started deteriorating in the 90’s to 2000 with the salary cap that restricted our potential in harnessing all our junior talent. If you look at all the Souths juniors list of layers that didn’t play for us and contributed to other clubs success the list is enormous. Anyway, the 2022 roster won’t have Reynolds, Bennett and a few others but we still have the backbone to create what we’ve always created and that is a top side especially with Bennett’s many year offsider Jason Demetriou who has more of an idea then what went on at the Dragons and/or the Knights, totally different situations as the Bunnies are well managed (as Bennett said) and have been so for the last 10 to 15 years.

Predicting anything now is premature just like most predicted that Souths won’t be in the 2021 GF as they had no chance as it will be a certainty that it will be a Storm v Panthers GF. Also, let’s not give Reynolds too much of a wrap as he had some very ordinary patches from 2015 to 2020 and has only come good lately as an overall player, this is not in his general kicking or goal kicking but his full form as he did some very ordinary things there fora few years. Also and don’t forget, that we were only 2 points short in this GF and that (I’m not blaming him at all) due to Reynolds missing that conversion, which fair enough we can blame it on a groin injury but and if Trell was there he could have taken a shot or even Taaffe should have taken it but, for a player like Reynolds and with his kicking skills and especially his accuracy kicking skills, he should have gotten that easily! Also and in addition, ok and yes as I’m not making excuses with Mitchell not playing but, if he was then things might have been completely different or not as we would have had more of a chance of coming short by 2 points and winning this GF. All I can say is “Don’t Write Us Off” as the Bunnies have won 1 GF in the last 11 years and the last time we missed out on a GF in 1969 we got right back into it and won in 1970 and 1971 until the poaching started and then eventually the salary cap ruined us.

Premiership window over? Harsh reality facing Souths as they deal with life after Bennett and Reynolds

IMO Sterlo was one of the great player and an outstanding halfback in his day and that is for oone of the great Parra sides of all time. I’ve always enjoyed seeing his skills while there were may outstanding halfs in the game in his days of playing RL from 1978–92. Its sad to see Sterlo retire from his commentary at Ch9 as his commentary was always in depth and to the point and had meanings, which will leave a big gap on the same channel 😂 as we need more Sterlos thats for sure! Wish you all the best Sterlo in whatever you do and hopefully you will remain a part of the NRL for a long time. 👍

A tribute to league commentary legend Peter Sterling

Great article MM but your best is “But that’s poor judgement and those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat that judgement” which should be drummed into 99.99% of all politicians brains and judgements! Go Bunnies 👍

Why history and form will see Souths beat Penrith despite the odds

Albo, we have the last win the rest and your stats are history! The boys will put it fully on this time “that’s the Bunnies tradition and spirit” that’s been with us since 1908! If you want stats we’ve only lost 1 GF in 54 years 😂 Go Bunnies Glory Glory 👍

Why history and form will see Souths beat Penrith despite the odds

Just to put my two bobs worth as SK I don’t agree with your logic, as we are not talking about cannabis here which is proven to be a conduit to many of these stronger drugs. Yes, we’ve all been young and stupid and have gone through these fazes of alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and lsd etc etc which was around in my days but and in most cases 95% of users overcome these periods that are mostly due to peer pressure foolish periods that affect mostly these young people’s lives when they consume these drugs, as some don’t and keep going on and become addicts and that is who we are and should protect at all costs!

We are not just talking about cannabis we are talking about some of the most poisonous concocted drugs on this planet as cocaine (yes it’s an organic derived drug but the powder is mixed with many poisonous chemicals) but and especially ice which is a drug of an entire mixtures of many highly poisonous and dangerous chemicals that cause allot of damage to the human mind and body! SK don’t give us this “Placing the “victims” foremost to take the high moral ground whilst offering no real solutions” what allot of nonsense and what a copout! As there are plenty of solutions and people that are out there to help! The only ‘cop out’ is from people like ‘the victims” and people you that always give us the same old same old excuses, which is not true as the Australian Federal Police are the leaders on “The War on Drugs” and have stifled many many tons of these dangerous drugs from being imported into Australia and being concocted by Bike gangs and criminal around the world!

'Extremely disappointing': Cameron Smith's stunned reaction to Storm's 'white powder' trio

TB, these guys were that out of it that they probably didn’t have a clue and/or know that an outsider was filming them, have a look at Munster and his clownish dancing and even looking into the camera and completely being oblivious to anything or the camera! Just putting things together and if this is has gone on before? Its no wonder that Munster’s form has dropped so considerably in the latter part of this year as has Brandon Smith’s and the Storm ended up where they did! These are not good signs for anybody if they get on that stuff and/or its even a part of their lives in any shape or form!

'Extremely disappointing': Cameron Smith's stunned reaction to Storm's 'white powder' trio

The bottom line here is that the Melbourne Storm officials have only themselves to blame Cameron Smith as they thought that no one knew just like you didn’t know Cameron Smith and that they could brush this thing under the carpet! This is how disrespectful they all are especially towards this prestigious award called the “Daly M awards” never mind the game, as letting these buggerlugs attend the Daly M`s is downright just as bad as what these fools did, well close to it! The fine that the NRL will give them is also laughable as they should be made an example of including that fool Reece Walsh. IMO these guys have too much money and are not just happy with getting on the drink they have to get onto the hard stuff also which is very dangerous especially what these drugs are made from e.g. that poisonous chemical cocktail called Ice and also Cocaine which is also concocted with very dangerous chemicals as that powder in front of Smith certainly didn’t look like icing sugar that he was going to put on top of his apple pie thats for sure!

'Extremely disappointing': Cameron Smith's stunned reaction to Storm's 'white powder' trio

The Pink Panthers are like Inspector Clouseau and most definitely they won’t be promoted as “Chief Inspector” 😂 keep them coming as no matter what youse do it won’t work! Go You Bunnies!!!

'Hit with a feather': NRL's soft fine for Panthers' Langer-esque trainer tactics slammed

GB you don’t have to be a clairvoyant to have predicted those predictions mate 😂 as far as the tipping comp is concerned, it means nothing (btw I’m running 100% oh 100th 😂 ) if you are only half pie and forget to put in selections week by week. Mate, I have a 100% feeling that the Bunnies will win no matter what and/or any excuse(s) predictions stats that are made. The Cardinal Red and Meryl Greens have a great record in GF’s in the last 54 years except for that only one in 1969 (where we were odds on favourites) but and it won’t be like that this year as we will win. Go Bunnies You Are Certainties!!! 👍 btw, 1 point will do 😂

The 50-point hoodoo is bollocks – the Rabbitohs are a red hot chance

Keep dreaming TS as its amazing what some people will say and predict, see yah at 9pm Sunday and please will you apologise as WE WILL WIN 😂

The 50-point hoodoo is bollocks – the Rabbitohs are a red hot chance

There is always a certainty for the first time “that a 71 year old coach will do it” like we will do it Duncan! All these stats mean nothing and all you Panthers fans will find out at 9:00pm on Sunday, so save your tissues and tiers, as there will be plenty going around from all of you. Go You Bunnies!

The 50-point hoodoo is bollocks – the Rabbitohs are a red hot chance

Great stats as usual TG but and as you’ve said which I don’t agree with “What should be concerning for South Sydney is that recent loss to the Panthers, as well as the far-west Sydney club having history on their side” means nothing, the Bunnies have THE proven coach and THE proven players that have been through big games and GF’s but they MUST play for 80 min as they have proven that they can beat the Panthers in big games. Also, the Bunnies are a much better side than last year’s Finals Week 3 game against this mob (when Trell didn’t play and Graham didn’t play) and the Panthers beat us 20-16 but, this side is very much the same (hence the experience) also with the additions of Arrow, Benji and of course Nicolls, Koloamatangi who are in top form that will get us over the line!

But and further let me go to that R23 comp game, which is what we don’t want to see in this GF! The Panthers had an 11 to 2 penalty advantage in that game (which is huge) the score was 12 all at half time and it was only in the 65th minute that the Panthers took the lead and of course that was after that crucial ‘out of the blue ruling’ that Klein came up with ‘in the bunker’ that broke the ‘camel’s back’, when the Bunnies were on top and attacking and looked like turning the game around. Anyway no excuses as all in all the Bunnies have to play for 80 min and play their hearts and lungs out to the last and 79.99 minutes to win, which all these boys will do as that is the South Sydney’s Cardinal Red and Myrtle Green SPIRIT and TRADITION which will not only be an advantage but it will get these boys over the line, we are in this to WIN and nothing less will suffice or do!!! 👍 GO YOU BEAUTIFUL BUNNIES WINNERS OF THE 2021 GF 👍 and hopefully Tim Gore this game will not end like your poor Raiders GF (which they never got over) in 2019 against the Roughters ohhh sorry Roosters 14-8 when they should have won and ref Cummins absolutely killed that game and was a shockers!

The 50-point hoodoo is bollocks – the Rabbitohs are a red hot chance

😂 this is how it is today, when 4 new cases in a population of 2.5 million is a worry? Annastacia Palaszczuk should shut the city down immediately and refuse the NRL GF to be held, better still, the whole of Qld! This is absolutely scandalous when 0.00016% of a city gets a virus (which is similar to the nonsense of carbon emissions of Australia climate change) get this virus and they want to close the city down?

Townsville on standby for NRL grand final as four new COVID cases rock Brisbane

No, he didn’t say it like that at all and I don’t think that that was his intentions! He made it very clear that the GF is his main focus and his biggest game of his career but and when these reporters pressed him on “his retirement” he said categorically that he is fit, he is mentally fit and willing to play on and he is not thinking about his age. IMO the Bunnies should sign him, especially when Reno is leaving and he would be a great asset for anyone that is at No 7 next year playing along side him and getting advice from his vast experience in that position, as Cody has to be at No 6 in 2022.

2021 NRL grand final: The ultimate preview

This should be very worrying as this Storm Dust is affecting the Storms top players getting on the dust! It has to start at the top and these players have to be warned and fined heavily by the club! The NRL if they are fair dinkum? Have to stamp this out of the NRL completely and they have to use this as a major benchmark against drugs, not the benchmark that they showed with Pearce as this is 100% more serious especially for our kids! As 2 weeks to 4 weeks is a joke of a punishment when Pearce got 10 weeks and a 100K fine! And that its “only a recreational drug” nonsense and they are young kids with money blah blah blah is just not good enough as illegal drugs should not be acceptable in the NRL in any shape or form as this has to be used as a warning and the biggest example that the NRL can dish out “Get fair dinkum all you at the NRL”!

'The players involved have fully cooperated': Storm trio meet with NRL Integrity Unit

No, Benji said in a recent interview that if there is a contract and anybody wants him he’s prepared to play on in 2022, he feels good and wants to play. Hope the Bunnies sign him next year, as he’s a great asset to have especially in big games and as he’s shown all year but will be in this GF!

Whatever Nat as you are getting heavy mate! Just keep to this…”I’m usually a legend? Nice of you to say so steveng, I do my best”…especially “do your best” then I’m out of this with you as you must have something personal against Taza and it ain’t pleasant and/or good! Cheer up Nat 😂

Nat you proverbial 😂 “Legend and Guru” listen here, we all knew about Taza what’s the big deal in him coming out and telling it like it is? I’ve given wraps to certain Souths players but NOT all. Taza’s story is not very well known only by his close friends not by many Bunnies fans (as he’s said in that interview) so, what’s wrong in giving him his dues and giving him a wrap? But and as usual its always the negativities that come out e.g. like TB is giving us as I’m sure that there are lots more out there which is ridiculous me thinks.

Stuck in neutral: Reasons to support – or boo – the Panthers and Souths in the NRL grand final

Those are just minor details TB 😂 he is down there at the Flemo Markets mate, its all part of the course down there 😂 what do you think goes on at as a Dockies or anywhere else?

Stuck in neutral: Reasons to support – or boo – the Panthers and Souths in the NRL grand final

😂 yes “Legend” proverbially speaking and as you said “You’re in trouble when you’re leaning on “Nat” for credibility 😂 😊 Watch the interview first (as it seems that you haven’t) and then comment mate! Don’t just go by whatever is bandied around, as Taza right from the start of this interview said “that his footy show day are over” and in those days it was entertainment and a show, as he has distanced himself from those days for a long time! I don’t know what and where you get “You’re in trouble when you’re leaning on Terry Hill for credibility” as he tells it like it is and from his heart, about all his junior days and career at Souths and what happened and who he grew up with and what happened pre and post 1990 when he and many others were forced to leave South Sydney and that he especially only wanted to play forever for Souths!
