Fully agree with all that Phil Gould is saying, Trell is at a point where he either has a go or gets going! His game-to-game effort(s) are nowhere near what a FB should and is way off what a talented and participating team member should be. Whatever Trell decides to do is up to him, as he’s not doing Souths any favours playing like he is but especially getting either suspended or injured each year for weeks that results in Souths losing games and/or losing a GF or making the 8. Hope Trell does decide to change things around as the way things are in 2024 and up to R5 and onwards, Latrell Mitchell can’t survive at Souths unless he has a compete change of attitude and effort, its up to you Trell.

NRL News: Wighton says 'sorry' Latrell has burning desire after Gus raises retirement call, Annesley refutes hip-drop critics

RIP Mr K. Barnes, a really nice guy and a gentleman and an unbelievable goal kicker and point scorer for the Tigers, a real credit to RL, very sad to hear his passing.

NRL News: Tribute pour in as Tigers and legend Keith 'Golden Boots' Barnes dies at 89

Madge can’t coach the Bunnies as he is the NSW SOO coach and you can’t be both, I would get S. Burgess as he imo could be the answer as an X player to get the discipline and the ruthlessness needed to not only get Trell and Cody off their a**es but get some good forwards and maybe add a few poms from the super league to Souths roster! I think that S. Burgess would be a very effective coach, especially that before he left Souths were one of the best side in the NRL and he was all a part of that excellence and when he left it all just crumbled.

Demetriou facing sack after Souths' disastrous start with Bennett, Bellamy, Burgess possible replacement options

Yes you are correct, as that is why SamB blew up and said the same, that in his opinion JD and the Souths officials are contributing to LMs attitude, imo LM has to be given an ultimatum as no player is bigger than the club.

Latrell cops lengthy ban for high elbow hit on Johnson as Souths coach laments 'stupid' acts

Well, JD better stop being a conservationist as we at the Bunnies won’t put up with it any longer, as eventually and if JD keeps protecting LM, he will lose his job!

Latrell cops lengthy ban for high elbow hit on Johnson as Souths coach laments 'stupid' acts

Just an observation about Mr Bennett for many years 😂, its about time that Wayne has a bit of personality shown in his facial expressions and he started looking a bit happier after a WIN, for gods sake he is 74 years old (I’m 75 and I’m happy as Larry even after Souths performances 😂 ) as Wayne is like this always, his sour face gives out an atmosphere that the pressers are a funeral for the Phins and its getting pretty ordinary imo.

Phins up but three stars down for the count in casualty ward as Bennett ponders cost of bruising Tigers win

😂 YES 😂 the Broncos maybe even Reyno could come good at Souths AGAIN, as we need a halfback desperately (are you listening Blake Solly you boof) as this side can’t do anything without a good half and/or the forwards that we have in the roster as Murray and Burgess are the only goers.

Latrell cops lengthy ban for high elbow hit on Johnson as Souths coach laments 'stupid' acts

At least this LM saga is all done with now so let’s move on, it happens every year and its been “part of the course” for the last 3 years with Trell, so this aint nothing new. Souths need a complete roster rearrangement now as we’ve had enough of seeing these duds go around week in and week out since R13 2023 and failing! Can’t hurt, as if it works out, even leaving LM off and in NSW cup will be a good thing, I don’t think that will happen with JD, as he is not too keen on giving any of the NSW cup players a go. Unless this squad is kicked right up the you know where, Souths are doomed to failure and will fail.

Well analysed SSTID, let’s see what pans out as it will be interesting see what they do. As so far things have been stuffed up big time especially with Reynolds that started all this and what Sam Burgess said should have been a waring of what’s to come and it panned out exactly like Sam predicted.

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

Yes they were on top of the ladder up to R11 2023 and then from R12-2nd they fell off miserably to be in R27-9th and out of the 8. I agree that the talent exists at Souths but there is NO ONE there to refire that talent and/or make changes which this side needs. Souths are beyond picking players on their reputations and past form, they need to pick a side on current form and like from their NSW Cup players, that Souths have been wrapping so much over the years.

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

Fully agree with you SSTID as Souths look rudderless, lethargic and just going through the motions right across the park, and nothing like they did in R11 last year before their collapse. South’s have to restructure this side to not rely on two players for their success like CW who is either past his best, or LM who is not having a go and can’t do it on his own. Campbell Graham imo is a big out that has affected Souths attacking prowess out wide and in scoring allot of the tries that they did last year.

There is no way that South’s can make a comeback unless there are big changes made, players, coaching staff and coach, that al need an urgent review. Souths haven’t got a good halfback which was very apparent in the Warriors game when you look at the differences between S. Johnson and Hawkins and we are stuck with this for many more rounds to come, Hawkins brings nothing to Souths, at least Ilias tackled well and had a few tricks in his game but Hawkins has nothing and that is why this Souths side is going backwards and they look like a WS side imo. Hope I’m wrong but I’m past expecting miracles form this roster!

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

We at Souths are use to “what goes around comes around” and we always laugh at our own jokes 😂 its what keeps life going around, can’t take things too seriously especially the NRL comp!

Young send-off 'over the top', Radley sin-bin 'ridiculous' says Robbo as Roosters reduced to 11 on nightmare night

Better still GB, get Sam Burgess to get a few of his Englishmen players to play for Souths as this roster aint looking too crash hot at Souths for the future.

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

Those two incidents were not as bad as they sound for Trell, the elbow was a sort of a pinky fend and not forceful, while the lift was also the same but still should not have been attempted by Trell as it didn’t achieve anything. Souths have become a real lazy and an awful side to watch, they are absolutely uncompetitive, they seem lethargic and disinterested in paying the game, they drop heaps of ball, they throw silly forward passes and they are doing everything they can to give the game away to the opposition. If there are no drastic changes, then Souths are contenders for the 2024 NRL spoon.

'I don't know what goes through Latrell's mind': Mitchell on report twice as Wahs dominate sorry Souths

😂 you expect a Souths supporter to congratulate a Chooks side, come off it, I was having the time of my life in the 1st half bagging them 👍 ! Also, that wasn’t a brave anything by the Chooks, the Dogs allowed them to come back and had no balls to do anything and were just absolute shockers in the 2nd half and allowed some very ordinary tries in by the Chooks and even allowing the Chooks to be a chance of winning this game, is absolutely unacceptable! Ciraldo imo also needs a wakeup call or something from Gould 😂 as there mustn’t be any strict discipline at the Dogs, if their performance differences between the two halves is so great as its not the first time that this has happened in Ciraldo’s time and with the Dogs 😂 .

Young send-off 'over the top', Radley sin-bin 'ridiculous' says Robbo as Roosters reduced to 11 on nightmare night

Great 1st half by the Dogs, but I knew that there was a surprise coming in the 2nd half, as the Dogs looked too good and it was far too easy for them to get to 26-0 😂 but they hung on so a great effort by the Dogs as a win is a win.

Of course we knew what “Robbo’s presser(s) winge will be” and he didn’t disappoint! So now you all know why the Souths fans are like they are against the Chooks, and we LOVE TO BEAT THEM AND SEE THEM BEAT 👍 😂 👍 as no matter how or why Robbo always will come up with an excuse.

That head high by Young on Taaffe was an 100% send off and should be 4 weeks suspension, it was dangerous, intentionally high and you could see the impact of the force onto Taaffe’s jaw/head that completely knocked him out, and on top of all that, Taaffe fell onto his neck that was bent and he was unconscious, which looked very dangerous there for a while and could have had some very ugly consequences, as NO one did anything to straighten him out ? If Young doesn’t get 4 weeks for that the NRL judiciary are kidding themselves.

Young send-off 'over the top', Radley sin-bin 'ridiculous' says Robbo as Roosters reduced to 11 on nightmare night

Accor stadium is the worse stadium ever for a club like Souths and as a home ground, it makes us look bad as fans when the stadium always looks empty even with 15 to 30k attendances. How good was it to see 15k at Leichhardt Oval when the Tigers played the Sharks, or to see the Dogs at Belmore when they played the Titans, as that is how it should be and it was at Redfearn oval for us Souths fans, also and since moving out to Homebush, its been a shocker and it really doesn’t feel like our home ground. Souths have nothing within the vicinity of their core base fans and only have that monstrosity out at Homebush, which is about 30 km from my place and Redfern oval is only 8km, I say no more 😂 !

That was a long time ago Nat, as I don’t think that the 2023 Storm side is the same as this year’s side is, especially what highs that the Storm side has achieved and have beaten the Panthers so convincingly, while the Broncs were convincingly beaten by the Panthers, lets see how tonight’s game goes.

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

This is a very interesting round, imo the Bunnies will rise above the pack to set themselves up for the games ahead, where we have the Warriors (easy-peasy all yah Kiwis, suck it) Sharks, BYE and then to be ready for the Storm, Panthers 😂 👍
Here are my tips for round 5:
Storm by 8
Roosters by 28
Dragons by 4 with lots of heart attacks for the Dragons fans 😂
Bunnies like last year in Auckland >>> 28-6 😂 👍
Panthers easy-peasy by 18+
Tigers by 12+
Cowboys easy 24
Eels by 12+

The Roar's NRL expert tips and predictions, Round 5: Tigers on the hunt for hat-trick, Souths face tough test, Storm rising

I think Bellachy has A. Reynolds worked out and the Storm won’t allow Reynolds the kicking scope and/or latitude that he got against the Cowboys where Drinkwater and Feldt were shockers under the high ball and contributed largely to why the Cowboys lost. Paps, Meaney and Coates are pretty good under the bombs and the same won’t happen. Reynolds was just lucky as there was hardly any pressure put on him and his kicks on the 5th and got an advantage in the wet as the Cowboys couldn’t handle the conditions, let’s see what happens as the same won’t happen tonight with the Storm. My tip Storm by 8.

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

😂 6 foot and 16 inches tall!??? that is 7 foot 4 inches in imperial measurement. 😂

Storm warning: We’re sleeping on Melbourne again – they might be the biggest threat to the Panthers

Fafita has been a dud and will continue to be a dud until he grows a set of Bs, he has done nothing at the Titans and every year he goes backwards.

Dragons finally letting Lomax leave - and his exit might start a feeding frenzy across the NRL

Zac Lomax should know the phrase of “one in the hand is better than two in the bush” as 800k at the Dragons will be about his top pay anywhere else in the NRL, as top odds at centre he is not worth more than 550K compared to the top centers in the NRL, as he surely aint in that class.

Dragons finally letting Lomax leave - and his exit might start a feeding frenzy across the NRL

Well two that come to mind is Roberts and the Foxx, then players that played with Souths add Koroisau there is more if anyone can add to the list 😂

NRL Round 4 Talking Points: A month is done - let’s make some hard calls

Geoff I know that Jordan Rapana is a Raiders legend and all you fans put him in cotton wool etc etc but last night he was dreadful and imo didn’t do anything even when he came into the backline, he was very hesitant under the bomb, let bombs bounce and knocked on a few occasions and the Sharks realized that and were continually kicking to him on the 5th and pinning the Raiders in their 20m, which an experienced FB should catch at least and not hesitate under any circumstances, but in saying that Kennedy did the same at the other end and was just as bad as Jordan was. I was flabbergasted (btw I tipped the Raiders) how in a span of 10min they went from 18-0 to 18-18 and tollway collapsed from the 27th min and never ever regained the initiative or scored a point until the 71st min while the Sharks had the game won, that is not a sign of a side that is doing well even if they won their first two games against pretty average sides. Good luck mate but don’t forget to have your Defibrillator close by for the up and coming games for the Raiders 😂
