OK AK, if there is no community and it is diverse and disparate. Where do you suppose these ideas come from, sites that are trying to discredit that non-community that everyone refers to as LGBT etc etc.?
That is a leap too far and I will have a look for the article I read about 3 months ago.

Castle certain Folau sacking was right call but admits she would 'do some things differently'

Benno, You know them do you?

Castle certain Folau sacking was right call but admits she would 'do some things differently'

Hi Tony, I was there but very difficult to watch due to the umbrellas everywhere. The tahs looked much better in the D and that try was excellent. Trial games are good for a run but I wouldn’t read too much into it at this stage.

'We were Tah tough': Harrison hurt but Coleman happy after beating the Brumbies

Chris, previous post got grabbed. Yes, they can be although my experience of people is that they have hell and heaven in them. It depends on the time and the circumstances. We have all read about people doing horrific things and believing they are doing good. Have a look at this https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Milgram_experiment
BTW do you know who were the first to stop slavery and which country?

terrence, part opinion and part fact. The weasel did dramatically cut the amount.

TLN, I am shocked as I thought these ideas only affected those in Hollywood, academia or other people in politics or the media. Apologies if you are famous….

BTW, don’t think about reffing as giving something back to rugby, it just keeps on giving if you ref…

The Roar Rugby Project Part 9: Almost a wrap

Allan, regarding ref’s I think that respect for the ref from the players is important, particularly as some refs are young and do not naturally carry much respect, regardless of how good they are. The good ones rapidly gain it, as the word goes around that they are OK (never good of course).

With regard to the spectators, I am all for a good barracking crowd, it adds atmosphere and occasionally some humour. In a quiet moment on Drummoyn oval, a wit shouted out “Get that bloody psyclops off the pitch” and all the supporters, both teams and myself laughed out loud.
You don’t get those moments sitting at home on your couch, Reffing is a great way to end a rugby career.

pm, I know this is an opinion site but how do you know? Do you know her personally?

Castle certain Folau sacking was right call but admits she would 'do some things differently'

JN, Apart from this issue, Qantas had around Its support for the LGBT community. There was no issue if she had stated that his ideas are despicable to her but he was entitled to them. Then let that weasel of Qantas CEO deal with it. As it turned out not only did he get his LGBT issue dealt with he also dramatically renegotiated what he was prepared to give RA in sponsorship.
Still lost her job though If you think Alan Jones made it happen, I suggest you are wrong. She took what she thought was the easy option but with a lot of costs to the company she was supposedly controlling and it was already in deep financial poo. Typical left winger ideology over reality every day…

Castle certain Folau sacking was right call but admits she would 'do some things differently'

TLN, what she has experienced is what hundreds, if not thousands of people get every day across the world as they are doxed, sacked and deleted. Then let’s all go out and pull over statues and memorials of great men who lived in their time, yet are being judged by the warped discoloured anti-history of some SJW.
Currently, this only affects people of some importance but history shows us that this approach leads on to the mass population over time. The question then becomes who can you trust?
Is that the world you want to be in?

Castle certain Folau sacking was right call but admits she would 'do some things differently'

Glad she went and although I could not care less about Folau’s views, I believe he is as entitled to them as Castle is. This quote sums up what is wrong with current elite thinking:
If you can express your opinion in a respectful way so you can not hurt people or not have people feel bullied or disaffected, that is the most inclusive environment you can create.”
Two points, how the hell do you not hurt people when we all have different levels of tolerance and building an inclusive society where does it end? Do we include paedophiles? murderers? thieves? and where does this list end????

Agree Jacko, particularly against a kiwi team. You need as many on the board as you can. You know they won’t accept a points loss if they can avoid it.

Rugby World: Tate's Reds promotion as JOC stands aside, Lynagh courted by Italy, Boks' 6N rumours quelled

I don’t have a problem with that as long as there is greater than 50/50. They are there to win and not just avoid a loss.
Different in internationals.

Agree RR, the leader is THE LEADER.

thanks, Tony, would like to have seen Nick Frost play more of the game and Jessie Mogg was always a good player. Do you know who to keep an eye on in terms of the asterix’d ones?

Rugby World: Tate's Reds promotion as JOC stands aside, Lynagh courted by Italy, Boks' 6N rumours quelled

Chook, I am going to the game as I live close and looking forward to it. Not expecting too much but any improvement in their D would be a massive improvement. Keen to see if any of the youngsters have improved.
Trial matches don’t reveal too much but I will grab whatever I can out of it.

I don’t think so Jim but I say that with some trepidation as I also put the X against Cooper and look how that worked out?
You are right What the Wallabies really need is a Freddie Steward clone. and Petiaia or Pasitoa may fill that bill but they have hardly been painted in that picture.
We have guys playing in the back row for clubs around Australia who could have been FB’s, except they were needed as fast, tackling, lineout winning forwards.

Analysis: Is Kurtley Beale really the answer to the Wallabies' fullback conundrum?

Randomly MK……

England tour Australia in 2022, so who would make a combined XV?

Sorry Nick meant to put 10, random things happen in old men’s heads.

Agree ken, I am always amazed at how little the Wallabies seem to know about the rules.
Mind you as a 20+ year old I only knew the basics and never opened a rule book until I took up reffing.

Rugby World: Tahs sign 94-cap Wales centre, how Super Rugby rookies are facing challenges ahead of debut

Ken, I always thought that Tim Sheens would have made a good Wallaby coach as he is smart and had a good understanding of union. Yes, there is a shortage of Aussie coaches who are dedicated to coaching and see a career in it. Darren Coleman is an exception and has a league background. We need guys with ‘rugby brains’ and not a degree in sports psychology. We are lacking in deep thinkers in Aus and deep rugby thinkers like Robbie Deans are despised by many and loved by a few. Rennie could be an exception but as long as all is going well – you know the rest.
I moved from the western suburbs about a year ago and whilst living there I met many League players who had played our game. The general thinking was ‘love the game but the opportunity was in league’ not one of them suggested they’d like to coach union. Several of them played union after league days were done but very few ‘names’ made the move, as I guess they had earnt enough to hang up the boots. There was a leaguey cousin of a 2nd grade subbies team player I was involved with, everybody was shocked when his cousin turned up, that a 1st grade player of his standing would have a run in 2nd grade subbies because they were short. I had never heard of him and can’t remember his name, he was an islander and he could play union extremely well.
His club never knew about it and he played under another players name. Funny what you have to do to get 15 guys on the pitch these days!

Rugby World: Tahs sign 94-cap Wales centre, how Super Rugby rookies are facing challenges ahead of debut

Nick, unless the leopard has not changed his spots, he will start Smith in a couple of games at 12, where the outcome is not so critical and Farrell at 10 (assuming he’s fit) in the must-win games. That way he shuts up the media, ‘I’ve given him plenty of time’ and continues on his merry way driving established good players into the ground as he did to Australia.
I am struggling to see a very different evolved Eddie Jones from the one who took McQeens team and played them into the ground, whilst claiming to the media “I have introduced more new players into the Wallabies than any coach in history!”

England tour Australia in 2022, so who would make a combined XV?

Ken, so will I. Mick didn’t rise to the level he did and then become useless. I suspect we could have done better with the Wallabies under him as opposed to his boss.

Tony I am totally over this covid madness. There appears to be little co-ordination and common sense to any of it. A killer for the Drua as they need every game they can get prior to the start, to fix combinations etc.
