I got my latest chuckle of hypocrisy the other night on Fox Sports when I saw the advertising for next weeks “Magic Round” featuring the Jonnhy Cash song “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” which reflects the same sentiment as Folau’s post.
Fox Sports who have had every virtue signaler possible screaming how beyond the pale Izzy has been.
You don’t get to choose what or how someone believes. The offence is your choice and your reaction to it says more about yourself then the person or belief uttered or expressed.

We have become a society of moronic children quick to offence and desperate for adulation.

It's Code of Conduct hearing day to decide Israel Folau's rugby future

Wilder apart from the rounds he got the 2 knockdowns maybe got 1 other round he was outclassed.
The irony is both these fighters likey beat Joshua.
If they fight again the Pykey will win.

It was a 48-47 fight to Mcgregor all day.

But somehow Judge Glen Trowbridge scored the 3rd round as a 10-8 to Diaz, if there was a 10-8 round in this fight it would have been the first round Mcgregor dropped Diaz twice and rocked him a number of time and Diaz barely laid a glove in return.

To mark Sydney down for drugs is a poor way to neg those games, as ALL Olympics are tainted with drugs the only difference is how many get caught, and how many get caught has no relationship with how many are cheating . It’s endemic.

What were the best Olympic games ever?

Alex you’ve pretty much nailed it, I see no point in a Diaz rematch.

McGregor’s pride may have taken a hit but I don’t think it robs anything from him, a loss in a rematch would though.

As it stands on no notice he was prepared to fight way outside of his weight to save a card and he lost big deal.
I’m sure Dana and the UFC couldn’t be happier, a fighter who was on the verge of being irrelevant is now a star again and they’ll all make money out of it.

UFC rushing the Diaz-McGregor rematch is major gamble

Then it is doing a horrid job of it at the moment and the rules they have implemented have set this rubbish in place until there is a change in the rule set.

It isn’t just entertainment, they have robbed the sport it’s entertainment value and it’s development value, because if a team happens to start as in this case Mercedes with a massive advantage it cannot be reasonably bridged.

If you are another company each year being hobbled by this rule set and being made look inept why would you stay in it ?

F1 was the pinnacle of engineering and racing and it’s now which team and con the other teams into a rule set that benefits your team more then theirs and while that may be well played board room maneuvering it makes for a lifeless stagnant bowl of boredom for the spectator.

If it continues like this more will tune out as they have been in droves.

Hamilton on pole as new qualifying format flops

The qualifying format was pathetic, and the formula as it stands is broken.

Mercedes had more in hand unless something dramatic happens they might as well write whichever Mercedes driver they choose to be the champion.

Whatever this is at the moment it’s not sport.

There were a couple of ways McGregor could realistically win, the way he drew Aldo into that particular attack wasn’t by accident.

I just can’t believe that it worked the first time.

The oblique kick was used to check the explosive leg kick lead, drawing Aldo lead in with a right and left combination that he would normally finish with a low right kick, however he was unconscious before he could throw the kick.

McGregors counter was pin point and not thrown that hard but used Aldo’s over commitment to provide most of the power to the KO.

It was no accident they will have practiced it till it was like breathing. You can watch tapes of Aldo exploding forward to throw kicks knees and punches, most fighters give ground and Aldo swarms them into the cage to finish or to reset and repeat.

The key was the kick and Aldos eagerness to want to punish the big mouthed Irishman, And McGregor took a heavy shot to commit to the strike rather then give ground.

Is UFC sport?

I follow alot of combat sports and have for over 35 years.

I watch tonnes of training videos looking for strengths and weakness in the practices and the attitude of the fighters and those that surround them.

Holm

Holm was bought by the UFC to fight Rousey because she was different. Over a decade of title fight experience and with a trainer the has understood the training gap between Boxing , Kickboxing and MMA.

Holm had many of the same advantages as her stable mate Jon Jone, but with one massive difference she has KO power in her hands 17 KO finishes. It’s not by accident Holm’s game plan was JJ 101 without the eye pokes.

Everyone was wowed by the kick it was the kick that finished it but it was the threat of the kill that didn’t come that won Holm the fight and left Rousey eating left hands. They have been training for this moment for years knowing Rousey would be standing in front of them sooner or later. It was a plan perfectly executed by the right type of fighter with a fighter that had absolute faith in her trainer and method.

Rousey

Wow was this ever coming she has been facing basically fighters from the same place wrestling/gapplers come strikers and her style and gameplan eats them period.

Her training and attitude towards training left her with ever widening gaps in her ability and the tactics she could and couldn’t employ.

In a video she stated she no longer does any strength conditioning she spars does hand drills, boxing orientated and grapples.
When was the last time you saw her throw a kick or knee that wasn’t in a clinch.

There are massive blind spots in her training that leave her lacking strength endurance and technique. They all came together and interacted with Holm/Winklejohns fight plan and application to create what most didn’t see coming.

My wife looked at me like i was a madman when I told her I thought Holm would win and after 3 minutes of the fight half the people in our house watching the PPv acknowledged I was probably right. The rest had their heads in their hands shaking there heads at what they were seeing.

The end even came the way I thought it might not because I’m a fortune teller but because the signs were there, in the last UFC embedded I watched it showed Holm goofing off and throwing a combination the combination finished with left hand a fainted the left kick it was smooth as honey and like second nature to her. She had drilled that combination a thousand times for this her moment if she was good enough to used it and land it.

I don’t think a quick turn around will see a different result, I don’t think a fight in a years time will see a different result, Rousey may want it but the gap between what she is doing now and where she needs to get is very very wide.

What this means for Womens MMA who knows.

Holly Holm becomes UFC's most unlikely champion

Well you’ve completely misread me then haven’t you .

I love the entertainment that Rossi has bought to the show but he has been spoon fed the best from the very start of his career.

He acts like a n entitled brat when things don’t all go his way.

His actions just highlighted this part of his nature.

And his rabid fanboi’s have become a blight on the sport and stiffle any critical debate.

I love the sport and the great riders and machines but I don’t idolize them blindly.

He kicked Marquez off anyone other then Rossi would have been DQ’d.

Call me what you like that’s the fanboi way maybe you should look to the mirror first.

Rossi shows a bit of leg, everyone loses their minds

Rossi apologists (fanbois) will as always claim he’s done nothing wrong.

Rossi acted like a dog and his fans act even worse there is no defense for what he did.

Rossi has hard passed pushed people wide and off track throughout his career and not cared for one second for the welfare or outcome for the other rider involved as long as he got his result.

Rossi has had every advantage in his career now age and a bit of luck (the talented riders have stayed healthy) and he might not get that one last championship.

The punishment was pathetic and shows what a farce the sport has become he should have been DQ’d

Rossi shows a bit of leg, everyone loses their minds

The rule set makes for horrid racing and a very narrow target to get things right, then if you get it wrong you can’t correct things to make your vehicle/engine/chassis competitive. And it doesn’t make thing cheaper the money is simply spent elsewhere to gain advantage

Give a rule set that promotes development, A set amount of fuel, multiple tyre manufactures, set maxium and minimum dimensions and weights and get out of the way and let the engineers and drivers show us what is possible.

Is Formula One seriously crap?

With how pathetic and stagnant the racing is atm 5 races would be more then enough.

Anything after that is just for the sake of high speed bill boards, because it’s definitely not about competition or entertainment.

Why do we have 21 races on the 2016 calendar?

If it’s a stoppage by either fighter the roof will lift off the joint.

I love that both the main event fights the both fighters are genuine chances to win.

I think the mad Irishman will find a way to win, don’t be surprised if there’s controversy.

The post fight interviews could be very interesting.

And Rory might just be here at the right time.

I’d really like to see Lawler win but I think Rory has made the changes he needed since their last fight.
