not a bad idea chrisH but that would favour teams that get to play in better conditions eg optus oval in perth or etihad under the roof as oppposed to a soggy mcg or a wet & windy tassie

Seven rule changes the AFL should consider

about as legitimate as a lot of stuff u put up woof woof 😛

Seven rule changes the AFL should consider

not disputing that, am just asking who’s numbers they are

Seven rule changes the AFL should consider

who’s figures are they, dixons ?

Seven rule changes the AFL should consider

love to know how many km’s dunstall, carey or ablett were doing compared to dixon … be very surprised if dixons aerobic capacity wasnt by far greater than the aforementioned blokes, the amount of unrewarded running blokes do now for the teams sake is huge

Seven rule changes the AFL should consider

cant agree with u there big al, personally i like ruckmen & centre bounces, what u propose would totally change the game …. a bit too much hysteria happening here, i recall some of the 25 v 22 goal scoring fests from back in the 70’s, sure there were some goals kicked but check out some of the action on youtube & tell me what u think of some of the skills & defensive capability going on ….. the footy is faster, the players are bigger, fitter & stronger now than ever ….. reckon bring back 20 min qrts, maybe limit the interchanges, leave the rest alone …. remember so many people freaking at the start of the year predicting the imminent demise of the game, well the season panned out alright in the end, the better teams found a way past the congestion & we had some ripper footy played (sure panned out well for this tiges supporter anyway)

AFL rule changes to combat defensive play

great write up pts on this incredible debacle, as others have stated the first in line to the chopping block should be eddie everywhere who has presided over this whole fiasco & possibly started it with the coaching succession plan, the bloke is always happy to dispense advice to everyone else but has been remarkably absent of late

Nathan Buckley's position may no longer be tenable

nathan ablett struck me as a bloke that footy wasnt the be all end all for, perhaps he didnt quite have the hunger for it. although gazza had a stellar career at the suns maybe his dominance whilst helping on field results perhaps stifled the development of some of his younger team mates ?

Suns strike gold with Oleg Markov

ah yes forgot about mav (what an interesting name btw) … did wonder what became of him

Suns strike gold with Oleg Markov

so who have tiges got from the suns ? lynch, prestia, caddy via cats, anyone else ?

Suns strike gold with Oleg Markov

trust me don its not keeping me awake a night, just having some fun

Hogan on his way to GWS after both clubs agree to trade

that game v the doggies was one of the best ive seen & was a great win by the doggies, gws had beaten the swans pretty easily in the semi? earlier though but yeah no guarantees if they had won thru to the granny …… def some talent in their squad but not enough grit when its time to stand up & not convinced the coaching has been that brilliant either

Dynasties that didn't deliver

u citing injuries makes a change from u blaming the umps for freos lack of success, theres always a reason other than them not being quite good enough it seems…….. tiges won because when it came to the crunch they found a way to deliver (again), thats what champion teams do, but whatever floats your boat don, keep spouting your fantasies, gives us all a laugh

Hogan on his way to GWS after both clubs agree to trade

pity to lose a bloke who slots straight in & performs when given a chance, u would reckon at just 24 would prob still have improvement in him. another season or so u would think he’d be close to cementing a more regular place in the team ………hope he goes well at the suns, just not against us !

Suns strike gold with Oleg Markov

if gws had over the doggies in that classic prelim in ’16 reckon they had it over the swannies a bit so woulda been interesting what may have transpired after that, u would think winning a flag would help with player retention

Dynasties that didn't deliver

well if those brissy, cats & hawks sides are considered dynasty teams then the current tiges certainly are so i would say the age of dynasties is well & truly still with us

Dynasties that didn't deliver

makes a change from being the umps fault i spose

Hogan on his way to GWS after both clubs agree to trade

given what was reportedly going on & what appeared to be a lack of response from the club perhaps not totally unforgivable

Dynasties that didn't deliver

just cause the tiges have won convincingly … might say more about their quality rather than their opposition, have u heard leigh matthews’ view on these recent ‘dynasties’ ?

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

they had a crack for about a qrt n a bit before the tiges ground them into the dirt ……. awesome power rangers stance though ….

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

mate have u ever played footy ? u reckon the opposition werent having a good go ? ok gws went to water, but they had to be beaten into submission

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

what is going on there pete ? now we are hearing pies senior players want him out, is that true ? something extraordinary must have happened that we havent heard about yet surely

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

ha ha ask ablett or vlaustin how easy this years one was

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

but ..but … he’s the messiah …

What is the AFL's greatest modern dynasty?

lets examine some of the personnel of these supposedly legitimate worthy opponents u speak of ….. ’01 bombers, blokes like danny jacobs, adam ramanauskas, chris heffernan, dean rioli, gary moorcroft, justin blumfield, paul barnard …..’09 saints jason blake, spud dawson, farren ray, andrew mcqualter, raph clarke, sean dempster …. ’11 pies alan toovey, jarryd blair, leigh brown, leon davies, sharrod wellingham, alex fasolo …. ’14 swans gary rohan, harry cunningham, mike pyke, craig bird, jake lloyd, rhyce shaw ……. good players, yeah but hardly superstars ……….kept hearing how crows were clearly the best side in ’17 (yeah finished the h/a a whole 2 points higher than tiges), but now theyre suddenly an unworthy opponent ? gws beat some not bad sides to make the granny hardly the tiges fault they were so much better than them, cats were supposedly in invincible form after belting pies & then lions on the way to the granny, & then were all over the tiges before we were able to turn the game, but now theyre no good ? ……… curious as to why this diluted comp only became a factor since ’17, seeing as suns came in ’11 & gws ’12, that had no bearing on the hawks success ? who was the legitimate & worthy opponent of brissy, a fading essendon & then the pies ? really ?… think there are some falsehoods spoken of as undisputed fact re the tiges recent success, amazing how much angst the tiges flags are causing some.
