Pat Cummins over Billy Stanlake anyday for me. Billy is inconsistent. With cummo u get consistency with a cheap economy

Steve Smith and Pat Cummins to reignite T20 careers

Mate this is hilarious. how can u say that he is an old school early peak kind of a bowler and won’t last past 30? He hasn’t reached 30 yet and ur saying these kind of things already. Its too early to say that. And if anything then he’s got better chances than anyone to play like johnson or harris even past 30. Reason? Coz he is one of the best athletes in the world and he has evidently reduced his pace a lil bit for a long lasting career and that has worked really well for him over the last few years coz he hasn’t been injured at all. What do u mean by there r better bowlers than him in odi’s and t20? Name me one bowler who’s better than him in the shorter formats apart from M starc? Pat cummins is literally the second best bowler in limited overs Cricket in Australia after m starc. He is currently ranked no.3 in the icc odi Rankings(u don’t get this if ur not one of the best in odi’s). And still ur saying that there r better bowlers than him in the shorter formats.

No mate. It is indeed the time to see Mitch Starc back in action. Everyone complains that he leaks runs. But if he leaks runs then he also gets those crucial wickets. Ben stokes hit Hazlewood for 19 runs in an over, if starc was there, yes he would have also conceded 19 but he would have also managed to take his wicket somehow. And if not stokes, he would have at least knocked leach’s stumps over for sure. This Australian attack has become one dimensional with all of the bowlers only bowling tight lengths, yes they did bowl them out for 67 but again we saw what happened in the end there was no one there to bowl in one day mode to stop ben stokes, there wasn’t an effort ball, no approach from the quicks.

Aussies need a reshuffle but only one change for fourth Ashes Test

Mate Now he is a lot more experienced. The fact is that, u need a balanced attack. If u need bowlers who can contain batsmen, then u also need a Mitch starc who will produce a spell where he will take 3 to 4 wickets. Even if he leaks some runs, then uve got hazlewood and Cummo to back him by containing the batsman. Now they couldn’t work it out under lehmaan coz they played both Starc And Johnson in the same XI that’s where they missed the trick. But here, Starc really offers some variety to the current bowling attack which looks pretty ordinary bar cummins.

What should Australia's XI look like in Leeds?

Fact is that Starc will get wickets, whether he leaks runs or not. And with Smithy out, Australia should attack. Just look at the English batting line up mate they’ve gotten used to this bowling attack of Aus. Everyone has looked ordinary bar Cummins at lords. Even if starc leaks some runs, then there’s hazlewood and Cummo to back him up by controlling the flow of runs. Mitch Starc is a wicket taker. And especially when the ball gets old, he is the best one to reverse it at 96 miles.

What should Australia's XI look like in Leeds?

Starc needs to be picked. It should not be pattinson or starc, coz patto is not as quick as he used to be and starc is obviously the guy to counter Archer’s pace. Just bring Starc back in that’s the only way to go about it.

What should Australia's XI look like in Leeds?

Agreed Paul. But again it’s the same thing right? Its about how CA is managing it’s fast bowlers.

What happened to Mitchell Starc?

U see that’s the problem. What’s the problem? The way CA has been managing Mitchell Starc for the last two years. Starc’s “not so impressive” performance is the result of the “resting bowlers” policy. Fast bowling is all about rhythm. Whenever Starc was about to make a comeback , CA would just rest him thus destroying his rhythm. Starc has been anyway hampered with injuries the last 2 years despite of the resting policy, so was this policy of any good? Absolutely not. As Shane Warne says, Starc is a “rhythm” bowler so just let him play matches as much as possible. Hopefully, everything is gonna change for good this WC.

What happened to Mitchell Starc?

Maybe in tests, he has gone through a lean patch recently. But in odi’s, he is still right up there with the best in the world. It’s shockingly unfair to say that he is “nearly not worth selecting at this point”. He is a match winner and is on the verge to return to his old menacing form. And we’ve also seen some glimpses of his comeback vs Srilanka earlier this year. Class is permanent, form is temporary. A lot of the greats of this game have had their runs of bad form, maybe Starc is having one too. It’s just a part of the game.

Rusty Starc faces World Cup hurdles

Rusty Starc faces World Cup hurdles

I’ve got a feeling that he is gonna crank it up again this world cup. I too believe that he shouldn’t have been rested for the odi’s against India, Aus did wrong there. With all said, i also think that he is going to make a great partnership with the best bowler in the world right now, Pat Cummins. Both could complement each other really well. So yeah, excited!! 🙂

Rusty Starc faces World Cup hurdles

Nah i don’t agree with u mate. U see, the importance of Starc is felt whenever he misses a test match. For example, the Melbourne Ashes test match last summer. Aus struggled without him in that game. Yes i agree that in 2018 he hasn’t been in the best of his form but that was bcoz of some injuries. But when he is fit and firing, he is definitely the best in the world.

Time to face the Starc reality

I don’t think Hoff is that “gentle” pacer anymore. He too can hit speeds of 145kph consistently nowadays. We have also seen that during the recently concluded South Africa series.
