Best test of the year, cracking tries of all sorts. Agree with the red though, a flippin joke. Thought the little Emmy grab attempt by the no. 8 was worse. 😂

'Absolute travesty': Outrage over Koroibete red in Wallabies v France decider

Thanks Carlos, remember the player, and the try. RIP.

Farewell to Marcelo Campo, a great Puma and a friend

It would also help if the West Indies werent actually 43 million too . There are also things called planes these days….we use them sometimes to get to our southern friends, and I guess on that basis even more incredible would be the Jamaican sprinters- I mean how do they not fall off the side of the island when training for the 200 meters? good points…
Imagine taking away the non oz rugby players and coaches…last one turn the lights out? 😁

The two moments of Williamson brilliance that led New Zealand to victory

I think its the David and Goliath scenarios they keep putting in front of us…we always think one day we’ll get that lucky little rock away… 😁

The two moments of Williamson brilliance that led New Zealand to victory

In what year do you think a country with less than 6 million will have claim to having both rugby and cricket world cups and number 1 rankings in their cabinet Riccardo?
…..just kiddin… 😁
Ireland?

The two moments of Williamson brilliance that led New Zealand to victory

nah, be new and better ones by then, over this already 👍

The two moments of Williamson brilliance that led New Zealand to victory

Yep well done, bowling attack made the difference, India just didnt do with the ball what NZ could off the wicket. Deserved after the disappointment of the one day one and the Jamiesons, Conways etc timely intro’s have pushed a very good team into a great one.
As Miley Cirus says…Its the climb! 😁

India fight back against NZ in World Test Championship final

oh look if I could count how many key decisions like that have gone against the Blues over the years it would fill a book. Between that and them causing their own ‘snatch defeat from the jaws of victory’ moments havent served them well but it would be a stretch to find another match where Blues could be considered ‘lucky’. Its hard enough finding the wins for a start. 😁

Blues claim Super Rugby Trans-Tasman glory in thrilling final

nah, not worried about all that. Saders had it more so earlier but didnt go on about that either, plus it doesnt seem to have eventuated. Weird for a team like the Saders to win every game and not make a final, so its those obscure extra, no result changing points when the Blues were out by 30, pushing them to 40 and 50, combined with less close matches that kept the Saders from probably winning another as I doubt we’d beaten them in the final. Saders are geared last 20 years to beat ALL comers, and even here they achieved that. Blues arent. We’ll take the win but the return to normality and REAL rugby an success is still yet to happen. Very promising though. Still need that top notch AB 10 that every other side seems to have had in he last 15 years.

Commentators praise "common sense" decision... but did the Blues get lucky?

Is Barrett Blues next year? Coooool.

Blues claim Super Rugby Trans-Tasman glory in thrilling final

Cool, when does that ever happen????????

Blues claim Super Rugby Trans-Tasman glory in thrilling final

Geez if there’s one word to sum up the Blues the last two decades… it certainly ain’t ‘luck’????

Commentators praise "common sense" decision... but did the Blues get lucky?

Times sure have changed. Highlanders faves to beat the Blues at the home of rugby? In all honesty I just wanna see the W in the books, how the game is played out is secondary. Great to be part of what appears to be a final but this years Blues side wouldn’t have won a full blown Non Covid comp. They would have made top 8 but probably gone out there vs the first away NZ side. But it does give more hope for the next two or three seasons, we’ve finally realised after all these years what a true tight five can accomplish but we still need that world class 10. We haven’t had one who’s sat for good spells in the AB ten jersey since Carlos. Beaudy and DC bit parts don’t count.
Anyway, gloom and doom aside… Cmon the BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!

Tipping panel – the Final: North versus South

yes while that may be true it also serves to undermine credibility and consistency in terms of holding down a position long term in the same teams. JOC has moved here there and everywhere and I think part of that is not being able to nail where he’s best. When he started he was the best talent around, was fearless, but also had that can’t sit still long enough to grow and mature into one of the greats, patience. Very much the rebel, loner type- as a player- had his critics. Still very gifted but 11 years on now accustomed to slotting in where it suits everyone. Oz rugby perhaps could have had a different last ten years if they’d had a more talented and consistent 10- which is what I think he is- a mix of the best of Quade and Foley kinda thing. The way he knocked the ABs off at the end of the Hong Kong match should have heralded in a bigger future than he’s perhaps had. Just my opinion. 😊

James O’Connor is a centre

…certainly proving my point. So far we’ve had 12, 10, the centre’s and fullback in as many posts.

James O’Connor is a centre

With this sort of clear cut gulf in standard, it’s obviously the issue lies in grass roots rugby. For me not a lot of point analysing the comparison at the top level after they’ve come through the ranks and produce such a wide gap. By design, these are the best rugby players these sides are able to extract from the lower levels of rugby, on both sides of the Tasman. If all the energy is spent improving the top level ‘after they get there’ the gains will be minimal. Sure they have to do that anyway if even just to justify paying them. But without improved lower tier rugby, an entire challenge again, the threshold into Super rugby will remain low, and the vicious circle repeats. It’s an ongoing issue for Oz rugby with the other sports going on, but even this small absence from contact with higher standards due to Covid, the complacency has crept in quickly.

Breaking down the New Zealand sides' dominance in Super Rugby Trans-Tasman

A bit like Jordie Barrett, another player who seems destined to go his entire career without having nailed down his core position for all.

James O’Connor is a centre

All good Jacko, haven’t followed a lot of sport under Covid. It’s sure thrown up some interesting scenarios.. Blues are in a final and the Black caps are now no. 1 in test and one day cricket? Surreal….

Blues beat gallant Force to lock up home Trans-Tasman final

Big thing for the Blues is they now face a NZ side after facing a string of average Oz sides. Even as a Blues fan and at home, wise move would be to put some moolah on the Landers and I can’t lose either way. Either the Blues get their win in a long awaited 18 years, albeit in a comp they never even had to meet the Saders in at all… or they pay for the beers. 😁

Brett saying Blues can’t possibly stuff it up this time 3.3 million times has me a touch concerned… 😁

Cmon the Bluuuuuuuuues!!!
