A tragic rugby, cricket and boxing fan. I am not an alcoholic I just have a drink every time an old bloke tells me how good Arthur Beetson, Gary Abblett's dad, Mark Ella, Mike Tyson or Ian Chappell were. To be fair Arthur Beetson was awesome. The others... meh...

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

you are the worst kind because you clearly suck up to parochial influencers from you know where because thats the easiest thing to do….pathetic really.. don’t read any of my articles and don’t comment you are not welcome to.

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

they were penalised because they were taking out players off the ball nowhere near the tackle contest.

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

thats because he was driven to the airport with a one way ticket back to japan… out for 3 weeks with a broken toe-nail and a hairline fracture of hair… yeah right

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

he didn’t struggle… he is quality.. he just doesn’t suit your agenda of rubbishing players that have a NSW background

he is better than Slipper and 7As

now sit a couple of plays out youngman the grown ups are talking

SBW was behind getting the contact between DR and QC last year.

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

it is just so quade to pull out for no good reason other than he didn’t fancy it… fantastic

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

as opposed to james slipper being selected at TH having not played there for 10 years….

the arrogance to claim a player that has had 20 or so test by now should have to go back to the force to prove himself… patronising deuchebag comment

Taniela should be off the bench until he regains match fitness

that is enough out of you sunshine

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

he ran 2m i saw it and got tackled over the line… and it was the best thing i ever saw QC do on a rugby field with ball in hand…

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

who says it s passive… did you ever see Dan Lydiate tackle? have you never heard of the chop tackle?

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

he freely admitted he hasn’t torn anything…. i figure DR asked SBW to drive him to the airport to go back to japan considering he vouched for him

i don’t have a problem with selecting him if he is allowed to be in the squad… and if a kicking game is not important….perfectly understandable…. but he doesn’t have a kicking game and DR himself has been using that as an excuse to leave others out… he has been quoted as saying he wants the back 3 to all be full-backs with kicking games…. . seem he is contradicting himself… is a kicking game important or not? if rennie came out and said only 2 of 3 backfield players need a kicking game that would be a little more upfront…. i belive DR said that so that he can justify not selecting perese on the wing….yet he picks Koroibte from japanese rugby? he has also said he like Ikitau at no 13 because he can kick… ok… so a no 13 with no pace that can kick is better than a no 13 that can win games on his own because he is not as good at kicking…. i just think he is mixing up his ideologies and it bothers me…. Koroibete is great to watch so as mentioned happy to see him play!

I agree with selecting Harry Wilson… I personally can not understand how any coach in the world would not pick him in their starting team… and I mean every single one… he is that good.

He is not alone… there are several players that I would simply never leave out fo a team. I get there is competition for places but certain players are just better. Wilson for starters… Jake Gordon, and Izzy Perese (if fit) are players I would never leave out of my starting team no matter who was currently also i the squad….. I wonder what nonsense is being said at the selection table to justify not selecting them? Nic white is good as is Valetini and Len ikitau… but they’re not as good as the ones i’ve just mentioned.

I’ll throw in Jordan Uelese as another that isn’t even in the squad yet he is the most powerful scrummaging hooker we have.. not even in the squad? are they mad?

Tom Robertson and Ned Hanigan are two others that (apart from parochial you know whats who have their parochial agendas) are another two that are needed for the wallbies to rwach their full potential. these two in aprticular are players that bring quality fundamentals.

I’ll throw in another Tom Hooper, who I understand is injured, is someone that looks like he should be an automatic pick when he returns from injury.

Yes!

Cheers mate to be honest the QC stuff was just a bit of poking fun… because i don’t don’t have a high opinion of him obviously. That is a long story.

The tackle tech stuff has been something i’ve been concerned with post coaching in the UK for 10 years. It was easy coaching english players, compared to aussies, because the english by their rugby culture understand everything is about the fundamentals and so they do not focus just on the fools gold stuff we seem to concern ourselves with here. ie the razzle dazzle with ball in hand. There is no point focusing on something that you can only do to good effect if your house is not in order.. ie have your set piece, tackle tech and breakdown culture, kicking tech, passing tech etc down pat first. I think we have lost our way as a rugby nation and i am not surprised it has been 20+ years since we were setting any standards.

the last 3 minutes… i think we stopped playing. I personally was not too concerned about it. a bad miss tackle and a bit of lazy defense when the game was already sealed. I don’t know what do others think?

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

notice they haven’t said its due to his injury…. but i’m sure it will come out that he definitely broke a toe nail or two maybe even a hair line fracture to one of the hairs on his legs… poor guy… that may take a good 6-9 seconds of recovery time

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

Arnold would make a better no 10

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

yes he went up against the much better scrummager will stuart and at one stage popped him….Stuart has since usurpred Sinckler as the best tight-head in England btw.

Robertson was pretty impressive against a quality samoan scrum on saturday playing at tight-head

oh and don’t be ridiculous TR is not a rookie he has nothing to prove but to keyboard hacks

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

against USA thats fantastic… 😂

Did the Wallabies play champagne or cask-wine rugby?

cool i’ll upgrade him to first class but only if you can point to a moment in a game where he challenged the line or made a break in the past 11 years? You can’t

QC kicked a winning goal at the end of a game which was very good and pobably the highlight of his test career. That says something because it wasn’t anything other than a dead rubber really considering we were never in a position to win the RC. It was a test match though so credit where credit is due but we’re getting carried away using that one moment to wax lyrical about him. In fact I can’t recall one thing he has ever done in an important test match worthy of any note apart from that. The rest of the tournament he did Four-Fifths of F all, before choofing off to play 2nd division Japanese club rugby instead of touring with the wallabies. That says everything we need to know about where his head is at and his standing in the game. Only for sentimental reasons was anyone raving about him last year because overall he was far far from being the no10 of the RC. Apart from that one kick (there were others in the squad capable of kicking it also btw..) we were winning despite having him in the team not because of. he was playing ok because he parked his attempted flamboyance, that never worked anyway, which was good. Hence the ok. I’m happy to buy his ticket back to Japan this year.

“We’re not here to be even with England, we’re here to dominate them.”…… uh oh!

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

because no one in rugby ever plays with a niggle… i’d say just about every player played that game through pain of some sort. I love that quades last moment in a wallaby role was so amazingly redundant… now how to get rid of SBW out of the ear of DR?

Rugby News: Swain ban length revealed, Quade out of second Test, Wallaby prop's warning to Poms

no he did us all a favour and did what quade does… deflect pressure to anyone closest.. hopefully for him he will extend his career back in japan… bye bye quadey
