That kid who replaced Pocock seems to be alright, anyone know anything about him?

One game, ONE GAME!? Really.

George Smith has played at least 100 brilliant games.

If Dean’s won’t select George Smith after that match, then he simply shouldn’t be Wallabies coach.

Better Attack + Better Defence + Better fitness = win.

Tahs’ “revival” is in tatters.

The Sharks do have one massive advantage, and it is probably the only reason they are still alive.

They are the only NRL Club to actually own their home ground.

NRL crisis: Sharks are an endangered species

RK: Well no he isn’t, but my argument was that he is hardly a joke if he is better than one of the Australian openers.

RFBC: Pretty odd way of compiling statistics, just because we have a small sample size for one player doesn’t mean we should limit our sample size for another player when we can actually look at his whole career.

Is this the last chance for Ed Cowan?

No need to apologise, I thought it was an odd way to put up a list when they did it. Must have been a technical glitch because every other nation was definitely included.

Is this the last chance for Ed Cowan?

Well yes, averages are usually quoted in terms of what they actually are, not in terms of what they will be if a player gets out.

I might also add that Compton has a vastly superior first class record to Cowan.

No one is calling anyone a liar. However Palmer is hardly going to publicly say;

“I’m going to France because the halfwit Wallaby coach is going to select Waratahs players no matter what I do.”

Which is likely what he (and everyone outside of Sydney’s North Shore) is actually thinking.

Deans to watch Super Rugby front row fight

Let me take a guess where this is headed:

a) The Brumbies win easily.
b) The Brumbies and Reds are leading the Australian conference when the Lions series starts.
c) There are more Waratahs in the Wallabies XV in the first test than Brumbies/Reds combined.

Yeah I have, his average is higher than Cowan’s is so I’m not sure what the joke is.

They didn’t include England in that list at all.

Compton/Cook are averaging 68.00 (at least they were this morning and they have since added another 98).

There’s nothing stopping the NRL creating a Perth and second Brisbane team from scratch either.

People would drop him because they have an attention span lasting longer than one innings.

Compton/Cook…

If you think anyone averaging 32 who is selected as a pure batsman has had a “very good” time then it says a lot about the expectation of mediocrity that is creeping into Australian cricket.

Is this the last chance for Ed Cowan?

Whoa, steady on.

All they have done is lose two games, both on the road.

Lets see how they perform at home before we start making big claims.

Is the Crusaders' dynasty over?

The SA economy is in the toilet. No business would consider starting up there at the moment.

NRL crisis: Sharks are an endangered species

People have been predicting the Sharks demise pretty much since they began.

With the new NRL TV deal there is next to no chance of any club going under. Add to that the money on the $300 million redevelopment will start flowing soon.

It’s a hell of a speedbump for the Sharks in the short term, but it is not an existential threat by any means.

Either Souths are bloody good or the Roosters are diabolically bad.

To be honest I am leaning towards the latter.

Souths steal Roosters' thunder

The scoreline history of Brumbies-Waratahs games in Canberra is actually pretty one sided.

Average score 31-14 Brumbies.

Interesting stat: The Waratahs have never got a “7 or less” bonus point in Canberra.

Brumbies keen to smash big brother as Waratah Week looms

Brumbies comfortably.

All the Waratahs have done is lose to the Reds and then struggle to a victory, at home no less, against Melbourne.

Their pop-gun attack won’t be getting anywhere near the Brumbies tryline.

Waratahs aren’t even going to be close.

It’s at Bruce Stadium, the Brumbies have better defence, the Brumbies have better attack and the Brumbies are fitter.

Good luck.

But the parties aren’t targeting every voter in Australia, they are targeting voters in very specific electorates.

Case in point; in 2004 John Howard won the seat of Lindsay off the back of a funding announcement to the Panthers two days before the election.

How the Wanderers could win the West

Because logically if I go to a WSW game in January there is absolutely no way I would be able to attend a Parra game in July.

How the Wanderers could win the West

While not a club, there probably hasn’t been a better example than George Best and Northern Ireland.
