Which team do you support then Paul?

All the love for Souths: Can Bunnies claim first premiership since 2014?

Fair enough Tom. Just tell me though, that if Manly was in the Rabbitohs’ position next week, you wouldn’t have similar concerns?

Cleary CLEARED: Panthers skipper a free man for grand final

At least you recognise I am doing my best, Nat. You really can’t ask for more than that. 😂

“Go the Panthers” Paul? That’s hardly in keeping with your “All the love for Souths” headline now, is it?

All the love for Souths: Can Bunnies claim first premiership since 2014?

If I have learnt anything from the old master Wayne Bennett, it’s how to seize hold of the narrative, especially during Grand Final week. You have to concede there are justifiable grievances and serious concerns for Souths to get a fair go in the GF. Especially if Sutton gets sacked and is replaced by either Atkins or Klein. I would hate to see the Bunnies robbed of a fair chance in the premiership decider, which looks all too likely given the history of both Atkins and Klein.

It’s tough enough I have to live with our Redcliffe Dolphins being TKO’ed by Tweed Heads in Tugan, matth. I don’t think my heart could take it if the Bunnies were not even given a fair go as well.

@Forty Twenty We have been over this ad nauseam FT. I have conceded repeatedly that Manly were disadvantaged and were entitled to the same salary cap relief. You and your Manly brothers agreed with me that the NRL were WRONG with their ruling against Manly and that at some point the rule had to change for the sake of the game, the clubs and a more equitable competition. One club was always going to be the first to benefit from that, and Manly were only a 1 in 16 chance of being that team.

So, in reference to my long list of charges against the Panthers in my above comment, are you happy to see a team so consistently being allowed to play outside the rules get handed a premiership? Souths aren’t guilty of che@ting or preferential treatment, mate. If they were, Latrell would still be playing. Time to pick a side FT. I would have supported Manly against the Panthers if Manly had progressed to the GF instead of Souths.

Too bad my reply to Forty Twenty hasn’t gone up yet, Matt. I will try to repost that answer after this reply.

Imagine if the Broncos got their home-grown talent back… Reece Walsh, Sam Walker, Dane Gagai, Jai Arrow, Jaydn Su’A, Adam Reynolds… 😂

Throw Wayne Bennett into the mix and I can’t imagine how all of QLD wouldn’t get behind the Rabbitohs for the 2021 GF! Better for half a Sydney team to win the premiership than one representing all of Sydney! 😂 😂 😂

If you say so mate. 😂 😂 😂

Sadly, it doesn’t matter how long we make the list of the Panthers attempts to abuse the rules and the system, the majority here don’t care and are happy to look the other way just as long as the Rabbitohs don’t win yet another title to take their tally to 22 premierships and even further out of reach for the other clubs. I’m sure “Uncle Nick” in particular is quite determined that Souths be stopped at all costs… not that he has much influence at NRL HQ, of course. 😂

Unfortunately, those numbers don’t apply to the ROAR members. Souths are the underdogs once again. 😢

“How did I know he would still be linked to the Broncos. They get mentioned before the bloody Warriors.”

You have to question who first shaped the impressionable young man’s character, Nat. Anthony Seibold put Sam Walker and Reece Walsh under a lot of pressure before driving them out of the club. The spirit of Seibold lingers on at Red Hill I’m afraid old mate. 😂 😂 😂

The Gold Coast claims yet another victim! Just like Jimmy the Jet, Dave Taylor, Greg Bird et al, now young Reece Walsh gets drawn into the opiate-like atmosphere of the QLDs version of Sin City where the town motto is; “Get high one day, get busted the next”.

The Dogs still don’t have the forwards to be competitive with the top sides. Vaughan, Napa and Jackson are yesterday’s men, and there are still massive question marks over their coach. The Dogs also don’t have a quality dummy half. Throw Brandon Smith into the mix and all that changes. Finally, as no one in particular says, Burton is more suited to centre than playing in the halves. When he was thrown into that role while Cleary was out in a sink or swim exercise, Burton drowned. The Dogs simply don’t have the forwards, halves, dummy half or bench to match it with the Rabbitohs, Panthers, Storm, Eels, Manly, Roosters and even the Raiders over 25 rounds. IMHO, only the first 5-6 teams will be serious contenders in any event.
The Dogs should improve, but a top 8 finish might just be a bridge too far in 2022.

Could 2022 be the year of the Dogs?

A shoe for a shoe, Big Mig. If they try the BS against the Bunnies next week, they will get a boot tossed into the grandstand on the next tackle. Keep it up and even their jockstraps won’t be safe! 😂

All the love for Souths: Can Bunnies claim first premiership since 2014?

I’m confused Adam. I thought Grant Atkins and Ashley Klein were 18th and 19th men for the Panthers? 😂

And then there were two: Talking points from NRL preliminary final weekend

John, Soda, Souths can use all the support they can get. Clearly, the majority of the NRL neutrals have jumped on the Panthers and are happy to turn a blind eye to them burning the NRL rule book on their inglorious path to an undeserved premiership. If you can’t win without making a mockery of the officials and the rule book, then you shouldn’t be allowed to get to the GF. The Eels clearly deserved to progress to the prelim final and with two wins already over the Storm this year and given the way the Storm played does anyone doubt that the Eels would have progressed to the GF?

If the Panthers are the winners, I can guarantee that Rugby League will be the loser. You can draw a red line through that old proverb too, “che@ters never prosper”.

You beat me to it, Craig. 😂 👍

‘ may RL be the WINNER’

That’s not likely if the NRL rule book and the spirit and the integrity of the game is the loser, jimmmy.

No, brookvalesouth. It’s not. It’s now a two horse race. 😛

All the love for Souths: Can Bunnies claim first premiership since 2014?

I can’t say that I am feeling the love for the Rabbitohs, Paul. Not when so many NRL neutrals are only too happy to turn a blind eye to the serial che@ting of the Panthers and to make excuses for making a mockery of the rule book. No, I think there is a growing wave of resentment against the cardinal and myrtle that has overtaken the wave of sentimentality that was building for Benji, Bennett and Reynolds. It will be a hard ask for the Bunnies next week, playing 14 vs 13 on the field plus one in the bunker.

“I love Penrith and can’t find anyone who doesn’t.”

You can’t be looking too hard then FCttB. 😂 😂 😂 😂

All the love for Souths: Can Bunnies claim first premiership since 2014?

That’s like saying dumping a player on his head is OK, just as long as it’s Ivan’s son, and we don’t have another Alex MacKinnon incident on our hands. So being caught out che@ting week after week is OK if it is the Panthers? Is that it? I get the feeling the majority of NRL fans on this site support the Panthers throwing the rule book out the window. Now it is looking like Sutton will get dropped for that very mistake leaving the door open for Ivan’s besties Grant Atkins and Ashley Klein it hardly seems worth the Rabbitohs effort to even turn up. Why not just hand the Provan-Summon trophy to the Panthers now, Tom?

Cleary CLEARED: Panthers skipper a free man for grand final

Still, it hardly seems fair that one should be allowed to play and not another. Latrell is a serial hothead and Cleary is a serial che@t. I can’t see how letting the Panthers get away with blue murder and trample all over the NRL rule book, twisting it out of shape until it is unrecognisable, serves the better interests of the game, Rob. The Panthers are cocky and unrepentant… and I realise I may have just described myself. 😂 😂 😂
