I watch Rugby regularly – I buy a ticket and go to the stadium and watch. Crazy hey!
this year I have seen some quality Rugby as my local Brumbies have had two wins and a loss. Much better than watching from the couch.
Last night was First Nations round and at Canberra Stadium we saw local aboriginal groups put on a great display – can’t get that on stan.
The brumbies also have a polynesian drum line that play during the matches providing great atmosphere- can’t get that on 9Gem.
My advice – stop whinging and get off your backside and get to a game.

Thanks Chris great article
As a basketball tragic it is great to see the game get back some dignity and presence in Australia this year. The next step in my humble opinion is to capitalise on the tremendous number of youngsters playing the game and to get them involved. The four games a week is great but it leaves little time for community interaction, schools clinics etc. This is probably best left to the off season but will we see this occur? A groundswell of juniors seeing their NBL favourites turn up at school from may to August in anticipation of the NBL season might very well transfer into a well attended Christmas day game – who knows?.

Bold moves the way forward for NBL

The official crowd figure was a touch over 10000 according to the stadium announcement.

Gusty Pies shade Giants to keep finals hopes alive

Bosk – the issue as I have stated is not the players – it is the suppliers and networks that have the potential to blackmail them in the future. That is where the attention should be paid.

Yes ASADA should do their job but the links to organised crime are far more damaging.

It's not just the drugs in sport that worries me

The role of the ABC in cricket coverage is absolutely crucial particularly for rural and regional folks who travel frequently and therefore cannot watch the cricket and by the nature of their employment are confined to listening to cricket. The same applies to office workers in the city who are happy to plug in a earpiece and listen to the radio streaming on their PCs given that no employer is going to allow them to watch cricket all day in the break room.

Only CA would make the dumb mistake of thinking that all cricket followers are going to pay to watch cricket on their iphones. They should not take the ABC for granted as its reach is much greater than commercial digital media.
