Yep – a new coach in a four year RWC cycle has a good one to two years to get things right. Year 3 needs to start the incline with a peak in the fourth year. Rennie doing exactly as expected in year 1 !

First comment for a long time. You make a lot of sense Cassandra. Let’s hope that unlike his predecessor, DR actually does analyse his opposition. That would be a nice start wouldn’t it. Think we may well get done but starting to really look forward to this game.

Max, I could be wrong but I think the Rebels deteriorated last year when they removed English from #13. He had a pairing with Meakes that appeared to be working. I hope Wessles doesn’t change that moving forward. I would like to see Hodge on the bench to start.

Gee Geoff, who would’ve thought that teams need to play together a fair bit before they can expect some consistent level of success? I guess Chieka wasn’t aware of that when he played some of our halves pairings in the recent World Cup. 😢

It was a stupid thing to do, but you’re right – I don’t think there was any intention to harm. Having said that you can’t play with someone’s junk. It’s wrong on so many fronts, and we don’t want to send a message that it’s ok. 12 weeks for mine. Maybe it’s 16 because it’s Marler and he’s a knob (pun intended). 😊

I reckon you need a card in between a red and a yellow. In both of these cases the impacted players managed to play the rest of the game. You could send off the offending player, not to come on again, but replace them with an alternate player so you still have a 15 man team. That could work.
We need to continue to make sure that the head is sacrosanct. Always. And the pace that the game is being played makes is harder every year
