Positive for the Tigs is we matched them in centre clearances and we’re pretty competitive until Hopper went off. At that point he was the highest possession winner on the ground. Dow, HRS and MRJ took a step forward. Tigs missed some easy shots which would have made it a closer game. Felt more like a 4 to 5 goal loss. On thé plus side percentage deteriorated so hopefully we score some high draft picks. 👍

Footy Fix: Tigers try to drag Dees down to their level and beat them with experience - and it nearly works

Thé flying mullet needs more game time in the firsts and with that he will come on like
the other youngsters, Brown, Dow, Campbell. We need his run in the team. 👍

Yep Cam easy draw though. Can’t work out why Cats have had such a light start compared the Tigers. Biggest test was Lions away.

With their defence and a trade steal firing, the Cats lead the ladder. The next three weeks will tell us if they really deserve to

Yep, don’t know how we can field a VFL team! Steve Morris will be driving around the Melbourne suburbs to pick up players! 🤢

Prestia, Hopper, Taranto and Ross. Absolute horror show at Tigerland.

Tigers actually won 3 quarters last week including the last. Saints exploded in a 15 min period in the 3rd and booted 6.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 5: After a weekend of 9s, can our experts back it up?

I did say better! Apart from Allen, as Jack Dyer would say, some good average players. 👍

No but will mention Big Tom brown! How good is he Yattz? Straight from the Kitty Litter – good pedigree. 👍

You forgot Bolton, Broad and Pickett. I think if plodders was the issue, they wouldn’t be go to West Coast. 🤢

Not gonna kick the Eagles while they are down but definitely a great opportunity for a win for them. Surprised no one selected the Eagles. Tigers have had the draw from hell, with their 3rd road trip in 6 weeks and playing only the 2nd non finalist from 2023 in that time – bring on the bye! BTW AFL, Did we play off in the GF? 😱

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 5: After a weekend of 9s, can our experts back it up?

No excuses but I reckon we would go better with Balta, Lynch, Hopper, Prestia and Gibcus in the team. Educate me and name 5 Eagles not playing who are better.

Ellis, Butler, Higgins, Soldo weren’t going to replace Edwards, Lambert, Graham, Rioli or Nank. Tigers selectors justified their decisions with 3 Tiger Premierships to Freo Zéro!

Six Points: Clutch kings do it again, footy's dirtiest player, and debunking 'Vic-centric' fixture myth

Big Ivan was like Ellis, Butler, Higgins etc. We developed these blokes but had excess of riches in their respective positions. They did what was best for themselves. We our now going to have the same issue with our half forward/half back lines. But Bolts is a stayer – you blokes have been nabbing enough!

Six Points: Clutch kings do it again, footy's dirtiest player, and debunking 'Vic-centric' fixture myth

Tim, good summation of Tigers/Saints game. With Lynch/Baker and Balta out, that is an average of 4 goals a game and definitely the difference. 👍 Tigers couldn’t take a grab in the last!

Yep them the breaks, I’m glad you pointed out the Tigers loss against the Purple Haze. We lost 3 in a row by less than a goal at that time. Enough to break anyone, but what happened, we went all the way! Another reason why the Tiger success was absolutely brilliant. You boys are infants at this close call losses and heartaches! Wait until it’s in final! 👍

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

Must admit I looked at their list and felt, they have to make finals!

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

Pete, Poor Don doesn’t realise it happens to all teams. What finals game was it when Silvangi swore black and blue he touched it?

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

Don’t get too excited Don, even the Tiger miss got the better of the Blues but same result. 😢

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

Yep Wiki, the Tigers have the blueprint on how to lose games! Freo are babies at this. 😂 How about the 22 finals at the Gabba. You kick a goal and a camera 90m away overrules the umpire who is underneath the posts, supposedly being conclusive – now that hurts!

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

I keep telling you Don, Freo have to kick more than 10 goals to win a game. 😂

Footy Fix: No, the umpires didn't gift Carlton the game - but Freo sure did

Not much has been said about Ooze’s coaching but he definitely got the chocolates against a more fancied Horse. Missing personnel is not an argument the Swans want to take up against that Tiger team. Great effort Tigs and it was in the 3rd when the pressure was at its peak. 👍

'Disproportionate reaction': Forget the doomsayers - Sydney's shock loss to Richmond means absolutely nothing

Interesting a couple of Swans players go down and it is the reason for defeat. On that basis Tigers must be a lot better off than the Swans. I see 8 players in Tigers side facing the Saints have played VFL this year and there have only been 2 games!

'Disproportionate reaction': Forget the doomsayers - Sydney's shock loss to Richmond means absolutely nothing

Yatz, I love your enthusiasm! Look with a dozen or so injuries probably not, but finishing bottom with our draft hand is not bad. But Tiger or should I say kitty, keep watching our boys play – exciting aren’t they! 😛

AFL News: Huge triple blow for Tigers, former greats slam Lions' Vegas story, Saint cops ban

Pete obviously has forgotten how the Crippler won his Brownlow. 😱 A team of legal eagles from the top end of town getting him off on a technicality with no reference to the actual act. I suspect many may be biased to the right who are not ashamed! On that basis why does he support the Blues, should be backing the working class Tigers! 👍

AFL News: Huge triple blow for Tigers, former greats slam Lions' Vegas story, Saint cops ban

Glad you were entertained Yatz! Best game since Dusty did Danger in the GF of 20. You know the evening Danger took out Vlastuin with and elbow to the head. Thats 4 weeks today. 👍 But actually of the 12 injured players only 4 are above the age of 26 and it looks like Dusty and Grimes are back, with potentially Graham who hasn’t played this year. So that will leave us 10 out including Bakes. As for the game plan, not much different to what the Blues and Power employed against us. And the way I look at our list is we are taking the Cats approach at regenerating it, which I think is better than the North approach. 👍
