No apparently we just caught the Swans on a bad day and were lucky! 😁 But seriously maybe no, because Balta and Lynch won’t be there for some time. The list keeps growing – that is tragic!

Six Points: Commonsense solution to score review influx, and why this star Tiger should get two weeks

Absolute disaster for the Tigers! 😱 🤢 Ooze if you’re reading this, Sampson Ryan must come in at Full Forward, Miller goes up at CHF, Grimes and Dusty come back.

AFL News: Huge triple blow for Tigers, former greats slam Lions' Vegas story, Saint cops ban

Too many turn on the Tigers when things are tough. In 2014 I was at the Elimination Final. North won and were pretty much in the same place as the Tigers. They chose to trash their stars and rebuild, Richmond chose a different direction. I’m happy with that direction and have faith in the coaching staff and administration. We have won enough Premierships to last a lifetime. Dusty can’t be replaced, he is once in a generation player and like Royce Hart everyone stands tall around him. Lynch stays, 2m strong forwards don’t grow on trees. In the Dusty draft, Melbourne had pick 1 & 2, draft picks can be an unknown. With Jack and Cotch retired our cap is good. I would like to see Brown and Miller stay in. Maybe Grimes losses out in that one. I have been iffy on Pickett but he got us back in the game in the 3rd. I’m glad we are not tanking like the Eagles, remember they won in 18 – we’re doing good. 👍

No need to worry Knacks, every team is off their game against the Tigers! 😁

He’s brilliant, great pickup by the Tigs. Has had the kitchen sink thrown at him with all the injuries, swapping the team around, changing tactics and doesn’t get baited by the media.

We play exciting footy Frodo! Notice how every team is off when they play Richmond? Suns were off after halftime, Blues were off and should have won by 10 goals, Port were off for 3 Qtrs and now the Swans were off against a bottom 4 team! 😱

Too much focus on small negatives. A week ago Tigers were written off with no youngsters coming through iffy coach and the need to trade out their best players because they were going to lose by 100 points. Even Clown Cornes saying Dusty should retire and others saying we should trade Lynch out! What are these Clowns saying a week later? How good were Campbell and Mansell. Miller and Brown were solid at the other end. People don’t realise we have used 34 players already after 4 weeks more than the 2020 Premiership year! BTW our VFL team still beat the Swans. We’re doing good and Tim we didn’t get a shellacking from the Suns, they blew us apart in 1 and half quarters. We beat them in the second half. Taranto proved his worth today and Ooze is showing how smart he is. We might not make finals but look very competitive and will scare some teams!

The player I overrate the most is Baker and probably Bolton. I didn’t select Dusty in the AA squad last year and I do believe he should stay at the club and is good for the youngsters coming through. Had Lynch played a full 2022 he would have won the Coleman. It’s only round 3 and people are talking about trading these 2 guys. People place too much value on unproven draft picks. Our recruiting has been solid, Baker, Grimes, Lambert, Nank, Houli were all players recruited under the noses of other clubs and became multiple Premiership players. I have questions over Dow and think either him or Sonsie get the nod but don’t think both

Richmond must embrace rebuild or risk getting 'mired in mediocrity' - here's how they can do it

Wiki we all have a different take. Apart from 1 and a half quarters against the Suns I am pretty wrapped on how the Tigers are going. We lost 3 guys to Carlton essentially by quarter time, no wonder we tired at the end. 6 changes to Port and Hinkley had to change his jocks at half time. We found Campbell, Ross is coming on Brown, Trezise and Dow are getting a look in. Tragic about Gibcus, he is a 200 gamer. McCauliffe looks like the steal of the Draft and vindicates the Hopper trade, who was travelling well until injured. Tarranto is a winner, people have forgotten he won the Beat and fairest and finished high in the Brownlow. Dusty is not done, he was a gun in the second half of the season and in AA contention. Obviously carried an injury last start. There is too much short termism, we are still competitive after having such success. The Club is on track, I have faith in the administration. No doubt there are some guys young and old who are probably in their last season, which are on notice. As Derm said we have mileage to trade our draft picks and could end up with 2 first rounders and 2 second, which would be perfect! 👍

Wiki, you’re good at history, tell everyone what happened the last time we lost to the Swans by 100. Have faith young man! Dimma was 0 and 9 in his first year. I would take that this year to get the same result over the next 10!

Pete I reckon the Pies have the toughest first 6 weeks followed by the Tigs. Pies play 5 finalists, Tigs 4 with the 2 non finalists being interstate trips.

Footy Fix: Don't panic just yet, Pies fans... but there's now a blueprint to bring the premiers down

How many clubs have won back to back in an 18 team competition? …….BTW the Cats couldn’t win back to back-it’s tough, real tough!

Footy Fix: Don't panic just yet, Pies fans... but there's now a blueprint to bring the premiers down

Great explanation – sometimes people need to educate themselves through Wikipetia!

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

So you admit it was a push in the back – thank you! Show me a softer 55m penalty than DK’s in the last, that iced the game. You do know the 2 backman we lost before halftime were nearly 2m tall, maybe you might have an advantage in marks? Your stats read Blues won the ball from turnovers, then controlled it through kick to kick and uncontested possessions/marks and took advantage of Tigers inability to effectively clear the ball out of their back half. Even Voss admitted they were beaten to first use of the footy, clearances and contested possessions. Tigers have won Premierships on less possession game than their opponents due to their style of game. I won’t charge you on how to read stats. P. S. On those stats, Blues won’t win against good teams who are more efficient and not playing short with 3 players down.

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

Sure Freo losses a player each game to a season ending ACL, a concussion before halftime and a hammy to their most experienced midfielder in the 1st – you most be related Clown Cornes. 😱

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

I look at it like this Ghost. Since Tigers went deep into September for 4 years straight and banked 3 lots of silverware in Trophy cabinet, everyone thinks it’s easy to back up again, it ain’t! That effort in 2020 was unbelievable and one of the greatest achievements in the AFL era. That greatness irks many opposition supporters who think, yeah it’s easy you can win another flag. The system wasn’t designed to win back to back let alone 3 in 4 years!

Footy Fix: Don't panic just yet, Pies fans... but there's now a blueprint to bring the premiers down

Had the Lions won by 5 points last week, you could have penned the same quote. At the end of the day the focus is the scoreboard not the if, buts and maybes. Had Mansell done this, Pickett that, Bolton if. All bits and maybes. Blues were behind majority of the game, lost contested possessions and clearances even when Tigs lost a key midfielder. Everyone has a story.

Nics loved the Eagles from day 1. Best thing for the comp. Was there when they ran over the Cats in 92. How good was that! Another road kill GF Cats loss! . But Tigers are not in bad shape. We touched up the Blues VFL by 10 goals yesterday and have a great draft hand. Hopefully I’m wrong and we finish bottom 4. 👍

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

Correct Realist! I think we trounced the Blues 2nds by 10 goals. 🥊 Miller probably needs to come in as a tall backman and back up ruck. Big Tom Brown had a great debut game last year and should get a full game. Potentially Sam Banks, Judson Clarke. Mcauliffe is going great guns.

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

Had Tigers won the Frees kick count 24 to 17 we would have won the game. I only saw 1 lucky in the first, you can’t push in the back Macca. Blues got a couple of breaks in the last which made up for that.

Footy Fix: The Tigers aren't any good... but you have to admire their Phar Lap-sized hearts

Thats an indepth interpretation of the game, Don. Here it is from a Richmond perspective. Tigers bounced back from a disappointing effort last week, with a 5 day break with 3 players down to produce an absolute guts effort to nearly beat the Premiership favourites! As a Tiger supporter you couldn’t ask for more. Balta was brilliant, Nank was a rock, Lynch provided the target we have been missing. We won the clearances and contested possessions which was a massive bounce back from last week. 3,2,1.
Vlastuin absolutely brilliant 3 votes
Balta we need 2 more of him 2 votes
Nank great Captains game 1 vote

And yes we are better than what Tim, Clown Cornes and what the media dish out. 👍

Funny my Ladder Predictor is very similar:

Richmond
2017/ 1st
2018/ 1st
2019/ 1st
2020/ 1st
2021/ 1st
2022/1st
2023/1st

Works nearly 50 percent of the time!

AFL Oracle: They just missed the eight last year - but can any of these teams turn it around in 2024?

Right decision, good chance it could be his last season. At 20, Tom Brown was great in his debut game with 17 disposals and 6 marks down back. Tresize 21, also looks like a good long term prospect, had a great first game as well. Next year some of youngsters from the 2022 draft will get more of a run.

Grimes makes surprise captaincy call as Tigers roll with sole skipper

That argument is well worn. If that was the case, Melbourne would have won 20 AFL/VFL Premierships in the past 50 years not 1 – just a crock. 😱

Hardwick hits back at critics over Suns getting preferential draft picks 'for the greater good of the game'

Yep Tiger team have done great. 9 draft picks next year with some picks tied to Freo and Wet toast. That should give us a a strong hand 👍 A future midfielder and forward is exactly what we needed!
