The Crows will not have sufficient depth to cover a bad run of injuries. With luck they could make 8th place. With bad luck they will be a wooden spoon contender. It is disappointing to lose Greenwood but other departures will only hurt if depth is fully tested.

Good win to the Southern All Stars. The Northern All Stars wasted too many opportunities.
State of Origin forecast: Victoria vs All Stars
Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania are heart and soul Aussie Rules states. The case for SA and WA not expanding above two teams is very strong. So too is the case for Tasmania having one team. The case for Victoria having at least 6 teams is very strong. The case for Victoria having more than 7 or 8 teams is weak. The days of the AFL continuing as an extended VFL are numbered. The entrance of Tasmania could mark the time for a true AFL to begin.
With Tasmania locked in to join the competition, where is the inevitable 20th AFL team destined to come from?
