'Previous chairman can not be a scapegoat': First salvo fired in bid to spill the Rugby Australia board
I see.. at least we agree on that.. ironically for exactly the same reason. Please note you were the one to introduce the subject to a Rugby forum

Been there on very many occasions and have done lots of business there for decades, but no I have not lived there. So I guess in your eyes that would make me fail to understand why the presence of a corrupt, treasonous orange clown, who did nothing in four years but stack the judiciary with reactionary troglodytes and lower taxes for corporate tax cheats and billionaires is “better”.

You cannot be serious. Better in which way?? If by better you mean more chaos and corruption then you may have a point

The attraction of Hamish was founded on mythology he had created himself in large part. Even a shallow dig into his achievements would’ve uncovered that. The absence of due diligence in his recruitment was compounded by providing him with unfettered control thereafter should have resulted in the dismissal of the entire Board.

Anyone who gets to play even one game in the NRL is deserving of acknowledgment let alone those who get a career out of the game. To be around for over 300 is a remarkable achievement.
The NRL's 300-game club is hard to get into, but those who have made it definitely deserve the accolades
Scapegoat???!! More like a Billy goat. The bloke was a myth and those who enabled him should be punted too. The whole sorry chapter needs to be moved on from and McLennan and his ilk blocked from any future involvement with Rugby at any level

NRL Round 3 Talking Points: Blowouts, bad bunnies, and bunker babies are back
Oh so it was a forward pass too now 😂 😂 😂
Moses-inspired Parra prove they're finals contenders but Manly seething as Bunker lacks 'common sense' with no-try call
They couldn’t match the weight of possession given to the Eels by Gough who let the crowd referee the game

don’t forget that Moretti was guaranteed to make that tackle with his blistering pace 😂 . He actually changed his direction to run into Jake ffs

When it’s Manly there are no neutrals believe me.

Perfect assessment. The Commbank leg up is becoming way too predictable. To win there you need to put on an unassailable lead and hope the boke in the middle is prepared to give you at least 30% of the calls

Souths have failed to make roster improvements for several years and have a coach whose communication skills seem underdeveloped. There is still plenty of talent in that squad but the lack of cohesion is palpable. As for Latrell, I can’t help but feel sorry for him. So much is expected that when he fails to turn in a match winning freakish performance, it registers as a fail. He doesn’t help himself by maintaining his outspokenness. He could benefit with a year or two in Super League where all he had to worry about was playing.
Demetriou has 'no doubt' he can turn around Souths after disaster derby sees Latrell binned in Roosters riot
When you look at the highly talented players who were also grand final winners that they’ve released in the last few years, it has been an outstanding achievement. It’s one hell of a factory that’s for sure
'Duty to bend' debate over Walsh hit overshadows 'absolute genius' Cleary torturing Broncos in statement Panthers win
In Union, not saying it’s right, but that would have been a send off any day of the week. There’s no way head to head contact is excused as an accident anymore… approaching a tackle late with zero attempt to lower the height is immediately sanctionable. League needs clarity on this,

The kid is a real talent for sure. He may be a decent pick up for a good coach like Cleary… only thing is he goes nowhere without his brothers, you get one, you get them all. 😊

Fainu going to the Tigers never made sense. He’s highly unlikely to get a run this year with who has been put in front of him and next year that gets worse.

The ‘field of dreams’ strategy so favoured under Toddles Greenberg aka the worlds worst sports ceo, was an abject failure. Sydney sprawl and lack of accessibility to reliable weekend transport ensure that when you build it sometimes they don’t come. Boutique stadiums with lesser capacity but greater amenities is what the market has been screaming about for years. Manly, only in the past couple of years has received any substantial government funding despite years of promises including those from two state premiers and a prime minister who were local members.
Leichhardt and Belmore are the soul of the NRL - fans should enjoy them while they still can
Field wasn’t needed at Manly. They already had a far better halfback who had to be moved to accommodate him. A half that was also the premiership winning captain and Clive Churchill medalist from the previous season. A classic case of a coach over engineering, one of Fultons greatest blunders.

I agree, he was a much better player than he was a coach.

Tragic… who would think that anybody could kill off a glittering career at a church dance? Sad that it probably caused the loss of his brothers at Manly too. They had years invested in that family

Souths have got to have a sore foot from kicking themselves for letting Reynolds leave. He’s still one of the best in the business.
