'They're in the business of taking souls': Talking points from the Storm’s crushing win over Manly

I think manly over the roosters by less than ten and the Panthers to annihilate the eels

'They're in the business of taking souls': Talking points from the Storm’s crushing win over Manly

They beat Parramatta twice when they were in the four only a few weeks back . put over 90 points on them.

I hear what you’re saying about Schuster but think it is a little harsh. He is a super talented kid who will continue to improve. Good coaches get that level of mistake out of a player’s game. Hard for you to improve if you aren’t given a crack and serious game time. 13 may well prove to be his best spot I would say, moving Jurbo is no issue as he plays his heart out no matter which jumper he is handed

Des Hasler's Schuster problem

Agree. Sirronen, good player maybe but he has had as way too many weeks on the sideline. He is off at the end of the year to St Helens which may be a good move for him.

Good luck finding anything in that Woolies if you let these clowns loose!

Did the 'Billy Slater rule' save Parra? Talking points from the Eels' controversial win over the Knights

The ball was kicked after it bounced when Gutherson had clearly lost control. It was a knock on any day of the week. The knights probably would not have got a result anyway but that decision ensured it. The Panthers will make it irrelevant next week by a fair margin as neither side is up to it

Controversial penalty try call helps Eels slither past Knights

It’s silly. A bit like buying a semi trailer as a suburban runabout

A heart-stopping conclusion deserving of finals status: Talking points from the Roosters' last-gasp win over Titans

That was the one that needed attention. The bloke called obstruction all night and yet ignored one Rooster running in to his own man and pass the ball and a human shield for the field goal. It makes no sense at all

A heart-stopping conclusion deserving of finals status: Talking points from the Roosters' last-gasp win over Titans

Maybe they know how long it will actually take the eels to win the next one

My predictions for Week 1 of the NRL finals

As i said, never a fan but where are the 5/8 options for the Wallabies coming from? JOC who appears still injured? Rhys Hodge can fill in but note most creative or Harrison who is worse then Lolesio

CONFIRMED: Quade Cooper returns for Wallabies at No.10, Rodda starts, two debutants

I’ve never been a QC fan but happy he’s replacing Lolesio who isn’t a test standard 5/8

The eels drought hasn’t been 52 years mate they won their last in 1986. That would be 35

My predictions for Week 1 of the NRL finals

You can argue that and that is your opinion. Mine however is that Reed Mahoney has never played anywhere else and looked to be a decent player when he got him so well done on the recruitment bloke, Lane’s game is completely unchanged from when he was hot and cold at Manly or the Dogs. Paulo came back from Canberra a better player if anything, Papalii was a good buy not a player developed at the eels, Gutherson likewise, he just couldn’t get a start ahead of Turbo at Manly but he was already a pretty decent player that was bought not developed , as for Niukore a handy player but hardly a big game player and Moses has the same game than when he was at the tigers

Or those suffering from Stockholm Syndrome??

Manly are the 'People's Team'? You'd better believe it!

He is an attacking weapon but a defence liability unfortunately. If he can sort that in his game he’ll turn out to be a good buy, he’s still quite young after all.

'Loads of points, and tough stuff in the middle': My 2021 All-NRL side

The hatred for DCE is as irrational as it is annoying. If he played for practically any other club he’d be rightly regarded as one of the best. The pile on over his ‘back flip’ ignored Tedesco having done exactly the same around a year earlier when he did it to Canberra. Funny how he missed out on the crowd outrage.

'Loads of points, and tough stuff in the middle': My 2021 All-NRL side

I can’t argue with any selection but for not naming the other 3 on the bench . You cracked the 14 perfectly so why stop there?

'Loads of points, and tough stuff in the middle': My 2021 All-NRL side

Apparently a 3year deal, the only stumbling block is getting a refund on the $50k the Dragons made Manly pay to get Saab. Pretty much a done deal otherwise but wont be announced until after Manly’s finals campaign.. i guess that means October just after GF (hopefully)

The insecurity blanket woven out of others inferiority complexes you mean??

NRL finals Week 1 preview: The quest to stop the Storm

The haters haven’t had their epiphany yet HY, long may it be that way. Siege power

NRL finals Week 1 preview: The quest to stop the Storm

On form I can’t see a 20+ win for the Storm. As a Manly fan i am not confident but I’m convinced there is nowhere near that difference, the scoreline only a couple of weeks ago flattered the Storm, that was a close contest that Manly blew through poor handling, gifting the Storm around 60% of the ball. This is an aspect of the game, where I’m sure the Eagles will improve . Paradoxically you have The Panthers who have practically lapped full strength Bunnies side this season to predict an eight point white knuckle classic?

NRL finals Week 1 preview: The quest to stop the Storm

He hasn’t

Where does Tom Trbojevic's season rank in NRL history?

I see Maguire in the same way as Brad Arthur, competent but no innovation. I can’t think of one player who has improved on their watch. Maguire has weeded out a lot of what he didn’t want before this year and hasn’t really identified anyone in that club to step up. Arthur has recruited some pretty decent talent in his time that are playing no better in his system than they were in their previous clubs.

Brad Arthur would play him in the front row
