Well depends how seriously you take violence against women. I agree with second chances but there hasn’t been enough time for Thomas to prove he deserves a second chance yet. So it feels dirty to think a club would be talking to him now.

AFL is hiding behind player welfare once a player is already using. Totally ignores that AFL has created an environment that reduces consequences of players when they initially start taking drugs.

This testing has shocked a lot of AFL industry people. So it definitely needs airing and we know AFL isn’t beholden to many others, so its good that a parliamentarian raised it. As doubtful the story would have gotten through via traditional media channels.
