Definitely agree the disrespect on the dogs here is a crying shame. They will steal 8th spot I reckon and could give teams like the dons/pies/giants a big scare. Only problem is they can’t play finals at Marvel

A great read, had a smile on my face the whole time – very one-eyed – classic footy fan! Loved your focus on the hair early!

Great point about the Hunger Games Victorian crowd situation! Would promote positive action and raise attendance + quality for sure!
Time for the Tasmanian Devils in the AFL
Considering the vic sides hold like 75% of memberships, and some of the hardest rivalries, you are never gonna see victorian teams fuse.
Auckland, setting aside the distance for teams to fly, imagine being an 18y/o drafted to another country? They’d need a massive salary cap inflation to stay there rather than go home – which didn’t work at Gold Coast. Are we paying them in NZD or AUD? Reverse Cost of Living Allowance for living in a cheaper city?

Time for the Tasmanian Devils in the AFL
I love your bold claim on Brisbane
Their 2018 wasn’t horrible, and now they’ve added classy Neale to some developing young guns (Rayner, Witherden, H Andrews). They lost a handful of games by crumbs last year.
8 wins for Carlton is tripping though – apart from a lacklustre Essendon last year they were years behind the rest of the comp – remember they got pumped twice by Gold coast last year. They added some talent (Walsh is a jet don’t worry) but integrating the new comers into a side with no clear game plan will be a task which Brendon Bolton hasn’t proven himself an adequate coach for.

Why Geelong, Sydney and Hawthorn will miss the finals
Big dons fan, but I’m worried.
Forward line sometimes lacks bite – typically due to poor inside 50 entries
backline relied on players leaving men to intercept and run-off, 6-6-6 could definitely expose this flair as a weakness

Gene your opinion in matters Essendon-based counts for less and less these days
Carlisle can be the AFL's best forward
Calling Essendon cheats is such a poor football opinion to have mate.
Sorry mate can you name that “pretender” who won the Brownlow? Back when our team was admittedly pretty young and inexperienced.
How many Brownlow winners does Hawthorn have right now? 0. good mate
Six tough questions after six rounds of AFL
Mate Essendon are lacking at the minute because in case you hadn’t noticed we had a pretty tough 18 months, which included losing our president and coach. Our depth is just fine: Bellchambers back in, Ryder goes forward and Carlisle goes back, problems solved.
Are you also forgetting how we dusted up the highly touted kangas in round 1 or spanked Carlton by a century? Because I think you are if you are labelling us “average.”

When Bock and Dixon return Suns are gonna go up a gear. They will be almost like the Giants (forward line-wise) with a midfield. Watch out AFL
May is crucial for the Suns' finals hopes
his injury should only last for 12ish weeks. the main thing which would stop him from playing is selection

Bring back the (AFL) State of Origin
Yeah Templeton showed serious talent, but now that he’s injured he may struggle to return to the team. He only got put up for Fisher and by the time Eli is fully fit again, Fisher will have slotted back in. Could be a tough back-half of the season for Eli

The AFL will persist with the GC experiment until it becomes successful, so it is in the interest of all AFL fans that the Suns succeed sooner than later
