No, that’s not the case. The story is essentially the same, just an update to the earlier report. To have two stories such as this on the same page of the website would be more confusing, so I consider it the lesser of two evils. I do apologise for the confusion.

Bring back the Bears: A million reasons why they're needed right here and not PNG

From a English born Queenslander who has lived in NSW for 24 years and once went to Kiev for the worst wedding ever, I don’t really understand why this is so triggering, but out of respect have edited it out.

Hey guys

thanks for pointing out the error around Ben Gunter, and therefore the error in the headline. Yes htis was produced via AAP and we took their headline, without fact checking it.

I have called AAP to let them know of the error now as well.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

I asked DR about it on the press call. It’s weird, his statement makes it clear he wants QC on tour. He also said he would consider a partial tour from him. I’ll have a full story up asap.

DR on Quade: Situation not resolved with the European tour. Interesting this one. DR says he wants him to tour, the regs say he’s available and yet still no resolution.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on Izaia Perese. He’s explosive and quick. We’re trying to get him match fit and try to sharpen him up. There’s a bit to get used to from a structure point of view. We thought this week was a little bit close.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on Kerevi: He was close. If it was next week he would have been right. On Paisami: He’s explosive and not a lot changes. He’s sloted in nicely. We think it will be seamless.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on Rob Leota return at 6: He’s a big man, 118kg, he’ll carry well for us. Good athlete, good skill set. We were happy with him, changed the mix to give Sean McMahon a run and Pete Samu a start. We like Pete on the bench.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on only 4 changes: We think this is a good combination for Japan. The plan is to pick the best side available each week. James O’Connor looking as sharp as he’s seen in a while.

DR on Jordie P fitness: “Pyhsically he’s really good. When you start you have a bigger load through the week. We’re looking into why he cramped so badly (last game). It gives us more flexibiity with him on bench.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on what he wants from his hookers, having used so many: Folau has shown the way recently, sometimes it’s a point of diff. We like Lchie Lonergan, he gets an off season to put on size and strength. Connal has a real presence. It’s wide open. It’s a great opportunity for a couple of hookers.

WALLABIES TEAM CONFIRMED: Kerevi injury paves way for Paisami return, Brumbies hooker set for debut

DR on Tom Wright v Jordie Petaia. We anticipate it will be a quick game, we’re not convinced JP would go 80. For the best balance we want him off the bench

DR: On Connal McInerny: ‘Really good set piece. Thought it important here. Good post tackle presence, been with us a bit, came in got knocked out, had an ankle injury that he’s rehabbed. It’s really exciting for him and his family.’
