No this is Rugby Championship squad… But it would probably need an injury to Ben Smith or J Barrett for Havilli to force his way in later this year.

All Blacks name 39-man squad for Rugby Championship

Hope Nonu can quickly cement himself at 2nd five/inside centre because his decisions on when to kick and when to crash into contact are more developed than SBW’s. Should help young Perafeta steer the back line. Can SBW play outside centre and stay uninjured for once?
Auckland winning the Mitre 10 comp in 2018, after a decade of failure, will inspire the younger players stepping up from domestic rugby.
Expecting better organisation under Leon McDonald … Finishing tenth?

Super Rugby 2019 preview series: Blues

The All Blacks captain is on a million per year, no one else… The current wallabies are hugely overpaid relative to their achievements. But so are RA executives.

What Rugby Australia must learn from New Zealand

His late swing was deadly against the SL tail… They looked completely lost.

Boult rips through Sri Lanka with 6 wickets in 15 balls

NZ accounting for 80% of the world’s 1080 poison drops is also why NZ is also the world leader in restorative conservation. 1080 is specifically a mammal killing poison, perfect for killing all our introduced feral forest pests: rats cats possums stoats deer goats pigs etc. Without 1080 the forests would be stripped bare and our flightless birds would be extinct in the wild. NZ biologists now teach other countries including Aus and Hawaii how to eradicate rodents from precious offshore sanctuaries, with huge success.
Yes I’ve worked in wildlife biology all my life, with Masters in Zoology.

Kangaroos vs Kiwis just a warm up for the Mate Ma’a Tonga clash

If last Saturday’s test was the Kangaroos warm up for playing the mighty Tongans, then it was a dismal warm up wasn’t it … What will Tonga do to that limp waisted AUS forward pack ? ????????

Kangaroos vs Kiwis just a warm up for the Mate Ma’a Tonga clash

Exactly right , this inexperienced Aussie line up is a nonsense excuse … The kiwi backline was greener than Spring grass… Plus Roger TVS, Their best player and backline leader was missing , balancing the absence of GI.
Their forward dominance was total… And that will have to be fixed quickly to stop Tonga.
Mal will at least have no complacency at training this week. He has had a very easy ride for years as QLD and Kangaroos coach with great players and even greater rusted-on combinations at his disposal… this will be a test for him to craft something new.

Are the all-conquering Kangaroos on the decline?

Absolutely… 3 NZ tries disallowed by the bunker… “Chasing at shadows” as Gould eloquently said.. looking for reasons to save the kangaroos from a hammering!

The Robin Hood of sports reaches for its quiver

No it would of diluted the wallabies and UK sides…. The Polynesians playing for NZ are mostly NZ born raised and schooled … unlike those playing for Aus Ireland France etc

The Robin Hood of sports reaches for its quiver

I disagree… To have club congrats to the their guys playing for kangaroos and junior kangaroos and junior kiwis, but pointedly ignore their guys playing for Tonga and PNG smacks of incompetence at least… and racism at worst. I just hope it’s the former… Swift kick up the backside needed at Sharks management…

Angry Fifita turns sights on Sharks

Very good chance he’ll be spending some off season behind bars, hopefully with his brother for company …

The Wrap: Truth the first casualty in rugby’s propaganda wars

That’s nonsense Akita knows he’s in the frame as utility cover for 6 and 8 if there’s any more injuries… Remember NZ played 2011 WC final with the 4th choice flyhalf and could easily play the 2019 final with 5th or 6th choice loosie if more injuries or head knocks occur in 2019.

The Wrap: Truth the first casualty in rugby’s propaganda wars

Totally… just as Brad Thorn has little understanding of back play, but should recognise that deficiency and employ an assistant who does.

Why is Michael Cheika playing Russian roulette with his career?

Totally agree… Not a deep thinker… Certainly no tactician.

Why is Michael Cheika playing Russian roulette with his career?

Brief and to the point Mapu

Will a rivalry resume, or the Wee Boklings revert?

Yeah they’re replacing him with that kid Reiko at 11 instead … so no problem for Keil at all ????

With the Springboks side announced, there are some surprises

No that wouldn’t be reasonable because when BBB defends in the front line, he rarely misses… The reason he is often instructed to hang out wide is to be in position for the lightening fast counter. He also drops back to be sweeper/ fullback on defense for the the same reason. Speed.
Note he drops back more often late in the game, when the heavy defense has faded. But takes the front line tackles early in the game when the battle is tighter.

Tough to make a strong defence for Grey’s Wallabies gig

Correct

Back in All Black: NZ whip Wallabies in Bledisloe 1, Folau injured

Wallaroos have had to make a lot of tackles. Ferns game plan looks simple… Hold the ball for multiple phases until the defenders start to tire.

Wallaroos vs Black Ferns: Women’s Test Rugby live scores, blog

Well league fans have had plenty of chances to watch NZ beat the Kangaroos, both in world cups and four nations tournaments over the last 16 years. The kiwi league team has done much better than the wallabies on the big stage – this century at least.

Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe Cup Game 1 preview and prediction

Very interesting to read about young Ainsley replacing Thor on the bench. Didn’t realize he was an Otago Boys product …plenty of great forwards have come out of there… What a Debut for him… Will have to watch his face during the haka. ?

Wallabies vs All Blacks Bledisloe Cup Game 1 preview and prediction

I agree Cantab … Battle of the new centre combos… But if Crotty can stay on the paddock and avoid anymore HIAs… Then Goodhue should be able to shine.
The Wallabys centres are easily good enough to prove me wrong – if they can fire.
