Born in Highlanders country, but now living in far north tropical realm of the Reds, where the cult of Thurston, Smith and Billy the Kid is still strong!

As well as poor defense, the Reds seemed surprised that there was a wet slippery ball… The Whangarei downpour yesterday had been forecast all week ( when the massive storm system left Sydney and crossed the Tasman) so how were they so unprepared for wet weather rugby???

'Brain explosion': Wallaby stars sent off as Queensland left red-faced in Moana Pasifika shocker

Wow what century are you living in Coker???
I suppose you think Dr Farah Palmer ( both Maori and female ) doesn’t deserve her place on the board… Just a world cup winning captain and stalwart of both Waikato and Otago club rugby… What does she know about grass roots rugby? More than most of the blokes commenting here, for a start.

'Calls for the board to resign are a distraction': NZR rejects Players Association recommendation

Well that predidiction didnt age well 😂 Kiwis looking a much more controlled and balanced side than the Kangaroos – especially in defense, keeping Samoa scoreless 😱

Ryles considers himself a likely successor to Bellamy… I’m not sure that anyone else does … Except Unsteady Eddie spruiking one of his mates !

RWC News: Eddie's surprise new Wallabies coach revealed, fresh scare for ABs, Richie fumes at 'slap in the face'

They’ve been known to question his game plans… The league guys don’t know the laws or tactics, so they ain’t gonna challenge Rugby’s little Napoleon.

Will hasn’t played 80 mins in his life … He should be coming off the bench as a “finisher”

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

Yes last week we all were meant to believe in a young lively upcoming captain. He’s the future, okay… This week the captain is a powerful but slow lock who struggles to play 30 mins at full pace. Eddie are you smelling burnt toast, been checked for a stroke recently ??? Or is this blind panic.

Shock and raw: New skipper, rookies galore and Test careers brutally ended as Eddie's RWC bombshells CONFIRMED

Exactly one big hit on Carter G. in the first match and and the whole Wallabies campaign is in jeopardy… And the back-up 10 struggled to keep his place in the Warratahs. This is not clever or calculated risk taking… It’s foolish ego by a coach desperate to rebrand the national team in his own image… And desperate to send as the new broom… And dam the consequences.

Two had Maori AB test caps, not full AB caps. The other made the extended AB training squad of 42 I think?

'Dad doesn't want me to bloody play for Scotland!' - But Ex-Wallaby completes switch, Finn Russell snubbed

ahhh that’s the same kangaroos who are currently ranked fourth in the world – as they should be, after dropping their last international matches to both NZ and Tonga …
The Biggest League match this week is NZ versus Tonga (world number 1 versus number 2) in a sold-out Akld Stadium. Australia has a fair bit of work to do to get back to number 1.

So what if many Pacific stars were born in Australia or NZ: International rugby league is the winner

Looking forward to watching a recorded version of this match … sounds great

Highlanders spoil Drua homecoming in thriller, but incredible atmosphere steals the show

Except NZ will exert much tighter control (ie listen to the science). Just compare NZ’s control of two 2021 delta outbreaks to a lack of control in Sydney and Melbourne.
No comparison.

'Only responsible decision': Another setback as Moana Pasifika debut delayed again

No this is Rugby Championship squad… But it would probably need an injury to Ben Smith or J Barrett for Havilli to force his way in later this year.

All Blacks name 39-man squad for Rugby Championship

Hope Nonu can quickly cement himself at 2nd five/inside centre because his decisions on when to kick and when to crash into contact are more developed than SBW’s. Should help young Perafeta steer the back line. Can SBW play outside centre and stay uninjured for once?
Auckland winning the Mitre 10 comp in 2018, after a decade of failure, will inspire the younger players stepping up from domestic rugby.
Expecting better organisation under Leon McDonald … Finishing tenth?

Super Rugby 2019 preview series: Blues

The All Blacks captain is on a million per year, no one else… The current wallabies are hugely overpaid relative to their achievements. But so are RA executives.

What Rugby Australia must learn from New Zealand

His late swing was deadly against the SL tail… They looked completely lost.

Boult rips through Sri Lanka with 6 wickets in 15 balls

NZ accounting for 80% of the world’s 1080 poison drops is also why NZ is also the world leader in restorative conservation. 1080 is specifically a mammal killing poison, perfect for killing all our introduced feral forest pests: rats cats possums stoats deer goats pigs etc. Without 1080 the forests would be stripped bare and our flightless birds would be extinct in the wild. NZ biologists now teach other countries including Aus and Hawaii how to eradicate rodents from precious offshore sanctuaries, with huge success.
Yes I’ve worked in wildlife biology all my life, with Masters in Zoology.

Kangaroos vs Kiwis just a warm up for the Mate Ma’a Tonga clash

If last Saturday’s test was the Kangaroos warm up for playing the mighty Tongans, then it was a dismal warm up wasn’t it … What will Tonga do to that limp waisted AUS forward pack ? ????????

Kangaroos vs Kiwis just a warm up for the Mate Ma’a Tonga clash

Exactly right , this inexperienced Aussie line up is a nonsense excuse … The kiwi backline was greener than Spring grass… Plus Roger TVS, Their best player and backline leader was missing , balancing the absence of GI.
Their forward dominance was total… And that will have to be fixed quickly to stop Tonga.
Mal will at least have no complacency at training this week. He has had a very easy ride for years as QLD and Kangaroos coach with great players and even greater rusted-on combinations at his disposal… this will be a test for him to craft something new.

Are the all-conquering Kangaroos on the decline?

Absolutely… 3 NZ tries disallowed by the bunker… “Chasing at shadows” as Gould eloquently said.. looking for reasons to save the kangaroos from a hammering!
