Yep. In with the old, out with the young. Fancy being a young fella drafted by the Cats! Not much future there.

Isaac Smith announces shock move to Geelong

Only had 5 shots on goal and kicked 4. Obviously had a day out ’cause that exceeds his 48% kicking efficiency. Must have got lucky.

The inevitable truth: No-one had a chance against Dustin Martin

You may scoff. Fact is Geelong get to train on their quirky, cra##y ground several times a week. What a leg up. No-one else ever sees a ground that shape . . . until they venture down to Geelong. Over a season they probably have 100 or more, likely, sessions there. MCG tenants, and Docklands tenants only see their ‘home’ grounds on game days. Cats were lucky KP didn’t get axed during the rationalisation period, Should have been.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Yeah . . . like the ball! He’s got it on a string.

The inevitable truth: No-one had a chance against Dustin Martin

Geez. What a sad, sad situation. I’ve been as guilty as anyone, in fact more than most, when it comes to bagging The CFC, Bucks, Eddie, the Treloar trade . . . anything Collingwood related. Yet this brings no pleasure whatsoever. Really shattered for the kid and hope he is able to get over this and move on and find a club that genuinely has his best interests at heart. You won’t find me bagging Adam Treloar ever again! But Collingwood? Stay tuned.

Collingwood and Treloar - sorry for the three flags you missed Ads but we seem to have overspent

Heard this theory before but yet to really see it. Last time Tigers played WC they ‘lined up on each other’ but didn’t actually play on each other. Hardly a run with role by Yeo who is a terrific ball hunter who often lost Dusty in pursuit of the Sherrin. Both got plenty of the ball but Dusty had more influence on the result. The only players I’ve seen keep Dusty quiet, and frustrated, are Levi Greenwood several times, De Boer once or twice and Recently ex-teammate, Reece Conca.

The inevitable truth: No-one had a chance against Dustin Martin

And they were quicker than Geelong’s Dads Army. Sign ’em up, Cats.

Hilarious vision reveals two guards' Gabba-long, totally pointless dash to deal with streakers

Yes. I’m laughing for all the reasons you put forward. To somehow cheapen our achievements is petty nitpicking of the highest degree. As for this notion of the talent pool being diluted . . . what an absolute crock! Haven’t done the count but the Tigers premiership side contained players from the rookie draft, overlooked players from the VFL and SANFL, a mid season draft, geez even a Cat B rookie last year! Get out there and find them.

Missing from the Richmond dynasty? A legitimate rival

Exactly. Once upon a time umpires never looked at stats before allocating votes. Now? Little wonder the brownlow has become a midfielder’s medal.

My major midweek takeaways from the 2020 AFL grand final

We got the ‘good Dow’ too. Collier-Dawkins will get his chance. The one I’m most interested in long term is Coleman-Jones. Could be anything if the stars align. Time, though, for Ryan Garthwaite to be thanked and moved on.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Of course, but perhaps it’s time to buck the trend. Been up for 4 years, I know, but the young guys on our list give good reason to be excited.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Really bad position for him to be in. I’ve actually warmed to him a bit for his work on AFL360. Obviously, and openly, loves the CFC. Can only think he’d be feeling confused and somewhat angry.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Yeah, fair enough. A coach scorned perhaps. Sad if that’s his motivation.

Hollow Collingwood celebrations show where we truly stand

I reckon there’s till room for improvement and that they’ll give it a decent crack. Plenty of talent watched from the stands and will put pressure on the incumbents for spots next year.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

To the eye of the beholder! Plenty of better judges than you and I think they’re a joy to watch.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

To be fair, Duncan and Stewart really didn’t do much in the second half and therefore didn’t earn an 8 or 9. Dahlhaus? Played on a bloke who’d done a calf early in the game and really had little output for mine. Reckon they got it about right.

AFL grand final player ratings: Geelong Cats

What is all too often forgotten in this argument is that Richmond, and other co-tenants, are not allowed to train at the MCG.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

You did have Danger in the middle for the 4th quarter, starting only 2 points down, yet he had no influence. No certainty it would have achieved anything in the 3rd. More likely Cats recruiting not as good as previous days. I mean Rohan? Dalhaus? Steven? Why wouldn’t you play your kids instead of these flakes? Been hearing about Constable’s development season after season yet he never seems to get a crack of any decent length. Cats may lose him and a couple of others who just don’t get game time, Scott preferring to use his Dad’s Army and Foreign Legion. Leg speed a real concern for the Cats when the whips are cracking.

No fairytale farewell flag for Gaz as Richmond make it a lucky baker's dozen

That’s proof that stats are a blight on the game. Does it follow that he played the 5th most influential role in a GF in the last 5 years? Not even in the conversation.

My major midweek takeaways from the 2020 AFL grand final

What’s with the alleged claim that Treloar can be ‘difficult to coach sometimes’? Surely the coaches need to adapt to meet the needs of such a wide range of personalities that make up a team. Is it a bogus claim or an inappropriate response from someone at the Pies when put under pressure? I fear for this bloke’s mental state if things go further south. Maybe there is still room for him across at Punt Road, close enough for him to poke his tongue out at those responsible for this mess though the back ended contract would be a huge concern, for any club.

Hollow Collingwood celebrations show where we truly stand

Yeah, I get it. Funny bugger.

Hollow Collingwood celebrations show where we truly stand

I’m actually shattered for the lad, PtS. What in the heck are Collingwood doing?

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

The ‘meathead’ comment says more about you than Dusty, Squiggly. I’m betting he’s achieved more than you.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Maybe. Having ‘a Dusty’ in their team would have made it a certainty, Don.

Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn or Richmond: Which dynasty has been the best?

Just to be considered amongst these teams is enough, really. Different eras/games though. Probably Brisbane for mine but wouldn’t argue too heatedly.
