Old man kangaroo no longer living in the wilds of New York, but returned home in 2020 to find pastures burned and a virulent pox upon the land. Captained the school 14D rugby team in the last century and moved himself from 2nd row to the safety of the centres.

Jeznez, you obviously wrote this before the update. I think it is significant that he has taken a contract for 25 and 26, leaving a possibility he could return to rugby in 2027. And possibly a better, more experienced player by then.
And i’m also pleased to see the return of Reilly. He left before he had a real chance to show his ability.

Done deal: Wallabies star signs with NRL powerhouse in brutal reality check for RA at start of 'golden decade'

Great. Thanks for that JF.

'Took me three years to find one': Prized recruit hits ground running as Tahs boss cools Wallaby hype

JF, you seem to know about Amatosero as a lineout jumper. Someone above was asking about that. Is he good? If so the Tahs have a very promising lineout for 2024 with him, Hanigan, Holloway, Swinton. (And Lee-Warner?)

'Took me three years to find one': Prized recruit hits ground running as Tahs boss cools Wallaby hype

I assumed he meant hourly on the hour.

COMPLETE SRP 2024 squads: Rebels the big movers, Tahs build depth, Reds shore up front-row

Rugby Australia should immediately offer to bring his whole family to Australia and pay him a lot to work with the Wallabies and the SRP teams and the local coaches. We followers bemoan the ill discipline of our players and the lack of pathways for referees. This would be a step forward for rugby in Oz. Not sure he’d want to work for RA though.

'Just a game, k---heads': Why world's top rugby ref has decided to give the game away

Harry wan’t picking a World Top XV, Bliksem. He was picking a team of the tournament. And it is notable that DuPont was playing in that tournament with a recently broken jaw.

RWC Team of the tournament: Six Boks, three All Blacks and an Aussie manages to knock out Will Jordan

Always look on the bright side?

'Completely unfair': Eddie sledge that angered Waugh, new coaching contenders emerge to rebuild Wallabies

It was an attempted crucifixion by posters on here KCOL. I did see at least one poster who wished EJ would go away and die. BTW I’m not implying EJ is a JC figure.

'Completely unfair': Eddie sledge that angered Waugh, new coaching contenders emerge to rebuild Wallabies

So can we now focus on the future and forget the crucifixion of Eddie?

I don’t know if cancelling your subscription to Stan equals cancelling your interest in the Wallabies and rugby. But if that is the case, then that qualifies as being a fair weather friend. I’m not going to stop supporting the Wallabies just because they are going through a bad patch. And I’m not going to stop watching rugby, even if the Wallabies remain in a bad patch.
I’ve been reading this site for about 12 years now and commenting for about 7, and I can’t remember a time when there was so much negativity about both the coach and the Wallabies. It seems now that everyone here is just piling on. What’s done is done and we observers can’t do anything about it. People should be thinking about what’s next. (Thank you W Evans.)
I am, unbelievably, still up in the air about Eddie Jones. I actually believe that he thought he could pull off a miracle by doing what he did. He was wrong. But I am not yet able to believe the conspiracy theorists, who say this was his plan all along. I’ve heard too many players and people who know him say how intensely committed to winning he is.

Eddie Jones quits as Wallabies coach - 'Sometimes you have to eat s--t for others to eat caviar'

“I guarantee no one up north gives two hoots what a SA, NZ or Aus journo has to say…and why would they?”
I can think of a couple of reasons why a person might want to read what someone from another country writes about a game of rugby. It might be entertaining. It might bring a different unbiased point of view – one that does not necessarily stoke your confirmation bias. You never can tell.

WORLD VIEW: 'Disgrace'- strange slap for Boks coaches after 'beautifully ugly' 'shambles' of a World Cup final

Oh dear. We have to depend on the Mail??!!

RWC News: Bongi set to play final despite WR investigation, Boks and All Blacks react to racist slur allegations

Chronicle, I agree that this is an opinion site, but even in an opinion site you’d expect an opinion to be backed by some evidence. Otherwise the site would get overrun by flat earthers. Although there are times when I think that might have already happened.

Player ratings: Skelton, Tupou Wallabies' best despite Donno's day out in World Cup opener

Revok, you need to contact the management and coaches at La Rochelle and tell them that he is a fat, overweight, waddling Sumo wrestler. They don’t seem to have noticed. Saracens didn’t catch on either. Or Eddie Jones (as you have noted).

RWC News: Eddie turns screw on ref, claims Wallabies' 'huge pack can dominate World Cup'

Hijikata played well. At least as well as he played in the first round. His inside out forehand is a real weapon. So is his footwork and his speed. Without taking anything away from him, it seemed Fucsovics was eternally half a step slow. Maybe he didn’t recover well from his first round match – it lasted about 4 1/2 hours. But then Hijikata’s went for nearly 4.
Hijikata now gets to play Zhang who beat 5th seed Casper Ruud in about 3 1/2 hours. That’s about 90 minutes more than Hijikata played, so maybe, just maybe, Rinky could get into the last 16!

Red-hot Rinky advances in style with watershed win but Swiatek dashes spirited Saville's US Open hopes

Rinky Hijikata’s win was impressive for his focus and calmness. I only saw the “mini-match” replay on Stan, but it seemed to me that he always seemed to be able to get himself back into the set quickly when he was in trouble. He was behind a service break 3 or 4 times and, except for the 2nd set, each time he broke back almost immediately. I was impressed by his ability to “problem solve” too. At the start he was playing exclusively from the baseline and getting burned by Kotov’s (very big) forehand. So about half way through the 1st set he started approaching the net a bit where his volleying prowess (see Aus Open doubles 2023) took time away from Kotov. His next round isn’t easy – Fucsovics who had a 5 set win over 31st seed Sebastian Korda – but he has to be a chance on this form.

Bourkos, assuming that was a serious question – you’ll find the squad listed via the link at the top of this page – “Wallabies Squad”.

Eddie to resist last-minute Wallabies RWC changes despite injury clouds, Samu opens up on axing

Gary, Bell can do pretty much everything else, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he can kick.

Eddie has done what was needed four years ago and ripped the bandaid off. Now he's breathed life into Aussie rugby

Peter, it’s not just identity politics, but cherry picking. To give you cherry picking in the other direction I give you, terrence: Hodge, Ikitau, Ala’alatoa – for their selection status and the way Roarers have responded to their situations.

Wallabies fans appear comfortable with 0 and 4 – but some obvious questions remain

Paddy Boy, “just being professional for 80 minutes.” – you just described Len Ikitau. His (serious) injury is probably the worst outcome of this match.

Studs and duds: Carter's 'brave' step up, Cheik hails 'bloody handful' as Marky nails WC spot, Wright gets it wrong

Thanks for the eyewitness report, Dave. It was particularly pleasing to get a report about Leota, as we have not heard anything about him all season because of his injury. In fact, I wasn’t even sure that he was training with the squad yet.
I’m a little concerned, though, about your eyesight. A number of “experts“ here have told us that Tupou is topping 170 kg. They must know mustn’t they? Perhaps you were wearing the wrong glasses. ????
Also, was Tom Hooper training atCoogee? Someone above pointed out that the Brumbies were supposed to be given the week off.

Donaldson in as EIGHT uncapped players picked: Co-captains named for Wallabies as Eddie's first squad revealed

Yes Nick, that’s true. What I found difficult was “removing the compensation patterns.” As conscious as I was of that need, something deep down kept telling me “Take care!”

Exclusive: Eddie rules Wallabies lock out of World Cup after latest injury setback

Nick, it’s more than habit. A large part is subconscious fear of hurting it again. I experienced it when I tore a meniscus in my knee – after it was physically recovered I still hesitated to run full speed on it on the tennis court. And Tupou admitted to that feeling – I think it was an interview earlier this week on The Roar. Or maybe it was Quade??

Exclusive: Eddie rules Wallabies lock out of World Cup after latest injury setback

Geoff, after I wrote that, it occurred to me that I watch and enjoy Roland Garros and NBA despite having no “tribal” interest in the result. I totally agree with what you are saying about the different cohorts of fans – Rugby fans, “my team” fans & “a bit of both” fans.

The Wrap: Super Rugby’s semi-final cream rises to the top

Geoff, “ But you missed a couple of ripping games.” That’s exactly why Tahs fans (me) cannot be excused for checking out. Even if for no other reason than there is still one good Australian team left. But we have have promise of 3 more ripping games.
