The scary thing about this game is that the French can play better! Some really poor choices going for goal when they should have attacked, I reckon they left 3-4 tries on the pitch. People seem to forget, the wallabies really should have beaten the ABs in that last game. ABs just lucky they don’t have Scotland in their pool, otherwise they would not be progressing. To me, no real game plan, I never felt watching the game that the ABs were going to win. How Razor isn’t the coach just boggles me, best coach in the world and you have some guy that dishes out that game plan?? The board all should be sacked! The French, South Africa are the teams to beat. Ireland is the other, but not sure they can play a game that can beat those 2. Really looking forward to watching Georgia play! Wallabies vs Georgia will be a cracker of a game! If it does happen to rain, Georgia have a huge chance of an upset, but that not looking likely. Great start to the tournament though!

Agree!! Cowboys were up for it. Where has that been all season? Very confusing turnaround. Did not see it coming.
But the Roosters?
They tried, but the attack looks very ordinary, they need a new attacking coach! What they a dishing up at the moment, just stinks! Very predictable and easy to defend against.
Personally I think what they need is a good ol’fashioned week of training from Warren Ryan!!

I look from a far and still cannot believe what is happening to the All Blacks.
The board simply got it wrong and you know sh!t happens! BUT when you realise you have made a mistake… rectify it and do it quickly. This is the real issue. The board has no ticker. The board must go and that means Mr Robinson should be the first to go.
People make mistakes. but when you realise you have made that mistake, fix it.
Clearly Foster was the safe option, been in the fold for years, knew the system etc. But the board should have been asking themselves “was he the man that was going to win the next WC”, big changing of the guard, European teams closing the gap, Razor winning championships he had no right to….. In the end they took the safe option, which now they are paying the price for.
The simple answer to all of this is that the board has to go immediately, Foster needs to go, Razor in and to raise the money for this, every kiwi needs to transfer $1 to pay for this. There is not a kiwi I know they wouldn’t transfer the $1 to make this happen.
Please Mr Robinson, please resign.

No comments on Munster’s hit on Walker? Thought, fine at minimum. If Walker stays down, Roosters get penalty…. But plays on as he’s not instructed to try and milk penalties like the Storm players!

Its his main game plan, just watch the way they play, they try to manipulate the ref anyway they can to get penalties. Its why he failed as an origin coach… as the refs in origin don’t give penalties out!!!

cmon, basically all favourites! When has that happened this year. Manly’s season is gone, split team…. Titans are absolute specials. Raiders were absolutely hopeless last weekend, all the attention has been directed at Ricky and not the Raiders themselves. Dragons will blow them off the park.
Agree Broncos and sharks will win by a lot. Roosters vs Cowboys will be a cracker. But not only am I tipping a Roosters win, Roosters will win the flag this year and the only team that can stop them is the Rabbits. Souths vs Parramatta will be a good game, but Souths will get up. Big upset this weekend is the Warriors to get over the Bulldogs, at home I think they will go ok. Storm vs the Panthers….. this is more a 50/50 game. Panthers going well without their reg halves, Storm getting better. flip of the coin… lets go Storm!

Micheal, couple of points.
Not only are successful teams coached to do this, but they are coached well to do this. What I mean by this, is that good club retention and recruitment look at the players ability to be able to be coached in this way. Some players are just not bright or too hot headed to do this. Clubs like Melbourne do not recruit these players and if they happen to get through, they let them go.
Melbourne are the guns at slowing down the ruck and its no surprise they are the most successful club over the last decade. Ol’Cameron Smith was basically the referee out there, he had such a great football brain, I think the refs were a little scared of him…..
Winning of the ruck speed goes a very long way to winning the game and referees don’t usually continue to penalise for it. Simple; they have been told to let the game flow and to try and keep the penalty count low. (its what the fans want). Therefore smart coaches slow the ruck down and it gives them an edge. Until a direction comes from the top, we will continue to see the game played this way. If you want to see how a game should be played, watch the girls play. Its so much cleaner in the ruck area because they have not (yet) been coached to wrestle and hold the player down.

It wasn’t the game plan! Every team would have beaten the Roosters tonight; even Manly!!
The forwards did not turn up, except maybe Collins. Personally I think they are a little soft; they don’t hunt as a pack. They play the game as individuals. I think JWH unfortunately has seen better days; could be time for him to retire.
I watched the Tigers vs Storm game; even though it was over, the Tigers kept throwing everything they had at the Storm, keeping the ball alive, trying to score… the roosters did not, they had no ideas, they just expected to win and were waiting on the knights to make mistakes.
That mentality will not win you any games this year; the teams are a lot more evenly matched; look at a lot of the tries this round; a lot come from second phase play! You have to get the opposition out of their comfort zone defensively.
I know it’s early days; but I was very disappointed with the Roosters; I’d have to say one of the worst displays I have ever seen.
Should be a cracker of a game against Manly! You don’t want to be the loser of that game!!

Really? Roosters very over rated, offered nothing in attack. Nothing new in attack, tried hard, but no new ideas. Need a new coach, Robos time has to be up.
