I don’t know if Georgia will be a real test. The game we played against them at the RWC, we were pretty average, but they were worse. At the moment, i’m hoping the Ponies just keep on improving. Will be good to have Len and Alan back soon hopefully.
Five things: Lesson Aussie rugby can learn from Kiwis - and why next month will determine whether SR gap has closed
Looking forward to a good game and great win for the Brumbies on Saturday! Bit of extra meaning for both teams with table position.
Super Rugby Women’s Week Five teams: Force set for club history, Wallaroos return for Brumbies, Reds last-ditch dash for finals
Think we have some high missed tackle stats for this year, but getting better. Good scrambling defence though, as have not had many tries against us. Chiefs game was bad for us
Brumbies make it 12 straight against Tahs as Bell hobbles off in worrying sign for Wallabies
I thought maybe a bit slow too at first, there was a good video on here that showed it but Roar taken it down now. Rebels number 12 got across and slowed him that let Carter catch up (Stan got it wrong saying it was Leota). Thought it was a decent run, for a 10.
Five things we learned: Aussies given early Super Rugby warning, Lolesio's timely reminder
Yeah, good point, I’d def add Stephen Moore. I think that Mowen came here and had a couple of good seasons that got him Wallaby gold. Hoiles was handy but i liked Peter Ryan better.

Why do you think he’s slow? I agree his defence still needs some work, but def getting better.

Don’t waste your time. So many people told him. 😂

I think Slips, Pete Samu and David Pocock, are the only three players i can think of that have come to us as experienced top shelf players, and stayed for a long time.

Don’t get me wrong. I thought that Rob was good, always takes a few out of play!
The Wrap: Opening round of SRP a case of the more things change, the more they stay the same
Thanks Geoff, I’ll always take a 27 point win to start the season. Thought Noah played well, was nice that try that he set up for Corey Toole (can’t buy natural pace) – lulled Talakai into thinking he had him covered, then scooted around the outside. Charlie Cale is a handy player, stood up well and nice to have him as a good lineout option also. Thought Nick Frost was also handy. Rob V looked a bit tired, but he did have a more limited preseason. Rhys Van Nek was a bit of a penalty magnet though this game (was it four that he got?). Will be a big game against the Chiefs down in Melbourne on Sunday – wish i could be there – it’s a great weekend with lots of footy. Can’t wait.
Enjoyed the Reds and Waratahs game as a neutral. Was a bit loose at times and each made the other pay for it, but was entertaining.

I’m a Brumbies supporter and an happy with the score.

Except Leota didn’t. Lolesio ran over 50m, and it was the Rebels inside centre that got a hand on him to slow him down.

I agree with these a bit and mentioned it on Rugby Pass. Why are fans going to turn up when the headlines focus on misery around rugby. It’s not just about Wallabies last year and Rebels now. Too much complaining. Ref ruins game, he’s paid too much, goes on an on. Made a conscious decision to not rubbish refs, focus on good plays and let the other stuff wash over when i’m talking about it with mates.
Not just the headlines/reporting though – plenty of commentary.

Did some good work but was a slow start. Plenty of walking between resets, but I don’t mind that, save your energy for the tough bits. Definitely a first game back for him! I thought in defence we looked like we had so much time and had such a good structure

Corey Toole has some serious pace. Noah had a pretty good first game and Charlie Cale a good game, loved Slips telling him at half time he needed to do more. Great old head psych.
Frosty a very nice line out game too.

Was sad that the crowd wasn’t there. Such a late start for them selling tickets though.

Thanks David, its an interesting article, and some individual clubs do some of these well – although then you also sometimes get a Collingwood netball outcome . I’m happy to stay a separate entity, and away from an overreliance on gambling and alcohol revenue.
10 reasons league and union should merge to become One Rugby - and give AFL nightmares
Some good players across the 50. I’m looking forward to see how Corey Toole can take it up a notch this year – he had a great first year with tries and metres made etc.

Gee thanks for putting the mockers on us!
Super Rugby tipping panel week 1: Brumbies to sweep Rebels, cliffhanger brewing between Tahs and Reds
Thanks for the article. Looking forward to this year for the Brumbies. A lot of fringe players got a run last year and will be better for it. Was interesting to hear Brumbies assistant coach Rod Seib recently where he talked about building on the things that got the Brumbies to the finals, so they can go further. So much Rugby conversation in Aus is baby and bathwater stuff.
The work-on and upside of every Aussie Super Rugby team - and why they bode well for Joe Schmidt
Thanks Hugh, go the Brumbies! Shame the season is almost over.
Super Rugby W has been the most competitive to date but can anyone stop the in-form Tahs in the semifinals?
