I agree, he’s no star stud by any stretch of the imagination. However, he’s most definitely an upgrade over Raymond Felton as a reserve point guard.
What I’m mainly contending here is that Schroder adds a much needed punch off the bench for the Thunder that they’ve seemed to lack. Patterson, Ferguson, Abrines and Noel all have their talents, but none can reliably create their own shot or create for others consistently, and I think this is the important ability that Schroder adds to the team. If he can settle into the role, I expect the bench play of the Thunder to improve, especially when compared to seasons past.
