Totally with you here. There is so much more improvement in the Aussie set up compared to the ABs. Once they’re more used to playing at this level with this sort of pressure Rennie’s natural off loading and counter attacking game will bed in.
Simone will become a revelation and his centre pairing with Petaia will rival Little and Horan’s. The necessity of experienced heads like Toomua’s was in evidence though. Unlike Simmons. Anyone but him please.
The scrum and line out were solid. The halves pairing is going well. The building blocks are solid and in place.

Can’t wait to see your analysis of how Rennie’s keep-ball tactics and targeting of Mounga outwitted the ABs’ (lack of) brains trust.

Why South Africa was right to move north

Hi there McChook,
Tend to agree with the majority opinion that it’s hugely unlikely that the Lions will win the series but I do believe they can if the stars align, they get no more significant injuries etc. If they do, it’ll be based on what Eddie Jones did with England to Australia last year. Dominate up front, natch, kick very well, chase even better and be real killers at putting points on the board when on offer. Simple really. hehe.

Kiwi kings confused in Christchurch

My problem is I tend to pay too much attention to the comments after the articles and there were plenty there on various sites promising a Crusaders’ hiding for the tourists.
Seems to me the Crusaders were put under more pressure than they were able to handle.

But nor could the Crusaders, so it was enough on the night.
