I’d Bring in Warner and Maxwell. Australia is getting too bogged down with the bat and showing little intent to score. Maxi could be handy against Ashwin and Jadeja and provides a another spin option on the SCG deck.

This is because opening is the easiest position in limited overs cricket. The field is up, the ball is hard, and it makes guys look better than what they actually are. Middle/late order batsmen need to be busy and inventive to be successful. Openers can get away with thrashing over the infield. This is why guys like Stoinis and Short get exposed down the order.

I don’t think they need a pace allrounder as Lyon and OKeefe are capable of bowling long spells. I’d be more inclined in picking 6 batsmen that can play spin and giving the bowlers something to defend.

Hmm… played Collingwood twice, Port twice, Brisbane twice…that 6 games v the top 3 teams. I don’t care if you don’t like the Crows, just be balanced. Everyone would be ropable if this happened to their team.
