I’m not buying that bro.. that’s just a misconception pushed by individuals who are fanning the flames of racism for personal gain or power. It died out a long time ago.

Unless you can show me a law or policy that gives one race an advantage over the other then I’ll be on your side. As far as I can see it’s equal opportunity for all.

'There's never a winner, just the next battle': The intense 102-year old rivalry that 'neutrals can't quite comprehend'

First off this talk about the Boks winning the two missed RWC is delusional.. For example of where the Boks were.. in 1992 Springboks lost to England 33-16. Lost to France twice 28-16 and 15-20. lost to Australia 3-26 they had a success rate of 20%.

In 1999 the Wallabies beat the Boks in the semi finals. This misconception that the Boks have this idea they would of won more RWC is delusional..

But between NZ & SA for me it all started back In 1928 when the All Blacks toured South Africa, and over the course of three months they played 22 matches, winning 16. The test series was tied 2–2, and a great rivalry was born.

But there was more at play than just rugby between these two teams.. example was in 1921 Springboks defeated New Zealand Maoris at Napier, a South African journalist described in a cable sent back to South Africa his shock and disappointment at seeing white spectators cheering for the Māori team.

(NZRFU) chose not to select Māori for tours to South Africa until 1970. In 1928 this meant leaving players like the legendary George Nēpia behind. Before the All Blacks toured the republic in 1960 there were calls of ‘No Maoris
No Tour’, and 150,000 New Zealanders signed a petition against sending a race-based team, but the tour went ahead.

Prime Minister Keith Holyoake’s statement that ‘in this country we are one people’ was translated into practice when a proposed 1967 tour to South Africa was cancelled.

For some this was the last straw. Those opposed to contact with South Africa attacked the NZRFU for allowing Māori players to be demeaned, and they argued that by continuing contact, New Zealand was condoning apartheid.
Moreover, by allowing Māori players to be treated in this way, we were allowing South African racial attitudes to infect our own society. Others, including many players, stressed that sport and politics should remain separate. Some, perhaps naively, argued that rugby contact with a multiracial country like New Zealand could promote change for the better in South Africa.

Then the 1981 tour.. Robert Muldoon made it clear that the government would not allow political interference in sport in any form. The NZRFU took this as a green light, and in September 1980 invited the South Africans to tour the following year. The deputy prime minister, Brian Talboys, wrote to Ces Blazey, the NZRFU chairman, expressing concern that a tour was even being considered.

Such contact would be seen as condoning apartheid and would affect ‘how New Zealand is judged in the international arena’. Muldoon said that he could see ‘nothing but trouble coming from this’, but when faced with the choice of cancelling the tour, he spoke of ‘our kith and kin’ in South Africa and the fact that New Zealanders and South Africans had served side by side in the Second World War. He reiterated his mantra that New Zealand was a free and democratic country and that ‘politics should stay out of sport.

But the game in Hamilton was canceled because of hundreds that invaded the pitch.

The Springboks defeated Taranaki in New Plymouth, but the real action that day occurred on Molesworth Street, outside Parliament in Wellington. Police used batons on anti-tour protesters for the first time.

The All Blacks won the first test 14–9. Protest action at the ground and around the country led one policeman to recall that it was ‘sheer luck’ that no one was killed that day.

The Boks squared the series with a convincing 24–12 victory at Athletic Park. The streets surrounding the ground resembled a battlefield as major protests occurred.

The All Blacks won the deciding third test 25–22. It was a game when ‘all hell broke loose’ as protesters fought with police outside the grounds and flour and smoke bombs were dropped on the ground from a Cessna aircraft.

Nelson Mandela recalled that when he was in his prison cell on Robben Island and heard that the game in Hamilton had been cancelled, it was as ‘if the sun had come out.. The history between these two nations is long and filled with drama and at times conflict.

That’s why when we play against SA it brings to the surface many emotions and feelings. It’s always a special event, one that no one takes lightly. Fact that it’s been so long that these two nations haven’t crossed paths in a final since 1995 is crazy. This final is massive for NZ! It can’t be understated how important this one game is in NZ rugby history.

The 1996 tour was one of my highlights.. The 2013 Tri Nations win at Ellis Park was another.

The RWC win over the Boks in 2015 was another great moment.. Fingers crossed this RWC final will add the epic history of these two proud nations 👍

'There's never a winner, just the next battle': The intense 102-year old rivalry that 'neutrals can't quite comprehend'

Forget what you’ve seen previously.. this isn’t the team from Twickenham or that lost against France.

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

He should move on. Bridge is burnt now, he has lost all his credibility within Australia.. pretty much the entire rugby community globally.

Twenty years of failure? The Wallabies were in the RWC final in 2015, semi final in 2011. Waratahs won a SR title in 2014. Rugby Championship winners 2015. It hasn’t been that bad.. Just recently, take in consideration covid pandemic a huge injury list past few years. Again.. should of stuck with Dave Rennie imo

'I'm so pissed off': Eddie open to walking away from Wallabies if it suits RA, sticks knife into Hoops, Quade

The ABs try to get a good mix.. The Boks make no mistakes or misunderstandings in their approach or the direction they’re heading.

Hansen said he looked back at 2019 with disappointment because he knew he made mistakes with his selections and in the week preparation for the semi finals. I’d like to think Foster also learned that lesson.

Anyway.. This is the team, the decisions have been made. Now he has to live with them. Go All Blacks!!! The country is fully behind the ABs, good luck 👍

COMPLETE RWC finals teams: All Blacks' answer to Boks' bold 7-1 bench call, Smith returns for England

Ignorance is bless, so they say

Legacy vs ego: The Springboks are playing for South Africa, the All Blacks are playing for themselves

Rassie is banking on set piece.. they want a stop start affair filled with tons of scrums. He’s selected a number of players based on their scrummaging abilities more than their work rate around the field. It’s a high risk if the game isn’t filled with errors or short arm penalties.
If the ABs are clinical and accurate, they’ll eliminate the Boks forwards and the bench will be obsolete.. If the Boks gets an injury.. say Faf de Klerk or Jesse Kriel the whole backline will be forced to shuffle around. It’s a big risk.
Size is great when things are going your way, but it can also be your worst enemy when things are going against you.

COMPLETE RWC finals teams: All Blacks' answer to Boks' bold 7-1 bench call, Smith returns for England

The media like to talk up this special thing SA has and the pride they have for their country. Sorry to say but it’s not unique only to SA every team feels the same way. Argentina is another example of a team that has immense pride.

The All Blacks are just the same, you would be foolish to believe they aren’t playing for their country and are representatives for their people and our culture. The ABs also have an invested interest in the black jersey, for NZ the All Blacks rugby jersey is something the whole country is proud of.

SA have a passion for SA that’s great. Rassie is also very good at tapping into that to get the players mindset to where he wants it to be. SA has a much larger Population with a much larger following. NZ population is tiny by comparison.. But the passion isn’t any less.

Legacy vs ego: The Springboks are playing for South Africa, the All Blacks are playing for themselves

Similar conditions to the QF in 2015 between the ABs & Boks I can see the game going along those lines.

COMPLETE RWC finals teams: All Blacks' answer to Boks' bold 7-1 bench call, Smith returns for England

Bring it!!! 😛 everyone’s talking the start.. I want to see the bomb squad being forced on early, most only have 20 minutes at best in them. It’s been a long WC for these guys

England react with fury as Bok cleared by World Rugby after TWO racism allegations made by Tom Curry

Didn’t see any other outcome.. storm in a teacup

I’m just saying their both unique characters. Has EJ made a video after losing?

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

The last 25 I think will be just as important.. if not more so. The ABs will revert back to standard practice of changing gears, the last quarter will be flat to the floor.

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

I see.. curious to see if they last the distance in this one. This won’t be the ABs you’re hoping for this weekend.

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

That’s one of my concerns is that rubbish finds it’s way into rugby. I’m crossing my fingers. Hopefully people start voting for non woke puppets. SA is similar to Poland as far as points of views go

RWC News: 'Take some gas out of that bomb' - ABs' response to Bok weapon who's 'some human', twist in Bongi slur saga

It’s a pity.. the crowd that does attend to the Force games are extremely passionate and enthusiastic about rugby. I’d like to think it would build stronger if ARU pulled its finger out and started to work harder. The new Optus stadium is an awesome venue for rugby.. I watched the ABs get flogged there

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Twickenham game was a mess, two yellow cards.. Scott Barrett a red, he was off the entire second half. Discipline was the issue there and again against France.. Our discipline has to be flawless! No doubt the Boks will push our buttons and try to milk penalties. We just have to be very clinical and as accurate as possible! If we can make our passes & off loads stick.. Find some gaps once we’ve established some momentum.. we should put the game out of reach with time to spare 👍

Also. The ABs bench are calling themselves Easy Company now, they’ve been watching band of brothers. Hopefully they can deal with the Boks bomb squad. I have a feeling this is going to be a very vintage performance by the All Blacks.

Did England's tactics against the Boks give New Zealand the blueprint for World Cup final victory?

Rassie is similar to Eddie Jones, very individual approach. Isn’t exactly run of the mill, the public have a love-hate relationship with him.

Hard to know who’s the head coach? Jacques Nienaber? We all know Rassie is pulling the strings, I can imagine Rassie being waterboy this weekend 😛

Can you clarify .. a 7-1 record spanking of the All Blacks?

'Wild honesty and deep anger' vs the 'good company man': Coaching box culture clash at heart of World Cup final

Thanks to the massive NZ & SA population that have parents who want their kids in rugby over AFL.. but it’s hard to push kids into a sport non of their school mates play. I lived in WA most of the Aussies I worked with or knew had no clue about rugby, it was all Fremantle or the Eagles mate. Particularly in regional WA, around Perth is slightly different.

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Nope. But I think his prospects are better with the ABs than the wallabies.

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Hard to compete with AFL in WA, kind of a niche sport. In the juniors it’s mostly made up of kiwis or SA parents or eastern state Aussies who moved to WA. Not many WA born players.

Curious.. How many Wallabies are actually born in WA, grew up playing in WA and played for the Wallabies??

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Haha you can’t handle SH teams being in 👍 the final can you 😛

Rugby’s descent into cynical play: Why neutral fans should back the All Blacks for the good of the game

Exactly, can’t say we don’t share more from this side of the Tasman. Wasn’t that long ago the bulk of the wallabies were kiwi.. coaches throughout Australia.

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Ok.. how many SR tittles have the Force won recently?

How are the wallabies going these days? Where’s he better off

'Didn't want to leave': The Aussie-raised star in World Cup final - and the 'vision' that led him to the All Blacks

Presies! Each to their own 👍
