The crowds that the Greater Waste of Space or GWS have been getting last couple of weeks are bigger than the crowds they get pre- pandemic and Swans get 25,000 if their lucky and they only turn up when their going good if not lucky to get 10,000 so don’t know where you get the idea AFL is taking over Sydney .

I live in Melbourne and i follow both codes, i am a member of an AFL club and i am a Member of a Rugby Leagues club also. I have played AFL and Rugby League when i was a younger man and before this virus hit us all i would go to AFL games to watch my team play every weekend nearly. And when i go to Sydney i will go and watch my team up there play also, but the one thing is because i have played both codes follow both codes i will always pick NRL over AFL for more excitement both playing and watching as a spectacle i would watch a NRL game before an AFL game and the NRL is run smarter administration wise than the AFL.

But that’s what the game plan is from the coach and the way they are coached, the first 5 plays run the balls one out up the middle and then kick it on the 5th that’s the only game plan he knows how to coach and that’s why the outside backs never see the ball. His game plan is so predictable opposition line is never threatened at any stage got absolutely no flair in their game all this one out running is a joke,and it all comes down to a bad coach.

Oh and i forgot they changed the rules in AFL this season and Kennett seems to want this change permanently, is they have shortened the quarters to the game, it must be more boring than NRL to lessen the time of the game to make it more interesting Kennett your a dope so keep your boring mouth shut and look in your own backyard.

I live in Melbourne and as far as Kennett goes he wasn’t much of a politician all he was and is a big mouth and a lot of people i have spoken to down here, when i have mentioned his name can’t stand him at all. He bought this state to their knees with his big head and mouth, he just talks crap all the time and if anyone or anything is boring he is it. I’m a Dragon’s man for 63 years and i go to footy down here nearly every weekend and i can tell you it’s much more exciting to watch a game of Rugby League live or on tv than to watch a game of AFL live or on tv.

What a dope and you aren’t talking for me at all, it’s a professional sport and they get paid big money to play as well. People pay big money to go to these games and want to be there for their couple of hours to get value for their money not to have this stupid idea of halving the time of the games. All the other footy codes haven’t changed their game times but then we are talking about AFL who are run by people who wouldn’t know how to run a chook raffle. I certainly won’t be going to the game anymore if they make it 15 min quarters and i go to support my team nearly every week but not to watch 15 min quarters.

Gee is the team of the last 20 years or is it suppose to be the team of the century like the headline says cause it seems like it was done by a 10 yo who only has seen these guys play if you are gonna do it properly do it properly or don’t do it at all. What happened to Thompson and Lillee, Marsh and Healy, and many many others better over the century than most of those.

Yes there is some more Mackay, Hunt, Lindrum, Charlton, etc etc i can name you hundreds better than the likes of Warne, Mcgrath etc etc.

The only 2 that would pick Warne is you and Warne himself outside of that not in the top 50 for me. Nowhere near Bradman’s class or a heap more of Australian sportsmen or women like Betty Cuthbert and Dawn Fraser, Shane Gould, we have had far better than him.

The best : Richie Benaud…….. The Worst : there are a few, all the 20/20 guys and their not so funny jokes, Warne telling everyone how good he was all the time, Petersen telling everyone how good he was and laughing at every word the other’s said which most of the time weren’t funny at all. If your wanting to be a commentator be a commentator not a stand up comedian and nobody wants to hear about how good you were call the game.

I think Andrew Voss is the best at the moment and the worst by a long way and always was the worst is Ray Warren. I think all the older commentators like Mossop, Hyde etc etc were far better than anything of today.

Well i think you are wrong about Aiken, i think he could be a really good player given the right chances. He has never been given any help from Lafai who i think is the worst centre playing football he has no skills whatsoever or a football brain. He throws stupid passes, runs sideways, hardly ever passes a ball and if he does it’s a suicide pass. Lomax and Aiken should be the centres and i am afraid that Mary has to go and go now wouldn’t know a good player f he jumped up and bit him on the backside, and his tactics and game plans are the worst i’ve ever seen from a coach always wanting to buy old has been player’s instead of good young player’s with a future.
