I agree that Maxwell has a phenomenal eye. He doesn’t however have the mental capacity for the longer form of the game. He is a short form cricketer and always will be.

I couldn’t agree more Craig. The time is right to blood some youngsters.

Mitch Marsh has never been good enough. You either have to be an elite bowler or batsman and bloody good at the other discipline to be a test quality all rounder. Faulkner isn’t an elite bowler or batsman and neither is Marsh.

I do like Travis Head but I have concerns over Lynn’s ability to transition into test cricket. He hits the ball very cleanly but I think he is too focused on the shorter forms of the game. I agree Head must continue to score runs (and big hundreds rather than 50s- he has scored 20 fifties and only 3 hundreds) consistently to be a chance to wear the baggy green.

I agree that Moises isn’t good enough but he is a better alternative to Marsh. Just don’t play an all rounder when we don’t have one that is good enough.

Lehmann is a jet!

Faulkner is a better bowler than Marsh. His bowling average of 24.36 at first class level is great. His batting is the issue. An average of 31.96 and only one hundred from 86 innings isn’t good enough.

I agree with your comments. I know there is little evidence of recent Tour de France winners failing drug tests. The sports history with drugs and my lack of trust with cyclists founded this statement. I don’t think we will ever become drug free in sport which is sad.

Meldonium is the icing on the sporting world’s drug-fuelled cake

Stringer is definitely a key forward due to his size, the amount of goals he kicks in that role and his style of play. I know he isn’t a traditional key forward but that’s what makes him so damaging. In the modern game players that can play multiple positions like Stringer can are more appealing for clubs to draft. He can play as a tall and small forward and he also looks at home in the middle. What a versatile player.

Who is the AFL’s best young key forward under the age of 24?

I tend to agree and in time I think he will overtake Darling. Darling sits above him on the list purely because of more active ‘decent’ years in the AFL.

Moore has a long way to go but he could be anything! He has the talent to become the best forward in the competition.

Very fair points. These statistics of driving accuracy, GIR etc are poor reflections of performance. Strokes gained is the only true reflection of how well a player is playing. Read Mark Broadie’s book ‘Every Shot Counts’ to gain a full understanding of this concept.

Hit it in the pine straw regularly at Augusta and you will have no chance of winning the green jacket!

I agree Benjamin. Charl is a big chance if he continues his current form. Being a previous winner at Augusta in 2011 will provide him with the belief that all golfers need to win a major. I hope the Leish performs solidly as he normally does at Augusta.

Scotty’s putting has always been so mental. He has found his groove with this new grip but I have always thought the short putter suits him.

I think Jason Day is trying to peak at the right time for the majors in 2016 but his form isn’t great at the moment.

The Leish is always a chance at Augusta and has performed very well. All great points Effers!
