Anytime a defender is blocked from tackling a kicker it should be a penalty regardless of wether is the first or the fift tackle or if it appears to be accidental, the Panthers have been doing it for over 5 years now & getting away with it.
Another thing they get away with is their line defence is always marginally off side, the refs need to penalize both tactics every time the Panthers resort to those dirty tactics and see how quickly they start playing in the spirit of the game again, have a look at a replay of any Panthers game & you will see both dirty tactics in every game

NRL's kick-blocker crackdown changes the game - but the question is do we want that?

Independently of who is supporting the bid & leaving politics aside, it will be great for PNG as a nation to have an NRL team, they just need financial help for infrastructure, players development and administration.
who knows, it may even be good for our game

Using the NRL as a political football for your Pacific solution is a dumb idea, Albo - and a waste of taxpayers' money

I have been reading your comments Tony & they sound like coming from a rusted on Liberal, even tough you are trying to make a point that politics & Rugby League shouldn’t mix.
as for your comment that “it will be at the expense of the game” I’m pretty sure lots of people from New South Wales & Queensland had a very similar opinion when the Storm was coming to the competition & we all know how all that negative talk ended up.
Having another Australian side in the competition be it from Queensland or NSW that has the support of part of their respective state, surely wouldn’t compare with having the support of a whole Rugby League MAD country, as from who supports the bid financially,
WHO CARES?
Having a team from PNG has more positives than negatives, besides we all have to accept the game is evolving and we as supporters need to evolve with it.

NAH!
You will only find coins there, try uncle Nick’s couch.
the whole couch is made of money ???????????????????????? 😊 😁 😛 😂

Jack Welsby is the NRL’s next big star - if there’s a club with the cojones to stump up the cash and go get him

The article is spot on, Melbourne doesn’t have the strength to challenge for the title, their best hope is to make a preliminary final against Penrith but that will be were their season will end,

I’m hoping that’s not the case but it’s more wishful thinking than anything

Storm lack impact in their pack - and mounting injury toll spells trouble for any hope of challenging for title

I think Will Warbrick has done enough to be in the conversation for Winger of the year

Dally M Medal: Who should win all the awards - Mr Consistency main threat to 'near certainty' Johnson for top honour

He’s more likely to play in the wing with paps at fullback, that’s what they did at the sunshine Coast Falcons to accommodate both of them in the same team, there’s no way the Storm are going to loan him to the Dragons or let him join another club, the kid is held in very high regard by the Storm and Bellamy.

ANALYSIS: Broncos minor premiership stalls as Storm streak hits 14 in a row - with rookie Fa'alogo stealing the show

Parra won’t beat Penrith, the Roosters will beat the Tigers, Souths have the bye that will take them to 30 points, next week when they play the Roosters they will both be on 30 points, the winner will take the final place in the 8.
I know some Parra fans are on denial but the simple fact is they won’t make it this year, NO IF’S NO BUT’S

NRL week 26 preview talking points: CNK gets lucky, it’s miracle time for Eels and do you really like what you do for a living?

I have no idea what kind of happy mushrooms are you on AJ but the Eels won’t make it, there’s no miracle happening.
Don’t give Eels fans any false hope, the points needed to make the eight are 32 with 2 games left Parra can only get to 30 if they win the 2 remaining games (which they won’t),
there’s 3 teams ahead of them on 28 points with only one spot up for grabs, I think you need to work on your maths.
Parra is done for this season, funny you write about Parra still having a chance to make the 8, Fox Sports commentators are writing the same thing(I think is the happy mushrooms they use that is making them hallucinate) when it’s mathematically impossible for Parra to make the 8.
Sorry my friend, the numbers simply don’t add up!

I think you may have the same supplier as the sport writers from Fox Sports old boy 😱 😊 😁 😂

NRL Run Home: And then there were 10 - Roosters set to fly past bumbling Bunnies and Cowboys for final playoff spot

I think the only 2 teams with a mathematical possibility of making the eight will be the Roosters and Rabbitohs, the cowboys won’t get there, the magic number I think is 32 points.
I read a foxsports report that had the Eels with a mathematical chance, I don’t know what illegal substances those reporters are on but Parra can only get to 30 points, which is simply not enough to make the 8, the only team in danger of missing the eight is Canberra due to their terrible differential, you can put a line through the other teams outside the 8

The Storm can probably clear the decks to accommodate Haas if they were to make a play, remember the signing would be for 2025, not for next year.
The Roosters would be on the same position as the Storm and make a late bid ( they have been known to sneak under the noses of favourites for a particular player’s signature in the past)
That’s why, judging from what Payne wants those are the only 3 teams apart from the Broncos that tick all the boxes, it will make no sense moving to another team and certainly not the Bulldogs when the Broncos are in a really good position to win a premiership within 2 years if not this year.

NRL News: RLPA & NRL agree 'in-principle' CBA deal, Fitzy certain Hynes can go higher, Parish quits as Samoa coach

I don’t understand why the media keeps mentioning the Bulldogs as a destination for Haas when they don’t fit the bill of what he wants from his next deal, out of all the things Payne wants the Bulldogs can only offer him money, premierships are at least 5 years away, life after football opportunities won’t be that many either.
All the noise is because he’s good friends with Sonny Bill Williams but he also played successfully for the Roosters, in my view there’s 3 teams apart from Brisbane that fits the Bill Panthers, Roosters and Storm.
I don’t think the Panthers have the interest or the cap space to make an offer, the Roosters could a perfect fit but have shown no interest, the Storm would be a formidable team with Haas in it.
My money is on him staying put at the Broncos

Barry the only team Souths will beat are the Dragons, maybe the Roosters.
You have a very optimistic view on current form Souths should finish 9th, the Knights & Cowboys could sneak into the 8, even if the Storm lose two games Souths will still end up 2 games short!

NRL Power Rankings: The logjam to end all logjams is brewing as finals favourites lose and outsiders close in

Put a Red Line through the Storm to win the premiership this year, with Ryan Papeynhouzen out of the team they don’t have the X factor that can provide the spark needed to win games, I don’t think he will play this year at all

Mathematical chances: NRL premiership race down to seven - and that’s probably being charitable

I’m a Storm fan and it pains me to say this but I think the Panthers will win it again, they’re just too good for the rest of the competition, for me the Darkhorses would be the Warriors and the Cowboys, they’re the only teams based on current form that can give the Panthers a run for their money.
The Raiders are too hot and cold, the Broncos have a good team and if they don’t fade again could make the last 4 standing teams at the end of the semis

Are the Sharks, Broncos or Raiders any chance to win the NRL premiership?

I’m not a fan of Jerome Luai and I dislike him as much as everyone who is not a Panthers fan dislikes him mainly because of his arrogance,
having said that if anyone has made death threats against him, the police should investigate and charge those trolls, players no matter how loved or hated they are shouldn’t have to put up with death threats.

NRL Transfer Centre: Roosters centre given immediate release, Souths swoop for Manly prop, Tigers lock down key rookie

Des Hasler is a good coach but his heart is & will always will be at Manly, the stint at the Bulldogs should be a remainder of that.
I think the better options for the Dragons would be John Morris, Shane Flanagan or both, I know people would be against Shane Flanagan because of the peptide scandal but, he has done his time and deserves the opportunity to coach again.
appointing 2 coaches maybe a weird idea to some but when you have been stuck in limbo for too long like the Dragons have been, you need to think outside the square and do something radical, like the saying goes “When you hit rock bottom, the only way is up”

Rugby league heroes and villains – part two

How is Taukehiaho more expensive than Smith?, he’s a good player but no where near Smith’s quality & price.
Maybe the secret is doubling the value of players like Taukheiauho & halving the value of players like Smith, then all of a sudden their cap makes sense!

Roosters make rivals envious with poaching power but it’s not their fault other clubs are salary cap dunces

if Verrills was of the same quality & price as Smith I will agree with you but your argument sounds like someone swapping an old crappy Korean made Holden for a Bentley and then arguing that the swap is genuine because they are both sedans!
