I’m with you here fellow Roar Member, I don’t think Newcastle will drop, there are a handful of other teams that I think are more likely to. Plus, any team with ASM is likely to produce some cracking results

Premier League table prediction 2021-22: Hammers to sink as trophy heads back to London

Great analysis of all the teams, I do think LFC is being slept on a bit due to our poor run of form at the start of the year. If Big Rom can replicate his form from Inter, I can’t see Chelsea not making top 2

Premier League table prediction 2021-22: Hammers to sink as trophy heads back to London

Interesting insight into a very unknown prospect that is Chelsea this season. Intrigued to see their growth under Lampard and looking forward to the return of Loftus-Cheek. If him and Kante manage to work well together, the back half of the season could be a positive one for you lot.

Chelsea will exceed expectations this season. Here's why

3 at the back is really not the way forward for the roos, yes we haven’t lose whilst playing it yet but as you said, Brad Smith and Mat Leckie are not the players for it. Brad Smith’s constant bombarding down the wing and inability to anything but cross alongside Leckie proving he much better up front then at the back reveals that this is not the way forward. Furthermore, the first goal as outlined, explicitly revealed the flaws with 3 at the back, with 2 committing to the ball and being sliced open ridiculously to easy.

On a side note, mentioned by Mike cockerill, Alex Gersbach is our best LB at the moment and it is truly baffling why he is not picked in the final squad.

Socceroos beat Saudi Arabia in spite of systemic issues

In it’s entirety, a good team of the year, I like the inclusion of Heaton and Marcus Alonso, however I feel out of all Manchester United players, Valencia and Zlatan are the ones who should be represented not Herrera and Valencia.

Herrera has had a surprisingly great season, for a player who was not bought as a centre defensive midfield player, but the monumental impact of Zlatan upfront in scoring pivotal goals can’t go unnoticed. Also why Azpilicueta wasn’t in the PFA Team of the Year is completely beyond me.

My Premier League team of the year

completely agree with this, it’s not only his finishing but his vision, passing ability and awareness is at a higher level then any striker worldwide. If he continues in this vain of form he is a shoe in for team of the season next January and possibly a potential Ballon D’or nominee

Luis Suarez is currently the best striker in the world
