Different standards of evidence. In civil court it’s just more likely than not, criminal is beyond all reasonable doubt.
Whether NRL celebrates Jennings' milestone or not is irrelevant, the real issue is should he have been allowed back?
Is this “woke” in the room with us now?

I swear the umpires must have crypto investments they’re trying to boost with some of the reviews they’re calling for.

Umpiring is really poor and inconsistent this year. They need to re-establish the whole squad with no preference to incumbency

Yeah but the Swans and Giants beat them by more. So at best you’re third favourites 😛

What I found really bad was that Collingwood barely scored from anything that wasn’t a turnover. I know it’s a priority but you need to score more consistently out of a clearance than they did last night, otherwise they will not a beat a good team this year

We already have send off and sin bin in lower grades of the sport. If weekend amateurs, semi professionals and reserve grade players and umpires can deal with it, then the professional level should be able to handle it too.
Leigh Matthews is wrong - the AFL doesn't need a send-off rule, and introducing one would just make things messier
A lot of people tipping all the same way. People need to be bolder at the start of a new season. That’s why I’m tipping the Tigers, Swans, Crows and Dockers. Could get all of them wrong but that’s part of the fun
The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 1: Huzzah, full footy weekends are back!
You’re right. Pulling numbers out of your arse isn’t an exact science. Considering this started by me stating that there were “more” people at the Giants and Suns, an objective fact, you chose to semantically argue over whether the crowd figures match your hunches based on a couple of camera views. Christo is right, you’re just arguing for the sake of it
The AFL didn't need to rob the NRL's house with Opening Round - it's more than big enough already
You thought there was 10,000 at the Giants and 29,000 at the SCG? Just going to disregard

If a corporation is “more than big enough already” does that mean we can abolish capitalism at last?

Yeah the MCG is an easier ground to get to than the SCG.
Well I was there and there were not that many empty seats but there were a lot of people standing at the back of the concourses.

Well the game was on a Thursday night, a time built around TV ratings not crowd figures and there were about 1500 fewer people there. However, there were more people at the Suns and Giants games and Brisbane was close to equalling its highest H&A crowd from last season. That seems like a pretty decent turnout
The AFL didn't need to rob the NRL's house with Opening Round - it's more than big enough already
I mean the MCG holds 4 or 5 times the number of people the Suns and Giants home ground that’s a bit of a silly comparison. Considering Carlton and Richmond have like 250 combined years of football and 29 premierships, if they weren’t more popular that would be a terrible indictment on those clubs
The AFL didn't need to rob the NRL's house with Opening Round - it's more than big enough already
I don’t think AFL X ever had a sellout let alone 4 so I think this was a bit more successful
