I’m genuinely concerned I actually do bleed blue and gold...

Have a listen to Hayne’s interview after the game. It’s been circuling around on The Roar titled “I ripped into everyone” I believe. He speaks about how during a training session that started off poorly last week, everyone ended coming to blows. Seems to me that they all finally let their emotion out, stopped being scared and just let loose. It’s like they needed each other to realise that they are in this together but they are letting each other down. Unlike Manly, it was a good fight that they all needed.

In defence of Brad Arthur

Personally, I’m very happy he’s been named on the wing. I never liked the idea of him at centre and I’m glad BA has made this decision. Hayne was never going to get fullback once Gutho was fit so it was always going to be the wing verses centre debate. They tried centre, now let’s try wing. I think it’ll prove much more successful. I’ll be happy to admit it if I’m wrong though.

If the Parramatta Eels lose Brad Arthur, they lose me

Definitely not giving up!

Thank you for the support Matt, I appreciate it!

I’ll just say that it would definitely take a hell of a lot to lose me as a fan, if it ever could happen. I’ve seen many coaches already in my near 10 years as a fan, I ain’t going anywhere any time soon haha

Totally agree with you. Seems that when a team is struggling the media will jump at any chance of a story they can get. They would never dare risk de-railing a team going well though which is why we never heard any rumours of Parramatta players disliking each other last year but suddenly, they all can’t stand each other apparently. Frustrating stuff!

About 3 games in I rolled my eyes at fans saying the big difference is the loss of Radradra but boy was I wrong. They definitely need a strike winger like him

Seems like we are on the same page! My apologies, I thought you thought I agreed with Hadley and therefore I was for the sacking rather than opposed. I agree furthermore with everything you’ve stated

I really like that take Craig. As soon as I saw Jarryd’s name I was scared I was about to read another take on how no one likes him etc etc but I was very pleasantly surprised. I hadn’t thought of that and I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. These boys definitely need to thrive off the uncomfortability more.

I agree! Too early to call for a sacking too.

Hi Ray J,

I am definitely taking these notes on board. I didn’t mean to compare the two as if BA deserves an extension on his contract or anything, I more so just meant to comment on the faith they have in him despite the start of the season. Perhaps I worded it badly or could have explained further. I’m still developing as a writer, my apologies.

If the Parramatta Eels lose Brad Arthur, they lose me

I totally agree with you Nat, unfortunately though I have seen many fans that are on board with sacking BA and some specifically using Hadley’s comments as ammunition. I believe many fans are scared the season won’t turn around and that it’s too late even if it did. I believe they latch on to anything a person with a platform says and run with it.

Hi Paul,

My intention in this article was never to say that I agreed with Ray Hadley. I do not agree with him at all. In my original version of this article I had written “despite my opinion on his thoughts” and went on however it seems that has been edited out. I simply included Hadley’s comment as one I could not ignore because of the affect it would have on the fans. From his one statement already I’ve seen many fans taking it as gospel, as I mentioned, and therefore calling for BA’s sacking.

I am concerned that you have misunderstood the purpose of this whole article. I am very aware that there are many factors affecting the Eels this season which is why I thought I was making it clear that I don’t believe BA deserves any of this sacking talk.

While I totally agree that what the TIgers are doing this season is absolutely amazing and I’m not trying to say beating Melbourne twice isn’t sensational, I will say that it isn’t unheard of. In regular seasons, Manly beat them twice in 2015, Bulldogs twice in 2014, Roosters twice in 2014. In the whole seasons (including finals) Sharks beat them twice in 2016 and North Queensland beat them twice in 2015.

Woods, Teddy and Moses have made their beds. Now lie in them

Nothing against you at all or against this article even but personally, I am so tired of hearing the same old Brooks vs Woods/Tedesco/Moses song and dance. Perhaps it was funny for the first two or three rounds but it is getting very tiresome now. I would hope Tigers fans would be enjoying the success of their team more than the failure of these three ex players (who they LOVED when they were at the club) but I’m not too sure they are and it’s disappointing. I wish they would just let the ladder do the talking. Enjoy a little smirk here or there but I feel like so many Tigers fans are going out of their way to celebrate the misfortunes of these three players. They are out of your team now, they don’t get to enjoy the success your team is experiencing so stop including them in your discussions. If you are so mad at them, they shouldn’t deserve a second away from celebrating the Tigers.

Again, this isn’t aimed purely at you, just wanted to share my thoughts.
