Hi Lucky, I would have to disagree as I’m sure Mayweather will attempt to knock Pacquio out if he can on the counter. Yes he does not have the knockout power of Manny and is a more defensive fighter but people forget that Floyd still has 26 knockouts out of 47 wins, so when he wants or feels the need to he can pack a punch

Mahee you may well be right, as I said in the article I cannot definitely say there won’t be as I can’t tell the future. But ultimately, in predicting the future one must look at past events, and past events indicate that Bradman’s average will remain at the top of the tree.

To be honest, if they are I’d prefer they do get caught cause the truth of cycling needs to be out in the open, but let’s hope we never have to worry about that.

Tiger I’m not saying every rider is clean, there will always be those few who try to beat the system, but what I am saying is that jus because Froome hasn’t been subjected to a USADA investigation like Armstrong doesn’t mean he is a cheat the same. Secondly, Froome hasn’t come from nowhere to dominate this Tour de France, he was second last year and had podium finishers in grand tours such as the Vuelta the year before. Unlike Armstrong who virtually came from nowhere to win the 1999 Tour, thus arousing suspicion about the legitimacy of his performances.

And teams will be more aware now of the increased danger of being caught if they do run doping programs, thus they are much less likely to do so.

Thanks Sam for your nice words. I certainly agree, Froome’s victory was without a doubt one of the most dominant he we have seen, and as you stated he was much less reliant on team support than Wiggins last year. Thanks for commenting on my live blogs and other articles during the Tour!

Great article Kate, I certainly agree it is crucial that as much cycling is on free to air TV for the development of cycling in Australia. Also as you pointed out, SBS is the best at covering all cycling, and I personally couldn’t imagine not listening to Paul Sherwen and Phil Ligget during the great month of July. Awesome news.

But ALL HAIL FROOME! The Brit once again stuck with Quintana again today, before being attacked 1km from the line. But it didn’t matter, with the Brit winning the Tour by a remarkable 5 minutes (approximately, full results still to be confirmed) to become the 2nd Brit ever to win the Tour after Bradley Wiggins became the first ever last year. It’s also 2 in a row for team SKY who are without a doubt the dominant team of world cycling.

Contador has come in 7th, heartbreak for the Spaniard who was in 2nd place prior to today but now has easily slipped out of the top 3 to finish 4th in the Tour, meaning he misses out on a podium place in the GC. Ultimately it was a hugely disappointing Tour for Contador, 4th place finish for a two-time winner at just 30 in the prime of his career is not a result he will be happy with………

Valverde crossed the line 1:14 behind to finish 4th in the stage, and give him possibly a top 10 finish in the GC. Porte has just finished 5th, Telansky 6th to take a top 10 finish.
