Hooper worst captaincy record ever – should not even be considered.
Whilst we’re talking about considerations Fraser McReight is our best #7.

Picture worth a thousand words: Eddie's leadership team looks locked in - and the missing man who could top it

The most unsuccessful wallabies captain in history

'It's all juicy stuff': Hoops reveals Wallabies captaincy stance, Jones thoughts ahead of Tahs' Super opener

In that passage of play, there’s really nothing wrong. I wouldn’t penalise the French either – and yes, I’m a qualified referee.
And, don’t be too hasty highlighting the French, Hooper does exactly the same thing.

Four things the Wallabies need to change

Why is the Reds former team mate Nick Berry refereeing?

Are the Brumbies about to lose their mantle as Australia’s No.1 team? Part 2

So we weaken our breakdown capability and bring in Hannigan to win a line out or 2!
Doesn’t make sense when Rennie said we struggled at the break down. Hooper is not effective at the break down either. consistently inaccurate / consistently misses his man in contact and is not a line out option.
I can see the wallabies getting slow messy ball and the media will slam Nic White and James O’Connor.

Ned Hanigan returns as Dave Rennie makes four changes to Wallabies team for Bledisloe 2

Yep – on the bus.
Canberra to Berrima -stop for a break
Then Berrima to Sydney.

Brumbies deny Waratahs in thriller

Can’t have it both ways. Kicking got the waratahs in the winning position to start with.

They had all the ingredients to win, but didn’t.
Brumbies – like everyone – had 4 months off, played 1 game then had a week off – doesn’t help continuity.
Had to travel 4 hours on the day to play – no 24/48 hours prior anymore.
The pitch was greasy and slippery.
When it was 15 vs 15 the Brumbies scored 24-6.
When the waratahs were dominating, the penalty count was 7-1 in their favour, including dubious 50/50 calls.

You’ve got this completely back to front.
The Brumbies were on the wrong end of the calls. Robertson’s shoulders below his hips and ends up on the ground under Allaotoa and Allaotoa gets penalised for hinging.
Ps. The waratahs did win the set piece battle.
Penalised the Brumbies without question, but all through the game you can hear Gardiner “coaching” the waratahs.
If you take off your sky blue and navy blue glasses, you can hear all game, Simmons, hooper, HJ-H, Hannigan, Swinton doing the whinging.

Look at the tactics of the Brumbies in the last 20 minutes.
They started playing the inside balls which doesn’t seem like much, but all of a sudden, the waratah defence lost their line speed, and the Brumbies controlled the game resulting in the final try.

Hooper Herculean effort? Over-rated as always.
Cusack outplayed him, When Will Miller came on, he outplayed him.

Hooper may make 19 tackles a game, but 15 would be passive.
I think you lot get conned by hooper running around blowing his cheeks like a puffer fish, and thinks he’s actually doing something.

Hooper is like a dog chasing seagulls on the beach. He runs around all day looking busy, but actually does nothing.

He got 0 turnovers and cannot clean out.
World class? Yeah right.

Michael Hooper's starting Wallabies spot is at risk
