Love the use of the phrase “dibba dobba”. I am sure the Mum in question was also on the phone to complain about the abuse directed at the players on the pitch. Pretty sure she doesn’t wouldn’t what FTT stands for as well.

Is any publicity good publicity for the A-League this week?

“Spitting is the lowest form of assault in a lot of people’s eyes. It’s the actions of a coward and a grub.”

As opposed to breaking an opponents leg with a terrible tackle. Not condoning his actions but I can think of a lot worse things on the football field than spitting at someone.

Covic omission from AFC Player of the Year nominations is a Sham

Paul Okon is still living off the respect earned during his playing days and appears to be a protected species despite his poor performances as a coach. And no one appears to have the balls to come out and call him out on his poor coaching especially in the media.
His ego is also enormous and cannot take criticism (just view his twitter account anytime someone makes the slightest criticism of his teams) and by all accounts is a poor communicator with his charges

Vidmar’s respect for Europe the way forward

“Between Villa, Duff and Koren – in addition to Dutchman Rob Wielaert and Argentine Jonatan Germano – City have assembled arguably the most domineering arsenal of international talent in the league.”

Hyperbole much. Wielaert is hardly a defender that strikes fear into the opposition and Germano is not the player he was two or three seasons ago. Add to that that Villa is only around for nine more games and you are left with only Duff and Koren as your so-called domineering arsenal of international talent.

A-League needs Villa fever each and every week

Please enlighten me. As far as I understand Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club Inc. is just another name for Melbourne Knights Soccer Club Inc. so in fact they were putting the former name of the club on the front of their shirt. If I am incorrect please point me in the right direction.

FFA has gone too far in its attempt to de-ethnicise football

In their haste to sink the boot into the FFA, many have failed to raise the issues you have mentioned. It was a deliberately provocative action by the Melbourne Knights. In fact the author of this article has failed to justify why Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club Inc., is actually a legitimate sponsor and failed to do any research as to what sort of company Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club Inc. actually is.

To say that many of this group have played together and won together is a bit of furphy. The only thing they have won is the Olympics and failed to win the Copa America on their own turf in 2011. Only Pablo Zabaleta, Ezequiel Garay, Fernando Gago,Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero remain from that 2005 squad. A squad which featured one Patricio Perez, who plied his trade for the Central Coast Mariners for a year.

The myth of Jogo Bonito has been destroyed

Has to be Melbourne because there is a supporter group that has been around since 1847. Think they call themselves the Melburnians.

Which A-League city boasts the best football culture?

Brendan Rodgers isn’t English. He’s from Northern Ireland, so he’s British at a stretch.

Liverpool to blame for their own title race implosion

Don’t worry the Victory will be playing South Melbourne soon enough. South Melbourne Heart that is.

Time for Victory to meet Old Soccer again

Didn’t see anyone complaining that the Olympics were in China in 2008 or the U20 World Cup is in Turkey at the moment. Much more “repressive” than Brazil.

Is it morally acceptable to attend the 2014 World Cup in Brazil?

You can do that by just going to Brazil any other time of the year.

The MLS also has a continental competition to play in which sort of makes your opening statement redundant.

Closer ties between the leagues should be paramount as both operate in very similar sporting environments, there is much we can learn from each other.

Time for the A-League and MLS to join forces

Sticking up for your mates isn’t a good look

Jesse Fink blows the lid on SBS editorial pressure

Aren’t we over Brisbane Roar yet? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Swansea as entertaining as watching Roar play

New one in the pipeline 😉

A-League: How Brisbane Roar and Gold Coast United won their finals

Brilliant analysis there

A-League: How Brisbane Roar and Gold Coast United won their finals

I think you highlighted a key point there. In the past people would criticise Merrick for playing 3 DMs, Sunday saw zero DMs play against Gold Coast and thus conceding that area of the pitch. To be honest I didn’t think that Gold Coast really did that much with their width tbh.

A-League: How Brisbane Roar and Gold Coast United won their finals

This “James” guy seems to know a lot for someone not involved in active support. The idea that the Victory supporters actually wanted HEM is an absolute joke and I’m pretty sure it was something that the Cove wanted. this is just another article on this website that has no basis in fact.

What's going on with Victory fans?

The Roar has stooped to a new low allowing this to see the light of day

Shane's Warnie is a first-class show

This article is not as hard hitting as The Roar is espousing it to be.

Lowy, Hargitay's broken promises are poor excuses

Melbourne has also never had a full strength side to pick from in Asia as well.

What Victory versus Roar clash showed us

Or the foul on Kruse by DeVere that should have been a send off. But we will let you get away with that one.

What Victory versus Roar clash showed us

“Tomorrow night the Newcastle Jets will play their second mid-week game in as many days”

How is that possible?

Only FTA can make midweek football work

I have to agree with Fussball the comparison between Jeffers and Thompson based purely on time out the game is a very poor one indeed.

Jeffers strong start a lesson for the A-League
