A blockbuster clash of the titans awaits us today, as the new-look Brooklyn Nets take on the Milwaukee Bucks in Brooklyn. Join The Roar at 11:30am (AEDT) as we follow the game with live scores and a blog.

As everyone who follows the NBA would know, the basketball world had a major shift when James Harden was traded to Brooklyn early last week. This shot the Nets to favourites to win the Eastern Conference, as the team is now led by the superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Harden and Kyrie Irving.

In his Nets debut, Harden dazzled as he notched a triple-double, securing 32 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists. Meanwhile, superstar teammate Durant had an all-time high scoring night in a Nets jersey, splashing 42 points. Despite losing players such as Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert, the Nets looked more dominant than ever – and they were also missing Irving.

While this one performance may have the Nets as favourites to win this game, that is only a small sample size of the team’s play. Plus, the Bucks are a bit more talented than the Orlando Magic outfit that Brooklyn played on Sunday. Being led by Giannis Antetokounmpo (26.6 points per game and 10 rebounds per game), the Bucks are always a chance as the two-time MVP award winner brings his all every night on the court.

Surrounded by a supporting cast featuring Kris Middleton, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez, the Bucks are not going to roll over easily, even against a team as powerful as the new-look Nets.
