Match result:

Melbourne United have levelled the NBL Grand Final series 1-1 after thumping the Perth Wildcats 92-74 in front of just over 10,000 people at Melbourne Arena.

It started as a pretty even contest in the first quarter with the usuals for the Wildcats standing out being Bryce Cotton and Terrico White.

Not much changed in the second quarter as things were almost identical expect Melbourne came on top by one point at halftime.

Last Friday night, the Wildcats came out after halftime the better team and go the crowd to steer them out.

That happened with Melbourne this time with Mitch McCarron starting and giving Melbourne an-11 point lead heading into the final break.

With some monster threes and more home crowd advantage, Melbourne followed on to win by 18 points.

Cotton, White, Casper Ware and Chris Goulding were the top scorers.

Terrico White and Bryce Cotton as they have all season, have been the standouts for the Wildcats with White bagging 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists plus a healthy field goal average of 53 per cent.

Bryce Cotton was the other game changer as he got 10 points, seven rebounds and a whopping eight assists.

One thing that Melbourne United need to do if they are going to win this game is the shocking turnover points stat.

United conceded 23 turnover points in game 1 compared to the Wildcats conceding only 10.

Imagine the difference that could have been in Game 1 if Melbourne did better there.

Prediction
Dean Vickerman has never lost a home final as a coach and I don’t see that changing today. The loud noise that the Wildcats benefited from in Game 1 will know be for Melbourne.
