The Golden State Warriors will still be understrength, but are virtually moving into a must-win position on their home floor when Game 4 of the NBA Finals tips off against the Toronto Raptors at the Oracle Arena. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 11am (AEST).

While the first two games were split in Toronto, the mountain of injuries were simply too much to overcome for the Warriors in the third game of the series back on their home floor.

With Kevin Durant, Kevon Looney and Klay Thompson on the sideline, even an inspired 45-point showing from Steph Curry wasn’t enough to get the multiple-time champions over the line.

Durant, rated the best forward in the league by many, has been ruled out again for Game 4 as the series starts to reach the clutch phase, while Klay Thompson is expected to return.

But even the return of their shooting guard doesn’t make things anymore certain, although maybe the biggest advantage is that Shaun Livingston can return to being a role player and give them much-needed depth on the bench.

During this series, the Raptors, for the most part, have looked like the better side with Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard leading the charge, but whenever the Warriors turned up in defence during Game 3, it looked like they were going to bridge the gap.

Unfortunately, those stretches were few and far between, but the only real difference in the series so far for Toronto has been on the stats sheet with shooting percentage. If they get shut down there, held to under 50 per cent from the floor, then the Warriors are the better side by a distance because of the weapons from outside and the ability to turn it on in a hurry when needed.

Toronto must continue moving the ball, searching for good shots and hope the Warriors don’t catch fire, while backing themselves to be aggressive in offence if they want to push ahead 3-1.

Prediction
This is going to be another cracker in what has already been a good finals series. The Warriors get Klay Thompson back and must find a way to win. I suspect they will to tie things up.

Warriors by 9.

FULLTIME The Toronto Raptors are going to be one game away from a title, and this could be it for the Oracle Arena. The Warriors are going to have to come back from 3-1 to get the three-peat of championships. Incredible performance tonight from the Raptors. They were threatening to be blown out during the first half there, but their defence kept them in it, then Kawhi Leonard, who finished with 36 points and 12 rebounds, led them through a dominant second half to grab the W. Warriors - 92 Raptors - 105

Q4 2' Green now defending Curry and he misses on a jumper from the low post. Raptors will run some time off the clock, walking it up the floor, before Siakam gets an open look and drains it. Warriors - 89 Raptors - 101
