Another big game in the NBA today, as the Utah Jazz host the New York Knicks. Both teams have had solid seasons and will be looking to come out with the win against a challenging opponent. Join The Roar at 1pm (AEDT) as we follow the game with live scores and a blog.
Utah are currently the hottest team in the league, sitting on a nice eight-game win streak. The Jazz are sitting third in the Western Conference with a 12-4 record and will be looking to continue that streak today.
Both Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have been brilliant for Utah. Mitchell has been averging 24.3 points, five assists and four rebounds per game. He has been leading the team strongly, while Gobert has provided the big man presence in the paint. He is averaging 13.5 rebounds and nearly three blocks (second in the league behind Myles Turner).
Jordan Clarkson has also been having a terrific year off the bench for the team, providing a strong scoring touch from the pine.
The Knicks have had a surprising start to the season. They are currently sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference and have had some standout performances from a number of players. RJ Barrett has begun to look solid, as have Mitchell Robinson, Immanuel Quickley and Elfrid Payton.
However, the standout player has been Julius Randle, who has become an early candidate for Most Improved Player. Randle has started the season averaging over 22 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, which are all career numbers. If he is able to carry his team, the Knicks will stand more of a chance of toppling Utah.
