'F---ing joke!': Lithuania coach's all-time press conference blow up
It’s fair to say Lithuania coach Dainius Adomaitis isn’t thrilled with the officiating at this year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup.
After Lithuania bowed out of the tournament following their defeat at the hands of France, Adomaitis unleashed on the referees in a short and anything but sweet post-match press conference.
With 30 seconds left and Lithuania down 75-76, France’s Rudy Gobert appeared to get away with clear goaltending, which if punished would have seen Lithuania awarded two points.
They would go on to lose 76-78.
There have been reports Lithuania have lodged a protest over the controversial finish.
Adomaitis also took aim at the Boomers, his side’s opponent in their previous match, saying they had been allowed to turn the game into “rugby” by officials.
