LaVar Ball tees off at the Lakers over Lonzo trade

Anthony Davis will reportedly join the Lakers next season after the New Orleans Pelicans agreed to a blockbuster trade. But not everyone is stoked.

According to ESPN, the Pelicans will receive a sizeable bounty from the Lakers including three first-round picks along with Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart.

For Ball’s father LaVar – who has never shied away from the spotlight – it’s an unfortunate twist after he predicated immediate success for his son with the Lakers when he first was drafted to the franchise with the second pick of the 2017 NBA draft.

So it’s hardly a surprise that the man behind the ‘Big Baller’ brand name was quick to denounce the Lakers for the move which won’t become official until next month.
